After Beating the Game, I Became the Villain BOSS-Chapter 116 - 108: Little Tsundere Monster (Part 2)
Su Mo laughed heartily, "You really chased me here? Not bad, almost got hit by you just now."
Dongdong shouted fiercely in a cute way, "Su, the other day I was injured, but now I'm healed, just watch me beat you into a pulp!"
With that, she let out a "ya" and charged forward waving a baseball bat.
Su Mo dodged easily and flicked her forehead, sending her flying away.
Dongdong's small body hit the ground, her forehead swollen from the flick.
Su Mo joked, "Hmm, as expected of someone who's healed. Your ability to use your forehead against my finger is deeper than last time. Have you mastered the Iron Head Skill?"
Dongdong was quite angry, seeing the mall security guards approaching, she didn't force it, grabbing the bat and escaping while cursing: "Like to laugh, huh? Just you wait! You'll be crying soon!"
Su Mo shouted at Dongdong's retreating figure, "Hey, what's your favorite color?"
Dongdong paused, retorted, "What's it to you! Are you crazy asking this..."
She climbed out the window, escaping in embarrassment.
Su Mo laughed heartily and continued to stroll the market, helping pick out furniture for Dongdong.
That evening, Su Mo didn't go home.
He didn't want to reveal where he lived.
Otherwise, if Dongdong caused trouble for KK and Future, and then wrecked his house, that wouldn't be good.
Su Mo stayed at a hotel for the night.
The next morning, he went down to the convenience store to buy breakfast.
Just as he entered, he saw several food wrappers scattered on the ground.
He couldn't help but shake his head; the employees here were really lazy, not even cleaning up the trash on the floor.
He grabbed a piece of toast and a bottle of milk, walked to the checkout counter, and showed the cashier his wrist chip.
"Woo woo—" Suddenly, Su Mo heard a strange noise coming from behind the checkout counter.
He looked up and was met with a baseball bat.
He quickly stepped back, the bat hitting the counter with a "dong," knocking off the gum and other items.
"Damn, missed again!" Dongdong, disguised as the cashier, pulled off her hat, stomping her foot in frustration.
Behind the counter, the real cashier, stripped of his uniform and tied in a corner, was making frightened muffled sounds.
Su Mo said in surprise, "You're really something, tying up a person like that. Aren't you afraid of the Sheriff catching and locking you up?"
Dongdong said nonchalantly, "Whatever, I'm still young, they can't keep me locked up for long anyway."
Su Mo: "...6."
"6 what 6, take this!" Dongdong jumped out from the counter, swinging the bat towards Su Mo.
The space in the convenience store was small, and Dongdong's moves were wide and hard to avoid, forcing Su Mo to engage.
Su Mo crossed his arms, blocking the bat coming down at him, reflexively kicking towards Dongdong.
"Dong!"
Dongdong's small body was kicked away, crashing into a shelf, landing among snacks scattered all over the floor.
Su Mo's heart skipped a beat, quickly asking, "Hey, are you okay?"
To tame someone like Dongdong who's a stubborn tsundere, there needs to be a balance.
You can't not fight.
After all, she's a street thug. If you act too cowardly, she'll look down on you, and be domineering.
You also can't overdo it.
If you hit her too hard, she'll truly bear a grudge against you.
This balance, to use enough strength for her to acknowledge, but not so much for her to resent, is quite tricky to achieve.
Fortunately, Dongdong grew up on the streets, used to beatings, so Su Mo's kick wasn't much to her.
Replace her with an ordinary girl, that kick would have been a deal-breaker.
Dongdong held herself up, realizing today she couldn't beat Su Mo.
She grabbed a fallen chocolate snack, watching Su Mo warily while tearing open the packet and stuffing it into her mouth.
Because she ate so eagerly, the chocolate smudged her mouth, making her look like a little greedy cat.
Su Mo finally realized where those wrappers at the entrance came from.
Dongdong gobbled down the chocolate, mumbling, "Just you wait," grabbed her bat, and bolted.
"Hey." Su Mo called out to her, pointing at the snacks all over the place, smiling: "If you like eating, take more. It's on me."
Dongdong paused, looking at Su Mo, utterly confused, thinking this must be a trick.
She didn't dare come close, just watched him warily.
Seeing Su Mo not making a move, Dongdong picked up some candies nearby to stuff into her pocket, hid a bag of chips under her jacket, picked up a drumstick on the grill with her teeth, and took a bottle of milk before quickly leaving.
Seeing this, Su Mo laughed helplessly, "What a little brat."
He stepped behind the counter to untie the cashier, removing the plastic bag from his mouth.
The cashier, panicked, said, "Quick, call the police! Don't let her escape!"
Su Mo calmly reassured, "Bro, let it go, that's just my friend, kidding around with me. I'll compensate for any losses here, just don't report it, and delete the surveillance footage too."
The cashier, upset, said firmly, "How can I let it go? You don't understand, she knocked me out as soon as she came in. Even my mom never hit me! How can a grown man endure being undressed by a little girl? We must catch this miscreant!"
Su Mo opened his wallet, took out seven or eight 1000-yuan bills, and stuffed them into the cashier's hands.
The cashier's attitude made a 180-degree turn: "Miscreant? What miscreant? These were all knocked over by accident. Don't worry, bro, I'll definitely not report it. I'll delete the surveillance right now!"
He got up, grabbed the mouse, and deleted all of the day's surveillance footage cleanly.
Su Mo gave him a thumbs-up as he left.
The cashier waved goodbye with a sunny smile, "Take care, bro! Come by often!"
...
Dongdong's sneak attacks were unpredictable, nearly hitting Su Mo twice, so he had to stay alert.
Otherwise, it would be really funny if he got clubbed out of nowhere.
Strangely, for the next two days, Dongdong didn't show up again.
Su Mo felt a bit uneasy.
Had Dongdong given up?
If she really stopped chasing, New Moon City is so big, he wouldn't know where to find her.
Su Mo worriedly finished his hot dog, walked toward a nearby trash can to throw away the wrapper.
"Whoosh—" Without warning, the lid popped open.
Dongdong leaped out, swinging her bat at Su Mo: "Take this!!!"
Su Mo was so startled he choked, narrowly avoiding the swing, patting his chest for a long time to swallow the food.
He gazed at the dirty Dongdong in surprise: "You're like a ghost, showing up everywhere."
Dongdong swung the bat in the air, looking proud: "I observed your route, found that you always eat around here. I hid in the trash can all day, finally caught you."
Su Mo was left speechless.
He truly was naive, he seriously thought Dongdong would give up.
This was someone who would come at the final boss battle just to give a cheap shot, a vengeful ghost indeed.
Dongdong looked at Su Mo, sweat all over his face, and smiled mischievously: "Hehe, can't take it anymore? Useless little fish~"
"You're getting worse at defending against my sneak attacks. Now do you see the might of the great Dong? Regret it? Collapsed yet? Too late! Here I come!"
She charged at Su Mo.
Halfway through, she accidentally stepped on a banana peel fallen from the trash can, sliding uncontrollably.
"Dong!"
She hit her head on the ground and passed out.
Su Mo stood there, bewildered by the winds.
He snapped back, rushing over: "Hey! Hey hey hey! You fell yourself, I didn't hit you!"
Dongdong lay there with closed eyes, truly knocked out, thankfully not injured, just temporarily unconscious.
Looking at the dirty Dongdong, Su Mo found it somewhat amusing.
She's really like in games, holding grudges, never admitting defeat after setbacks, always wanting to regain her pride.
At first glance, it seemed like a child's tantrum, but just throwing a fit wouldn't make someone hide in a trash can all day for a sneak attack.
Besides her exceptional talent, this strong resilience, always fighting back after a defeat, is Dongdong's shining trait.
Su Mo gently patted her head, "Dong, finish your fuss, and come be my partner. I could really use a hand right now."
