Accidenttal One Night Stand with My Aloof Uncle-Chapter 513: They Are All Master Actors 3
"Remember, you promised me." Chloe Grant looked at Matthew Morgan very seriously.
If he continues to treat himself like Iron Man, she’s going to fall out with him!
Matthew Morgan turned back, reached out, and ruffled her hair, responding softly, "Yeah."
Chloe Grant immediately beamed with joy and childishly extended her hand, "Pinky swear! You promised me, no take-backs!"
Ralph Koch watched from the back seat, looking very disdainful.
What kind of person is Matthew Morgan to be playing such a childish game with her?
"I say..."
Just as Ralph Koch was about to sarcastically comment, Matthew Morgan had already reached out and hooked pinkies with Chloe Grant.
Ralph Koch: "..."
He looked as if he’d seen a ghost, stiffly turning his head to look at Matthew Morgan.
After a long pause, Ralph Koch finally reacted and scooted forward, "Let me join too!"
He eagerly extended his pinky.
Matthew Morgan and Chloe Grant glanced at him, then simultaneously looked away.
"I’m going to work first; I’ll head back on my own tonight."
Just as Chloe Grant was about to leave, Matthew Morgan grabbed her hand.
"What’s up?" Chloe Grant asked, puzzled.
"Take the car back." Matthew Morgan replied, then had Chloe Grant sit properly as he drove the car to the underground garage.
Up until Matthew Morgan saw Chloe Grant off the car, neither of them paid any attention to Ralph Koch in the back seat.
It wasn’t until Matthew Morgan put Chloe Grant in the elevator that he seemed to remember someone was still in the back seat.
Matthew Morgan walked towards Ralph Koch.
As Matthew Morgan approached, Ralph Koch was so moved he nearly cried. Finally, he remembered!
Matthew Morgan stopped at the door and casually kicked the car door, "Get out."
Ralph Koch: "..."
...
"Chloe, I just saw your boyfriend." Chloe Grant had just returned to her workplace when Molly Polis gossipingly approached.
Chloe was slightly surprised, "Saw my boyfriend?"
Molly Polis nodded, "Didn’t he just drive a Dongfeng to pick you up for lunch?"
Chloe Grant paused, only then realizing that Molly was talking about Matthew Morgan who had just picked her up.
She responded candidly, "Yep, he’s my boyfriend."
"Your boyfriend drives a Dongfeng? Isn’t that worth less than a hundred thousand?"
A colleague sitting next to Chloe Grant leaned in, sounding a bit disdainful when mentioning the Dongfeng.
"I thought someone always picked you up in a luxury car, but turns out your actual boyfriend drives a Dongfeng?"
Another colleague expressed the same disdain.
"Chloe, when did you start dating a boyfriend? A Dongfeng guy? If you’re really struggling to meet someone decent, tell me, I’ll have someone introduce you."
Mocking and disdain came as no surprise with Lily Grant around.
Chloe Grant blinked several times, unsure how to respond to everyone’s mockery and disdain.
After a moment, she just smiled, "I love him for who he is. I don’t care what status he holds or what car he drives. What matters is how he treats me."
"Oh, sister, you’re too naive!" An older colleague expressed disagreement and dissatisfaction with Chloe Grant’s statement.
She spoke with the air of someone more experienced, "Sister, let me be honest with you, true love is out of fashion these days. You won’t cry in a BMW, but you’ll know what tears truly are when you’re on a bicycle.
Poor couples have woes in everything, sister. Don’t say I, as an older sister, didn’t warn you, a woman’s life shouldn’t be too hard. If you don’t listen to your elders, you’ll suffer your entire life."
