After Breaking the Persona, I Reach the Peak of My Life-Chapter 943 - 929: Do You Think I’m Too Weak?
Bi Xia didn’t know who those people were, but she could tell they were coming for Hao Xisheng.
Watching Hao Xisheng run toward Katrina, Bi Xia pressed the brim of her hat down and turned to walk in Meng Chi’s direction.
She raised her hand to grab the attacker’s wrist, pulled down hard, snatched the steel whip from his hand without hesitation, and struck it directly against his arm. The sound of breaking and screams followed, and the man’s arm was bent at an odd angle. Bi Xia expressionlessly tossed the man aside and continued forward.
Meng Chi saw Bi Xia walking toward him, so he loosened up even more.
He kicked at another person’s abdomen, causing them to stagger backward, only to crash into someone else. Before he could turn to react, the person behind grabbed the man’s hair and punched him in the face, then kicked his abdomen again, letting him collapse to the ground.
Seeing more people pour in from the kitchen, Bi Xia’s starry eyes turned sharply cold. She turned and kicked the shop’s table toward the door, stopping it perfectly on the edge as people gasped. With tables and chairs piled up, she cleverly blocked the shop from the entrance, guaranteeing at least the others wouldn’t run outside and accidentally hurt outsiders.
But similarly, there were now only Bi Xia and Meng Chi left in the shop. With more newcomers, at least a dozen people carrying machetes and steel whips faced Meng Chi and Bi Xia.
With one foot on the bench beside her, her red sneakers stood out against the gray ground and the heavily vintage bench. The young man perched his arm on his knee that’s resting on the bench, fingers lightly playing with his pendant, lips coldly pursed.
Meng Chi leaned expressionlessly against the table behind him, arms crossed, watching the fierce-looking people ahead. He suddenly chuckled, turning his head to chat with Bi Xia, "Boss, if I hadn’t seen worse, I might’ve been scared."
Bi Xia let out a low chuckle, nonchalantly releasing her pendant, "Put on an act. If this small scene scares you, I wouldn’t have chosen you."
Meng Chi laughed loudly, "You really get me, Boss."
He raised his eyebrows, emotionlessly gazing at the people ahead, "Boss, should we make a move?"
"Oh?" Bi Xia tilted her head slightly, her starry eyes lifting with raised brows, the teardrop mole beneath her eye vivid. She adjusted the brim of her hat to the side, calmly standing up, lips curling with cold mischief, "Haven’t we already started?"
"Stop wasting words on them!" The person on the ground suddenly ordered, prompting the others to swarm toward Bi Xia and Meng Chi.
Given the shop’s confines, where hiding and moving space was limited, with more people on the opposing side, Bi Xia and Meng Chi were indeed at a disadvantage. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
Squinting her starry eyes, Bi Xia turned to Meng Chi and said, "Get on the table!"
Saying this, she ran forward, but not in a sprint; rather, using the momentum, she jumped up swiftly, grabbing two people by their collars, spinning mid-air, and when landing, directed her spiritual power to her arms. With a shout, she lifted, flipped, and threw the two she grabbed onto the ground.
Sidestepping the machete coming at her, her starry eyes flashed blue, seemingly freezing them. Bi Xia kicked at the person fiercely, sending him flying into the kitchen.
She flipped backward to evade the steel whip swinging toward her, then seized the opportunity to pick up the dropped whip, tossing it to Meng Chi, "Catch!"
Hearing the shout, Meng Chi turned toward Bi Xia almost automatically, raised his hand to catch the whip, dodged left, first kicking down someone attempting to climb up, then whipping a person on his right off the table.
Watching those almost locked in focus advancing on Meng Chi, her starry eyes beneath the hat brim turned cold. Quickly, she reached a person near the table, placed a hand on his shoulder, then leaped up with a push from her heel, flipping precisely onto the table using his directional force.
"Boss?"
Bi Xia’s lips curled into an evil smirk, "All coming for you, do they think I’m too weak?"
The opponent: ...No, it’s because you’re too strong...
