After Divorce: Remarried to a Tycoon with Twin Babies-Chapter 179: Your Husband Needs a Good Morning Kiss Now
Julian Thorne opened his sleepy eyes and looked down to meet Vivian Sinclair’s gaze.
Vivian turned her flushed face away, "Ahem, good morning, Julian Thorne."
Saying this, she tried to escape from the bed.
Julian effortlessly pulled her back and held her in his arms again.
"Why are you running?"
"Your husband needs a good morning kiss right now."
With that, he leaned his face closer.
Vivian didn’t hesitate and immediately gave him a quick peck.
As a result, she pressed her lips together, feeling extremely shy.
Julian was naturally quite satisfied.
He turned his face and pinched Vivian’s cheek, "So, wife, do you want your husband’s good morning kiss?"
Vivian quickly declined, "No need!"
Julian: "No, you want it."
Vivian let out a surprised yelp as Julian forcibly planted several pecks on her face before he released her with a low chuckle.
"Julian Thorne!"
"Can’t you be a little gentler?"
Vivian, annoyed, sat up and punched him.
Julian willingly accepted it.
Afterward, he propped himself up on his side, watching his wife slowly get out of bed, and casually replied, "Next time, I’ll control the strength."
Vivian threw him a sidelong glance, her face red, and quickly retreated to the bathroom.
When she came back out, she had already freshened up.
After a night’s rest, Vivian’s spirits had notably recovered.
She remembered her promise to Catherine Sinclair earlier, and when Julian also came out of the bathroom, she asked, pretending to be nonchalant, "That Zack, does he have some sort of story?"
Julian was in the middle of getting dressed; he instantly saw through her intentional inquiry upon hearing Vivian’s question.
"Are you very interested in him?"
Vivian: "Not me, you know, I’m asking for Catherine."
"She thinks something happened to Zack and just wants to care for him, that’s all."
"Can’t you say?"
Julian took off his upper body nightwear, revealing a healthy and toned physique.
Even though Vivian had seen it before,
she quickly turned her head away.
Then she pretended to be busy by applying skincare on herself.
Julian put on his shirt and, without even buttoning it, came over.
He placed his hands on Vivian’s vanity from behind, then looked down at her and said, "Of course I can tell you."
"But, I need my wife to help me button my shirt and tie my tie on the second morning of our marriage."
"Because there’s a very important press conference happening at ten-thirty this morning."
"So, if my wife could kindly help me, I wouldn’t mind telling her a little story."
Vivian looked at him through the mirror.
Julian, you’re really not giving anyone a breather! 𝕗𝕣𝐞𝐞𝘄𝐞𝚋𝚗𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹.𝚌𝕠𝚖
But Vivian was simply too curious about Zack’s past, so she had no choice but to follow Julian’s lead.
When Vivian’s fingertips inadvertently touched Julian, his eyes visibly darkened.
Vivian could only quicken her pace.
Yet these stubborn buttons were tighter than the last!
She struggled with them more and more, ending up flustered and clumsy.
Once she finally finished buttoning, beads of sweat had formed on Vivian’s forehead.
Next, she moved on to the tie.
Watching her unfamiliar technique, Julian asked softly, "You haven’t done this for him before?"
Vivian paused.
She looked up and complained while glaring at him, "Of course not."
"He and I... are more like polite strangers."
In fact, it was more than just polite strangers.
She and Austin Grant slept in separate rooms.
They were more like neighbors than a married couple.
But, she’d rather not talk about such embarrassing matters for now.
Julian smiled happily.
"So, I’m the first guy you’ve ever tied a tie for?"
Vivian finally understood what he was up to that morning.
It turned out it was another bout of unexplained jealousy and possessiveness.
For some reason, Vivian didn’t find his probing unpleasant; instead, it gave her a faint sense of joy.
She grabbed Julian’s tie, wrapped it around her hand twice, and then suddenly pulled hard to have him facing her directly, face to face.
Vivian spoke each word seriously to him, "I, and Austin Grant, are only married in name, do you understand?"
She hadn’t intended to be so blunt.
But being tormented by him any longer, Vivian feared it would only shorten her life.
So, she figured she might as well be clear.
Embarrassing or not,
it’s better than dancing around things with him.
There were many days ahead to live together.
Why play games with him?
She entered into the marriage intending to be genuine.
And she could feel his sincerity, too.
Since both were sincere, why bear grudges?
Vivian quickly convinced herself.
So, after finishing her words, she swiftly planted a kiss on Julian’s lips.
Watching him dumbfounded in place, Vivian giggled.
She realized that teasing someone you like and seeing their unexpectedly shocked expressions was so much fun.
Look at him, the dignified CEO of The Thornes’, the man who controls much of Ardis’s business arena, showing such a flustered expression at this moment.
However, this expression is limited to her alone.
"Julian Thorne, you’re going to be late for work."
Vivian Sinclair let go after speaking, but just as she turned to leave, she was pulled back into Julian Thorne’s embrace.
His voice was trembling slightly, carrying incomparable joy and elation.
"Vivi, it turns out I’ve truly gained the most precious treasure in the world."
"Although I don’t care about your past."
"I admit, after hearing what you just said, I’ve become so shallow."
"I’m very happy, and very shocked."
"Even more grateful that fate allowed us to meet."
"Vivi, I’m so happy."
As he spoke, he tightened his embrace, and Vivian Sinclair blushed, letting him hold her like this.
Until her stomach growled.
Vivian Sinclair pointed at her belly and said, "The babies are hungry."
Julian Thorne tapped her protruding belly with a finger, "Then let’s eat!"
The two of them held hands and went to the restaurant.
Stella Thorne was still sleeping in.
Felix said Sylvia Joyce had already left early in the morning.
"I heard your uncle, Mr. Joyce, was admitted to the hospital."
"Madam was quite anxious when she heard the news."
Julian Thorne frowned slightly but didn’t say much about it.
Once Vivian Sinclair finished eating, Julian Thorne asked Felix to dismiss everyone.
Then he slowly began talking about Zack, "When he was thirteen, his whole family was slaughtered."
"You can’t find this news anywhere now."
"But it did cause a bit of a stir in society at the time."
Vivian Sinclair was shocked into silence, not expecting it to be such a matter.
Julian Thorne: "He was studying abroad then, living at school, so he became the sole survivor."
"The rest, his grandparents, parents, and a sister, even the family dog, were all killed."
"Now, all the neighbors on the floor where his family lived have moved away."
"The case remains unsolved to this day."
Vivian Sinclair: "Then how did he end up working for you?"
Julian Thorne: "He held up a sign at the intersection asking the police to help catch the killer, to bring his family justice. But this matter was actually being suppressed by those in power at the time."
"The case was closed within three months."
"He wasn’t afraid of dying and refused to go to school, holding up a sign everywhere, trying to make it a big deal."
"Someone tried to do him harm, my father secretly rescued him."
"Perhaps my father saw his resilient character, intending to train someone useful for me in the future."
"Later, after my father’s unexpected death, I continued to oversee his training, sending him to the military for a few years."
"However, he indeed has not let my father and me down, his skills and intelligence are quite impressive."
Vivian Sinclair was shocked and terrified by what she heard.
It’s apparent that Zack didn’t have it easy either.
"And that case with his family..."
Julian Thorne: "I’ve been helping him investigate over the years."
"I suspect those people are the same group."
Vivian Sinclair suddenly understood.
Julian Thorne had mentioned the time he and his sister were kidnapped when young.
To this day, the whereabouts of those kidnappers remain unknown.
So what he’s suggesting is that those who killed Zack’s family could be the same group of kidnappers?
The thought made Vivian Sinclair’s skin crawl.
"Who are they exactly?"
"This is just too evil!"
No wonder Zack is unwilling to bring up the past.
Such a cruel fact is indeed something few would willingly reopen.
Finally reunited with family, only to experience a massacre!
Vivian Sinclair felt sorrow for Zack, and much more so for him personally.
The two finished breakfast in a somber atmosphere, Julian Thorne headed directly to the company.
Vivian Sinclair set out for the sanatorium.
The previous night, she had received a text from Summer Dunn, saying the teacher had woken up.
Sanatorium.
By the time Vivian Sinclair arrived, Summer Dunn was already pacing in the garden.
"Vivian, something’s wrong!"
"My dad is missing!"
Vivian Sinclair: "What? What’s going on, Summer, tell me slowly."
As she spoke, Vivian Sinclair took out her phone, found her contacts, and immediately asked people for help.
Summer Dunn was almost in tears: "Just a moment ago, about ten minutes ago. Dad knew you were coming, he said he was going to prepare something and then asked me to come outside to meet you."
"But I remembered I hadn’t taken my phone, so I went back to get it."
"When I returned to the room, Dad was already gone."
"I’ve searched high and low around here and called him countless times, but Dad is utterly unreachable... it’s as if he’s vanished into thin air!"
Vivian Sinclair frowned deeply, only able to comfort Summer, "Don’t worry."
"He won’t just vanish into thin air."
"But don’t rush, the director has already mobilized the entire sanatorium staff to help search, and besides, there’s surveillance in the sanatorium. If the teacher left the room, there will be records."
The surveillance footage was quickly pulled up.
The results showed Tris left the room on his own.
Moreover, further investigation revealed Tris left the sanatorium and got into a taxi.
Vivian Sinclair and Summer Dunn exchanged bewildered glances.
Summer Dunn: "Dad knew you were coming, but instead, he ran away?"
Vivian Sinclair: "Judging from the footage, that’s what it looks like."
Summer Dunn was puzzled: "But, why?"
