After Breaking the Persona, I Reach the Peak of My Life-Chapter 884 - 673: Quarrel
With a cold laugh, Bi Xia spoke calmly, "For them, the best way to shut them up is to use your own ability to show them just how blind they were in the past."
He raised his hand to push the door open, stepped inside, and as he walked into the courtyard with Meng Chi, they heard shouting and the sound of a cup being thrown to the floor from inside the house.
Men Chi raised an eyebrow slightly, "Have they started fighting?"
With a lazy chuckle, Bi Xia listened to the arguing voices of Wang Caiyun and Old Mrs. Bi coming from inside, "It’s just a dog-eat-dog situation."
"...Bi Xia?" a tentative voice called from behind, "Is that Bi Xia?"
Bi Xia turned around and saw a young woman in professional attire standing at the door, holding shopping bags and groceries, looking at him and Meng Chi with confusion.
Upon realizing it was indeed Bi Xia, the woman approached in surprise, "It really is A Xia!"
Bi Xia looked at the young woman, a hint of softness and complexity flashing through his starry eyes, and spoke softly, "Sister Jiaojiao."
Bi Jiao came over with a bright smile, placing the bags on the ground, "I almost didn’t recognize you. Ever since you took that stepmother away last time, I haven’t seen you. Back then, I thought I never imagined A Xia would change so much."
"Yeah, I grew up," Bi Xia smiled lightly, "If I didn’t grow up, my mom would have been bullied to death."
Hearing Bi Xia’s words, Bi Jiao’s face froze for a moment, then she sighed, looking at Bi Xia with a complex expression, and as the sound of arguing came from inside the house, she forced a smile at Bi Xia, "Yes... you now, to be honest, it’s really good."
"The stepmother suffered for half her life, cried for half her life, and being able to get rid of such relatives is really good."
Saying this, Bi Jiao smiled as if used to Old Mrs. Bi and the others arguing, and she picked up the bags again, looking at Meng Chi, "You’re A Xia’s friend, right," then looked at Bi Xia, "Come on, let me cook something delicious for you."
Bi Xia stopped Bi Jiao, "No need, Sister Jiaojiao, I’m not here to eat."
Bi Jiao looked at Bi Xia, "Then you are..." before she could finish her sentence, her face changed dramatically, and all the bags she was holding fell to the ground, "A Xia! I’m begging you! Don’t torment them anymore!"
Looking at Bi Jiao expressionlessly, Bi Xia heard her say, "I know they disappeared all these days because of you. A Wu is already delirious, mom and dad argue every day, and they even argue nonstop with grandma. This home is already in shambles, it can’t take any more torment!"
"Rest assured," Bi Xia said calmly, "I have no interest in tormenting them. I just learned something and came back to take back what belongs to my grandfather."
"Your grandfather’s things?" Bi Jiao looked at Bi Xia with confusion.
"Yeah," the starry eyes were indifferent and cold, "Bi Qingyun took my grandfather’s things and hid them here; I’m just making sure they return to where they belong now."
Before Bi Jiao could regain her composure, Bi Xia stepped toward the main hall, while Meng Chi glanced at Bi Jiao and quickly followed Bi Xia.
Pushing open the screen door, the quarreling people in the hall suddenly quieted down and looked toward the door.
When they saw who it was, Bi Wu, who had been sitting on the sofa in a daze, was the first to scream, then he hid in the corner, holding his head, babbling ’I was wrong’ over and over.
Bi Xia looked at Bi Wu coldly, then turned his gaze to Wang Caiyun and Old Mrs. Bi.
Wang Caiyun’s mouth gaped in shock as she pointed at Bi Xia, "You, you, you! What are you doing here?!"
"You ingrate!" Old Mrs. Bi leaned on her cane, her previously somewhat straight back now completely hunched over as she looked at Bi Xia with intense hatred, "How dare you show your face here?!"
Listening to Old Mrs. Bi’s words, Bi Xia snorted with laughter, "You’re mistaken. You should say... how dare you open the door to this house."
