After Going Viral on a Dating Show, I'm Pampered by All-Chapter 66 - : Sang Qiao: You kiss me? You like me?
Chapter 66: Chapter 66: Sang Qiao: You kiss me? You like me?
After walking out of the company’s main gate, Sang Qiao got into the car of her personal driver and headed back to the set.
Upon reaching her destination, she immediately went upstairs to find Lin Weichen, knocked on the door of their room, and the person inside opened the door with a nervous look at her.
“Sister Qiao, are you here to tell me if my resume passed or not?”
“Before that, I wanted to know who paid your penalty fee for contract breach?”
Sang Qiao couldn’t help but smile at his nervousness; she hadn’t realized before that he could have any emotions other than cold indifference.
Lin Weichen was momentarily stunned by this question, “Wasn’t it you, Sister Qiao?”
...
“No, don’t you know who it was?” Sang Qiao frowned slightly. Was Si Chenli the kind of person who does good deeds without leaving a name? She didn’t know.
She was too embarrassed to ask him directly, so she thought she’d ask Lin Weichen instead.
“I don’t know. The agent from the company called me out of the blue yesterday and told me that from now on, I’m no longer under their control and that I can go wherever I want. I thought it was you who negotiated my release…”
Lin Weichen held back part of what he wanted to say, which was President Wang mocking him, saying that he always acted too proud and unwilling to submit in the past but now had found someone better to sell his “butt” to.
The humiliating words seemed to echo in his ears, and his palms clenched unintentionally.
“Alright, I understand. From now on, you belong to Rose Entertainment. Do your best in the reality show and let your true nature shine.”
Sang Qiao left this meaningful message and turned to walk back to her own room.
“I will not let you down,” Lin Weichen said, his voice full of determination.
“Good.” Sang Qiao thought of how Fu Xing had said the same thing to her at the beginning, his timid yet eager demeanor surfacing in her mind.
Unfortunately, things had changed.
Sang Qiao opened the door to her room and just as she entered, she saw Si Chenli lying on the bed on a call, with his legs straight downward from the knee, shiny black leather shoes on the floor.
The hem of his casual shirt was lifted at one corner, revealing his strong and toned abs.
They looked incredibly tactile, and she guessed there must be eight-pack abs hidden under the shirt.
His expression while on the phone was indifferent, exuding an inviolable dignity, and he spoke concisely.
“Mhm, sign.”
“Cancel the contract with Starlight.”
The man’s words were brief, and he would take a long time before responding, probably because the other party was speaking.
As long as he talked on the phone, Sang Qiao stood at the door, watching his abs until Si Chenli hung up and sat up, his abs concealed by the shirt.
It was only then that Sang Qiao snapped back to her senses. What was she doing looking like a pervert?
She quickly walked over and sat in the chair in front of the computer desk, thought for a moment, and still decided to clear the air, “Ahem, I wasn’t eavesdropping on your conversation.”
“It’s fine if you heard,” Si Chenli put his phone aside and said with a faint smile.
“That… does Lin Weichen’s contract termination have anything to do with you? Did you pay the sixty million?” Although Sang Qiao asked this, she was actually sure it was him.
The Si Family didn’t own an entertainment company, and if it weren’t for her reconsidering Lin Weichen, Si Chen wouldn’t have bothered to help an unknown artist break a contract for nothing.
The more she thought about it, the less she understood some of his actions, and she couldn’t comprehend why, if he had no intention of avenging his past broken engagement, he’d come to the reality show in the first place?
You can’t seriously be doing this just for the top spot on the CP ranking, can you?
“So what if I am?” the man’s dark eyes looked at her, his thin lips pressed together—he had no intention of hiding it from her, nor did he plan to deny it.
“I’ll transfer 60 million to you,” Sang Qiao swallowed hard, finding it difficult to speak—not because of the exorbitant price but because of… some complex emotion hidden in the man’s eyes.
She keenly sensed his displeasure.
“Sang Qiao, do you think I’m short of money?” Si Chenli chuckled, his tone neither cold nor warm.
Sang Qiao felt her heart racing. She gritted her teeth and blurted out, “Other than money, I have nothing else to give you. Now that Lin Weichen is under my brand, I won’t let you exploit him! Just give up on that thought!”
At her words, the man’s face instantly grew darker, his attitude almost a sneer.

“You think I’m interested in Lin Weichen?”
“What else, then? Surely not me or Meng Wange, right? No, it couldn’t possibly be me. We sleep in the same bed every day, and I have yet to see you show any reaction a man in love should have. I’m less dear to you than a pillow.”
Sang Qiao analyzed logically, then felt speechless about her own narcissism.
How could Si Chenli be interested in her? He was the quickest to agree to the breakup!
You see, in TV shows, the male lead who deeply loves the female lead would never agree to a breakup. Forceful possession and relentless pursuit are the real signs of deep love.
The more she thought about it, the more Sang Qiao became convinced it had to be Meng Wange. She stared at him and said seriously, “If you like Meng Wange, it’s possible to pursue her properly, but let’s not hype up our showmance too much. Otherwise, the fans will find it hard to accept you and Meng Wange together once filming ends.”
After hearing all of this, Si Chenli’s expression turned even more gloomy. He rose from the bed, striding over to her and stopped.
He bent slightly, his large hand grasping her chin and lifted her palm-sized face gently, placing a kiss on her lips. The lips of the young girl were very soft.
But the stay was not prolonged, and it was over quickly.
Sang Qiao couldn’t even recall the feeling of that kiss when she tried to think back. She was completely stunned, unable to react, with only the sense of touch on her chin reminding her that her first kiss was truly gone!
“You kissed me?”
“Do you still think I fancy Meng Wange?” the man chuckled quietly, in a noticeably better mood.
Sang Qiao couldn’t calm down, now compelled to overthink.
“Even if… if you like me, it won’t work. I don’t accept transactions of the flesh, I reject you. Maybe we should breach the contract for the showmance, so you don’t fall any deeper.”
At this response, the smile that had appeared in the man’s eyes began to wane.
Si Chenli released her chin, not forgetting to pinch her cheek hard, watching as the originally fair cheek reddened, then let go.
“You’re overthinking it. I just wanted to tell you—you are indeed more endearing than a pillow.”
Sang Qiao covered the reddened spot on her cheek, on the verge of tears. What was wrong with him? And his words only infuriated her even more. Couldn’t he have just said it directly?
Yet she felt relieved inside. It was okay if he didn’t fancy her, because if he did, it would really be troublesome.
She felt that she probably didn’t like him, and she didn’t want to hurt him again.
One broken engagement was enough; she didn’t want a second one.
She rubbed her slightly painful cheek and shot him a resentful glance, “I got it, I got it.”
“Let’s go downstairs for dinner.” Si Chenli quietly took note of her small gesture, his thin lips curving slightly.
He had been rejected once before; what was once more to him? No matter, there would be time in the future.
