After Beating the Game, I Became the Villain BOSS-Chapter 121 - 111: Moonlit Stroll
(Extra update today)
...
Dongdong was trying to persuade Su Mo, while the lady in the dress also went to persuade the man in the suit, saying nervously, "Forget it, forget it, the food at this place doesn't suit our taste. Let's go somewhere else."
The man in the suit was afraid of being stabbed and dared not provoke Su Mo further, so he took the lady in the dress and left.
Su Mo held Dongdong and sat down, then looked at those watching him and shouted loudly, "What are you looking at? Keep staring, and I'll randomly select one lucky passerby to pay for me!"
The people quickly withdrew their gaze, each eating their own meal, with no one making a sound.
Soon, the waiter distributed limited edition desserts to each table to calm the guests, arranging Su Mo and Dongdong into a more upscale private booth.
Inner City People and border folks were separated, and no one had to look at each other anymore, allowing the restaurant to slowly return to its original atmosphere, with piano music resuming.
In the booth, Su Mo looked at Dongdong with a smile and asked, "How did you end up arguing with that guy?"
Dongdong continued eating without raising her head, "Nothing much, they made fun of me, so I cursed back."
Su Mo rubbed his chin and deliberately chuckled mischievously, "Strange, I heard... you were cursing them on my behalf."
Dongdong blushed like a ripe apple, even her neck turned red, and she huffed angrily, "You're so annoying! Well, we share a table! When I curse on your behalf, I'm cursing for myself too... Humph..."
Su Mo laughed heartily and stopped teasing her, "Alright, alright, let's eat."
Dongdong was only 14 years old, at the stage of growing, and she fought on the streets every day, getting plenty of exercise, her appetite was huge.
Su Mo had three blood codes in his body, making his physique unlike others, and as a mercenary, who lived dangerously, his appetite was even more exaggerated than Dongdong's.
Besides, it was the first time for both of them visiting such a high-end restaurant.
For Dongdong, being able to eat till full was considered lucky.
Before Su Mo crossed over, he was a gaming geek, with meals costing around 20 yuan from takeout each time.
Although Black Pearl Restaurant's 8888 Moon Coins buffet was expensive, the price was truly justified, the culinary enjoyment could be described as top-notch.
Experiencing exquisite ingredients for the first time, the two ate like ravenous ghosts, devouring like wolves, plates of various foods one after another.
Halfway through, they even agreed to a competition to see who could eat more.
The result was, as soon as the waiter brought the dishes, the plates were empty, and later it took several robots serving food to barely keep up with their consumption speed.
The buffet limit was two hours, and the two ate intensely for over an hour, forcibly eating back the cost of the meal.
During the last half hour, the two were truly stuffed, the speed obviously slowed down, yet the competition continued. 𝓯𝙧𝙚𝒆𝙬𝙚𝒃𝙣𝙤𝒗𝓮𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢
Su Mo held his bloated belly, smiling forcefully, "Dong, you can't out-eat me, admit defeat."
Dongdong's mouth was stuffed with meat she couldn't swallow, forcing out an awkward smile, "Ha, this? I'm just finishing my appetizer, haven't even started yet."
Su Mo: "That's funny, what I've eaten barely counts as an appetizer, I can still eat a whole platter of roasted beef."
Dongdong: "That's funny, a whole platter is nothing remarkable, it's not even enough to fill the gap in my teeth, I can eat two platters."
Su Mo: "I can eat three platters!"
Dongdong: "I can eat four platters!"
Su Mo: "I can still eat a whole cow leg!"
Dongdong: "I can eat an entire roast cow!!!"
Su Mo: "Damn, get lost, you're just bragging. If you really eat that, I'll call you Mom!"
Dongdong swallowed a mouthful of meat with great difficulty, her lips twitching, forcing a smile, "This kind of contest is quite boring, why not call it a tie?"
Su Mo also smiled wryly, "I don't mind, if you want a tie, then a tie it is."
Dongdong: "What do you mean 'if I want', I don't, I'm just asking you."
Su Mo: "Ha ha, just to be clear, I agree to a tie because I'm worried you'll get sick from overeating."
Dongdong: "Ha ha, same here, I'm worried you'll eat yourself sick, and I'll have to handle your corpse."
Su Mo: "So, it's a tie?"
Dongdong: "A tie it is."
Both relaxed at the same time, slumped onto the table and chairs, clutching their round bellies and gasping for air.
Su Mo glanced at his phone, stretching lazily, "Time's almost up, we can get ready to leave."
Dongdong clearly uncomfortable from being full yet displayed an expression of longing, "Can we order a few more servings of meat to take away?"
Su Mo shook his head with a smile, "You're silly, this is a buffet, how could they let you take away food?"
Dongdong pouted and muttered, "This restaurant is so stingy..."
Su Mo paid, then led Dongdong out of the Black Pearl Restaurant.
He stood beside the busy street, patting his belly, saying, "I ate too much, feel stuffed, let's go for a walk at the nearby park."
"Sure," Dongdong nodded obediently.
The two strolled to the nearby "Meng Lake Wetland", a large forest park in New Moon City, with lush vegetation and various wild animals.
If it were evening, there would be many citizens enjoying the cool breeze here, but now it's quite late, and only Su Mo and Dongdong were wandering through the vast forest.
Thick branches swayed in the evening breeze, constantly making rustling sounds, moonlight streaming through the leaves, seemingly finely chopped like with scissors, forming mottled patterns on the grass, shimmering with silver light.
The two strolled to the lakeside, attracting several curious animals that peeked from afar, while some ventured closer, curiously inspecting the humans before them.
"Meow~" An adorable wildcat approached Dongdong, tail raised high, appearing to greet her.
"Meow, meow~" Dongdong squatted down joyfully, mimicking the cat's meows in a baby-like voice.
She scratched the wildcat's chin, taking out a piece of salmon from her pocket for it, "Here, little kitty, have something to eat."
Su Mo was briefly stunned, "Where did you get that salmon?"
Dongdong chuckled, "Took it from the dining table earlier."
Su Mo with a puzzled expression, "Why did you stash food in your pocket?"
Dongdong huffed, "Since the restaurant doesn't allow takeaway, I just packed it myself, planning to eat it slowly later. My pockets are still full, want a piece?"
Su Mo laughed and cried, "No thanks, I'm good."
The wildcat chewed on the salmon, its purring reminiscent of a small motor, enjoying tremendously.
Su Mo joked, "Such delicious fish, instead of keeping it for yourself, you feed it to the cat, you sure are generous."
Dongdong replied lazily, "We're all homeless creatures, struggling for our next meal, just to give a little care."
Su Mo couldn't help but smile, "You're actually quite kind-hearted."
Dongdong gave Su Mo a disdainful look, "Just because I fed a wildcat you think I'm kind, you're too naive, you'll be fooled easily someday."
"Meow." A deeper meow sounded.
Not far away, a larger wildcat approached, its coloring suggesting it might be the parent of the one beside Dongdong.
Dongdong resting her chin, said, "So you have a family. That's nice, I don't have any family."
Su Mo blinked, "Your family is?... "
"Dead," Dongdong's gaze was very calm, "I killed them."
