Addicted to My Cutie and Sweetie-Chapter 908: Maybe We’ll Succeed, Maybe We’ll Fail
The car finally stopped at the entrance of the kindergarten where Ruirui and Yaoyao attend school.
Ji Weitian watched Qin Nanyu unbuckle his seatbelt, open the door, and get out of the car. She was a bit dazed, her hands still tightly gripping the seatbelt, "It’s still morning, the kindergarten is a day-care, it’s not time for school to end yet."
Qin Nanyu didn’t answer her, he just walked around to the passenger door, opened it for her, and helped her out of the car.
This kindergarten always has parental observation classes, so the sudden visit from Qin Nanyu and Ji Weitian wouldn’t cause any disruption.
The teacher led them inside while explaining the function of the various facilities in the kindergarten, as well as the children’s routine in class and during playtime.
Qin Nanyu and Ji Weitian listened very attentively.
"It’s almost break time. Would you like to visit your children’s classroom and say hello?" The teacher looked at his watch and asked politely.
Ji Weitian was just about to agree when Qin Nanyu already declined.
Hearing his refusal, Ji Weitian turned her head to look at him in confusion, not understanding.
Did he bring her to the kindergarten not to see Ruirui and Yaoyao?
The teacher had other matters to attend to and pointed Qin Nanyu and Ji Weitian in the direction of Ruirui and Yaoyao’s classroom before leaving.
Qin Nanyu didn’t rush to explain but instead took Ji Weitian to the kindergarten’s activity area, found a somewhat inconspicuous corner, and let her sit down, holding her as they watched the children burst out of the classrooms to play during break time.
The children in kindergarten are still very young.
Maintaining discipline during class time is already tough, let alone during break time.
The youngest batch, missing their parents, huddled together crying.
The slightly older ones, or those who adapted a bit better, began to make friends, gathering in small groups to play on slides and build sandcastles.
There were quite a few teachers guiding the children in the activity area.
Occasionally, there were some who cried and were comforted to the side.
The scene was lively and a bit chaotic but full of childhood innocence, completely different from the adult world.
Watching, one might slowly forget their worries...
Ji Weitian kept her eyes on a little girl about three years old throughout, watching her stubbornly try to climb the slide by her own strength, almost falling down several times, her eyes welling up with tears of frustration.
Her heart was in her throat, and if she didn’t see that there were teachers around looking after her, she might have rushed to help.
Until the little girl finally climbed up the slide successfully and slid down, joyfully hugging the teacher who was taking care of her, giggling non-stop.
The sound of laughter, like a copper bell, seemed infectious.
From afar, Ji Weitian couldn’t help but also curl up her lips into a smile.
She suddenly became aware of a burning gaze beside her and snapped back to reality, turning to look at Qin Nanyu.
Qin Nanyu reached out and embraced her, softly saying, "Have you noticed that what we’re doing is very similar to these children?"
Ji Weitian’s body, leaning against his chest, jolted, blinking in puzzlement.
Qin Nanyu: "We’re all exploring an unknown world. We might succeed, or we might fail."
But if you don’t try, you’ll never know the answer.
Ji Weitian: "What if we try and still fail in the end?"
Qin Nanyu’s gaze softened, lowering his eyes and looking at her intently, word by word: "As long as you dare to try, it’s growth. What’s more important is that life leaves no regrets."
