Lord Everard did not show any signs of panic even after confirming from Godric that only the Eighth stage Sovereign captured by Grey can deal with his strange movement technique. For someone on his level, he did not believe there was no way four Ninth stage Sovereigns and about five Eighth stage Sovereigns can not deal with a single Seventh stage Sovereign. No matter how heaven-defying Grey's abilities were, he was not invincible.

Although Grey's act of apprehending the Eighth stage Sovereign since he counters his technique was amazing, it showed Lord Everard something, and that was that Grey is not untouchable as he or Godric is making it out to be.

'Since he can deal with his strange movement ability, I don't believe none of us here will not be able to stop him.'

Lord Everard was a Ninth stage Sovereign who has been in this stage for hundreds of years, this was the first time in his life that he was actually apprehensive of an opponent who is two stages lower than himself. Thinking about it, he gave Godric a cold stare.

The only reason he became this wary even after not making a move was because of Godric's warning. Yes, Grey was able to easily capture the Eighth stage Sovereign, but that was all because none of them expected Grey to make a move. If they had been prepared, Grey would not have been able to get that close.

"This is the last time I'll say this, let him go and you'll die with a complete corpse." Lord Everard nodded to the others from the Twilight Faction as they spread out, clearly planning to block Grey's escape path.

Grey was still firmly holding the Eighth stage Sovereign, seeing all of them spread out, his eyes turned cold. The truth is, yes, these people will most likely find it hard to contain his space element, but it wasn't impossible to interfere with the surrounding space. Fighting against three Ninth stage Sovereigns the last time took a lot from him and he knew right there and then that if he was in a life and death battle with the trio, he would eventually have to escape. Killing all three isn't something he was confident in, and even if he succeeds, he will be incapacitated for a long period of time.

Cursing internally, he looked at Lord Everard and asked, "You truly are set to make things difficult for me, aren't you?"

"I don't believe even a Peak Sovereign will be able to win against four Ninth stage Sovereigns." Lord Everard chuckled before now, "Doing this might seem like we're bullying you, but your movement technique didn't give us a choice."

"There's no point in trying to justify your actions. If you're so confident in yourself, fight me one on one." Grey sneered. If he could get Lord Everard to fight him one on one, he was confident he could come out on top.

"You're too childish." Lord Everard shook his head, he looked at Godric and asked, "What are you waiting for? Kill him!"

"Stephen is still in his hands." Godric frowned. He also wanted to kill Grey, but he could not act carelessly else he might lose his companion.

Lord Everard frowned too, but knowing that Grey will not let go of the Eighth stage Sovereign known as Stephen, he snorted and made a move. He had already tried talking with Grey, but from the looks of it, there was no point in continuing that.

Grey reacted quickly, hastily blocking Lord Everard's attack, while also distancing himself and dragging along Stephen.

Lord Everard raised a brow, not expecting Grey to be able to block a strike from him with this much ease. To make sure he could force Grey away from Stephen, he even used eighty percent of his strength. From the looks of things, he could tell that if he didn't go all out, then he would not get his desired result.

On the other side, Grey looked at Stephen and said, "As you can see, your people want you dead. The next attack will end your life."

Stephen's expression was gloomy. Never did he think that the young man they were chasing sometime ago would have his life and death in his hands. He could not even speak a word.

"Godric, are you going to allow a little kid to lead us on?" Lord Everard asked with a cold expression, "If you are not going to make a move step to the side." ƒrēenovelkiss.com

Godric showed a conflicted expression, he could sense the energy in Grey's hand, knowing full well that a little more effort and Grey will be able to snap Stephen's neck.

"Let him go kid, and we will be willing to have a discussion with you." Godric did not want to give up on his companion.

Lord Everard took a step forward, pointing his finger at Grey, the energy around the place started to gather at his fingertip. He did not plan to hold back any more, since Grey was willing to go against the Twilight Faction, then death was his only outcome.

Seeing Lord Everard prepare to attack, Grey's eyes turned cold and his free hand also started to gather essence. The second Lord Everard's attack left his hand, Grey slammed his free palm at Stephen's stomach, a clear cracking sound rang out as Stephen's figure flew out from the impact of Grey's palm.

After tossing Stephen away, Grey's figure flickered as he disappeared from where he was originally standing, evading Lord Everard's attack in the process.

Bang!

Multiple buildings behind where Grey was initially standing were turned to rubbles from just this attack.

"Vile thing!" Godric roared and attacked. He saw Grey attacking Stephen and according to what Grey said, Stephen is most likely dead. Since Stephen was dead, there is no point holding back any more.

The entire City was quickly thrown into chaos. Everyone involved in this fight were in the Late stages of the Sovereign Plane, and even though this was a City a few square kilometers in size, if the battle continued to escalate, there would not be much left of this City when they were done.
