Chapter 1522  Put Through Unimaginable Pain

Klaus and Kyle watched in disbelief as the man was put through a painful experience, his screams sent chills down their spines. What was worse was that they didn't see Grey doing anything to him physically, but they knew whatever Grey has done to the man's body is worse than any physical injuries.

The man was literally shaking from just being tapped on his shoulder.

"How's he able to do that?" Kyle asked while gulping down his saliva in fear.

"I have no idea, but I think it has a lot to do with nerves. He has shown me a thing or two. But I don't think he showed me this." Klaus explained.

Grey taught him how to disable the nerve that makes people feel. This is something that could be very beneficial for him since he could use it on himself during grueling battles. It was what he also used when the assassins entered the place. They didn't know when he disabled their nerves used for feeling, so even when they were frozen, they didn't feel the chilling cold seep into their bodies.

Klaus looked on as Grey formed water droplets and just let them start falling on the man like it was raining. He couldn't help but wonder, Grey wasn't using any serious attacks, yet the man was in so much pain, what would happen if Grey uses a powerful attack?

The man went through the pain for minutes, enduring it and refusing to speak. Minutes soon started to turn into an hour. The man was sweating profusely and had actually lost his voice once due to the pain, but Grey miraculously brought it back. The man passed out, he was woken by the pain he felt the next second.

Kyle has never seen or heard of this type of torture, and Grey was making it look so simple. There were no physical injuries, yet the man seemed to age in the space of one hour. His previous rosy complexion and chubby figure started to slim down. The eyes of the man had completely changed. Looking at them, one could tell that he was tormented by trauma. This torture method was making it look like the man has been going through the worst experience since he was a child.

Grey wasn't even concerned about the man, while he was screaming at the top of his lungs, crying even, Grey was observing the array. He was trying to see if he could get a way to crack it without alerting anyone. He didn't know what this array was used for, but for some reason, he believed it might be a portal to the Gnome world. The reason for this belief was simple, why would the Gnome race's array be here if it wasn't for that. And looking at the location, this was a very strategic position.

After over one hour, Grey stood up and walked to the man who was crying, he couldn't speak, and his sobs were the only things left.

"Willing to talk now?" Grey raised a palm and the never ending rain stopped.

"I… Ahhh!"

The man was about to speak when Grey directly cut off one of his hands. The pain sent the man straight into shock, but just as he thought he could finally escape into the afterlife, he was brought back from the jaws of death.

"Are you willing to talk?" Grey asked once again, with the same nonchalant expression.

The man hurriedly nodded this time around.

"Good, speak."

"The only method to access the array is…"

The man went on to describe how the array works and how it could be used. And it was just as Grey presumed, it was a portal to the Gnome world. Generally, the Gnomes use it to come into the human world and leave whenever they like.

"Do you know the location of any other array like this?" Grey asked.

The man shook his head, "We're only allowed to know just the one left to us. If I die, they will know and destroy the portal so it can't be used."

"Oh, good thing you didn't die." Grey didn't expect this information, luckily, he made sure he kept the man alive, although under serious pains, but he was alive.

"Do you know where this portal leads to? Also, is there anyone on the other side of it?" Grey asked.

The man shook his head, "I am not allowed to have such information, I just know it's close to the Gnome World's Capital City. Actually, most portals are close to the Gnome World's Capital City."

Grey and Klaus exchanged glances, a glint flashed through their eyes. They wanted to sneak into the Gnome world, they needed a portal to do so, and who would've thought that a journey with Kyle would actually make this happen.

Grey had always thought it would be difficult to get a portal, and was just thinking of ways to get the Seventh Prince to create a special one, but what's the use of doing that now when he could use this one.

With that thought in mind, he looked at the man and said, "Open it."

The man did as instructed, and Grey watched him through the entire process, while also keeping an eye on the array. He needed to know he could do it on his own the next time. There was also the issue of the man's death. He couldn't kill him, so he wanted to put him under his control and keep him hidden somewhere he couldn't escape.

The shelf moved and they saw a brick wall. Grey was about to speak when he noticed the array hadn't been fully opened. After some time, an opening came up, and they saw stairs leading down.

"So the array leads to the portal." Grey murmured to himself.

From the start, he originally thought the array was directly connected to the portal, only now did he understand the array was to hide the existence of the portal which was underneath this place.
