Chapter 1885: Attempting To Escape?

The Dragons did not have a plan, and there was no point in trying to come up with one or even surprising the Necromancers, knowing their presence had been discovered by them a few hours ago. The reason they moved this slowly was to purposely see how the Necromancers as well as those in the Toad Clan would react to their sudden appearance in the Toad Clan territory. Grey mentioned the possibility of the Toad Clan aiding Necromancers, and the only way to confirm this is by seeing the actions of both parties. The reaction of the Toads as well as the Necromancers will determine the next course of action for Sir Astarot’s party.

Grey did not ask any more questions, only leading the forward while keeping track of what was happening between the Necromancers. With the Bunny Leader sending out scouts, he was up to date with whatever is happening with the Necromancers. He knew the people the Necromancers were reporting to were in a secret room at the hideout.

A few minutes later.

Grey and the Dragons arrived at an empty looking Manor. From the looks of things, the Manor looked like it had been deserted for hundreds of years. If anyone came here without prior knowledge, they would genuinely think no one was around.

“Where?” The Silver Dragon looked at another Dragon.

Before the Dragon could speak, Grey pointed straight at a building and a light beam shot out from his hand.

Boom!

An explosion rang out, but the outcome was not what they expected.

Instead of the building to crumble under Grey’s attack, another light beam shot out from the building just as Grey’s attack was about to hit, stopping it in its tracks.

Grey moved to the side, not taking any further action.

He did not need to as the Necromancers swamped out of the building Grey just attacked. The sight of the Gnome leading them took Grey by surprise.

“Oh, there’s a Gnome here too. A Peak Gnome.” He muttered, but he did not worry the Dragons would not be able to deal with them. Counting the Peak Sovereigns present, he confirmed the Dragons’ intel was accurate, just that instead of four Necromancers at the Peak, there were three Necromancers and one Gnome.

The Gnome turned his curious gaze over to Grey, not sparing the Dragons a glance. It was not that it did not put the Dragons in his eyes, but he just felt that Grey looked familiar. Not only did Grey look familiar, he was also the one who was able to pinpoint their accurate location, which meant that he could sense them, or at least they could not hide from him. What he was more surprised about is Grey’s age and current cultivation stage. Grey did not look to be very old, and he was already a Seventh stage Sovereign. If his guess is accurate, Grey should also be the one with the powerful blood essence. All it took was a quick inquiring glance at the Necromancer dressed in black to confirm his guess.

‘A human with such potential and friends with Dragons. How come we don’t have any information on anyone like that?’

The Gnome could not take his curious eyes away from Grey. He was not only concerned about Grey’s prowess, but also why he looked so familiar.

The Gnome wanted to speak, but it saw one of the Dragons opening its opening with the intent to attack.

“Bold!” With a snort, a Puppet appeared, giving off the aura of a Peak Sovereign. Spreading out its hands, a thin veil appeared, covering the area just as the Dragon’s fire breath was unleashed.

Grey, who was standing by the side could not help but appreciate the hotness of a Dragon’s fire. His main attack element was his fire element, but his flames is nowhere as hot as the one this Dragon casually unleashed.

The Dragon stopped a few seconds later as it saw that the Puppet summoned by the Gnome was able to deal with it. Roaring, it opened its mouth again.

The Necromancers standing behind the Gnome did not show any fear, after all, the Gnome’s Puppet was able to deal with the attack just now. However, their expressions turned ugly when they saw not just one, but all seven Dragons opening their mouths.

The eyes of the Gnome twitched repeatedly at the sight of this, and without hesitation, he opened his mouth and spat out a reddish drop of liquid. As soon as this liquid appeared, he roared and pushed his arms forward, merging the red liquid with the thin veil protecting them.

At the same time the Gnome finished reinforcing his defenses, the attack of all seven Dragons landed on the veil a the same time.

The veil shook but did not fall apart, scaring the Necromancers inside. The Necromancers did not have the time to rejoice as they heard the sound of the veil cracking.

“Stop them. Buy me a minute.” The Gnome knew there was no point fighting a drawn out battle with the Dragons, so he wanted to finish it as soon as possible.

The Necromancers gritted their teeth before the one dressed in black yelled out, “Use the formation!” freēnovelkiss.com

The weaker Necromancers felt relieved after hearing this and immediately got to work. They could tell that this veil would not be able to last for ten more seconds, and once it breaks down, they will have to face the full brunt attack of seven strong Dragons, five being Peak existences.

They hurriedly got into formation and a large transparent sphere rose from the ground, covering all hundred plus Necromancers. The veil set by the Gnome fell apart at the same time their sphere came up.

The Dragons did not stop their attack, continuously sending flames in the direction of the Necromancers.

Grey did not attack, his attention was placed on the Gnome who left as soon as he noticed he could not stop the Dragons.

‘Is he escaping?’
