Accidentally Reincarnated in Cultivation World-Chapter 366: Cornered…?
Curious and perhaps a little reckless Yu Lingluo decided to try something new.
With a thought, the two bangles on her wrists slid free, floating into the air.
They spun once before rapidly expanding.
Space warped for her size, it was like watching a miniature universe being folded open.
The bangles aligned, forming something eerily similar to a wormhole, its interior shimmering with the aura of Primordial Chaos and Runes far beyond her comprehension.
She calmly channeled her Qi into the floating bangles.
"Oh."
At that exact moment.
High above the Main Chaos Heaven Peak, the sky twisted violently.
Space folded in on itself as a gate manifested out of nowhere, radiating chaotic fluctuations.
In an instant, countless gazes snapped upward.
"What’s that?!"
"OMH! there’s a gate here?!"
"Did the sect’s grand formations get breached?!"
Even numerous ancient figures stirred, their senses sweeping toward the anomaly.
After all, due to the Heaven Immortal Sect’s strict arrangements, gates were only supposed to appear above the True Central Area.
Yet here it was.
And then.
From the heart of the gate, a familiar figure stepped out.
Yu Lingluo.
For a brief moment, the world seemed to freeze.
"Isn’t that the Peak Master’s disciple?!"
"She! she crossed over directly?!"
"Heavens... did she hijack the gate?!"
"So domineering!"
Shock, disbelief, and awe rippled through the observers.
To them, this was nothing short of an outrageous declaration of authority, an act that suggested absolute confidence, backing, and power.
Yu Lingluo, however, remained completely oblivious to the storm she had just caused.
She took a few steps forward, glanced around, then casually stepped back into the gate.
The gate vanished.
And silence followed.
A heartbeat later, Yu Lingluo reappeared in the same secluded area she had left, perfectly unharmed.
She looked down at her bangles, eyes shining with interest.
"...This is quite great," she muttered.
These bangles could transfer her instantly to any location she had previously visited.
And that was only the beginning.
Behind Yu Lingluo, beyond the purple river she had just emerged from, lay a small sealed realm, one overflowing with Chaos Energy so dense it distorted perception itself, and one was only able to see purple mist in here.
Within that realm, a middle-aged silhouette threw his head back and laughed, the sound half hysterical, half indignant.
"HAHAHAHAHA—! I, Gentle Chaos, have low talent compared to that girl?! HAHAHA!"
The laughter echoed endlessly through the realm, shaking the chaotic mist.
Not only was Lingluo associated with that thief, she herself was an anomaly.
"Hah ho! anyways!" he snorted, slapping his face.
"I, Gentle Chaos, have finally fulfilled my promise to that old hag! Now I am FREE to wander the sect grounds!"
The realm trembled.
All the Chaos Energy surged inward, compressing violently into the silhouette.
And then, with a pop, the figure transformed.
Where once stood a man, there was now a hedgehog.
A fluffy, round hedgehog.
Except every single spike on that fluff was forged from pure, hyper-condensed Chaos Energy, the kind that would make Immortals slaughter entire star systems just to refine one.
Gentle Chaos bounced out from behind the purple river, landing on the sect grounds with barely contained excitement.
"Hahaha! At last, I shall find the final clue to my #%@$@~#$%&#%@ and become the FIRST in the Current Era!"
Several of the words he shouted were immediately censored by the Heavens themselves, erased mid-sound for being far too inappropriate for those who were unqualified currently.
But before he could celebrate further.
Two hands grabbed him.
"EKUUU—!"
A very undignified noise escaped his mouth as he twisted around in panic.
"You! Let go of me!"
Yu Lingluo blinked, holding the hedgehog up at eye level.
"...A spiritual beast," she said thoughtfully.
"By the way, your voice sounds kind of familiar."
"Are you bullying me because I, Gentle Chaos, cannot use my powers right now?!" the hedgehog snapped, his spikes bristling angrily.
Under normal circumstances, merely touching him would have been impossible, even Immortals would be shredded instantly.
Yet.
Yu Lingluo held him just fine.
In fact, the Chaos spikes seemed almost... happy touching her.
"...Damn it," Gentle Chaos hissed.
Between being the disciple of that old hag and possessing an absurdly terrifying bloodline, this girl was trouble layered on top of disaster.
Considering the whole #%@$@~#$%&#%@ situation, he decided restraint was the better option for now.
"Are ancient powerhouses supposed to look like this?" Lingluo asked curiously.
"Do you hate looking middle-aged? I can suggest some–"
"SHUT UP, BRAT!" Gentle Chaos roared.
"For now, we’re traveling together!"
Currently there was no better guide through the Heaven Immortal Sect than her.
Lingluo’s shoulders drooped slightly.
She felt the same pressure she always felt from her master.
Ancient beings really did love yelling at juniors.
"...Alright," she sighed.
"Then let me summon you a companion to pass the time."
A crest lit up on her wrist.
And with a small flourish.
"Tririri, come out!"
A purple slime popped into existence and wobbled once before settling comfortably on Lingluo’s head.
"Prukk~"
The slime turned, cheerfully eyeing the hedgehog.
"Prukk~ I am Tririri."
Gentle Chaos froze.
Completely.
...Why.
Why was THIS MONSTER here?!
***
Ming Tianmei was facing the most dangerous situation of her entire life.
Not an ancient demon.
Not a heavenly calamity.
Not even the collapse of fate itself.
Even though she knew she was supposed to have experience, knew she had lived through this world once already, everything felt frighteningly new.
Why did it feel like this was her first time?
"I really need to know," Yu Xuan whispered near her ear.
They were inside a temporary room.
Somewhere along the way, she had been backed into the corner, literally.
Yu Xuan had one arm braced against the wall beside her head, the other holding her wrists gently but firmly above her head, pinning her in place without hurting her.
His presence was close.
Too close.
"Know... no, yes? know what, exactly?!" Ming Tianmei blurted out, her words tumbling over each other as her composure cracked.
Her heart was pounding so loudly she was sure he could hear it.
"Yes," Yu Xuan said quietly, his voice low and steady,
"I need to know the difference, whether what I saw... was real, or not."
His gaze wasn’t heated or frivolous.
It was sharp and serious.
That made it worse.
Ming Tianmei’s thoughts spiraled into chaos.
This wasn’t how it happened before.
In the previous run, this moment came much later.
Much, much later. After time had softened the edges between them.
Not now.
This was too early.
Too fast.
Too inappropriate.
Her mind short-circuited.
’Didn’t he say before that he wasn’t even eighteen yet? Was that a lie then?’
Her eyes grew unfocused, dazed by conflicting memories, emotions, and the sheer pressure of the moment.
