Abby had just finished her breakfast when a knock came in. Recently, she’s been feeling a similar itch on her good legs, at the same spot the last itch was, and she was scared.
It couldn’t be that the illness was back right? What would she do? She couldn’t cut off her other legs, she might as well just die.
The doctors should kill her rather than shame her forever. She couldn’t stay indoors for the rest of her life. Abby was still on her thoughts, when another knock was heard.
She wondered who would come look for them. They had no friends since they lost all of their money and status. How people turn easily against one, when they have nothing to gain was quite funny.
She was shocked that in all her years of being so wealthy, she had never had a true friend.
"Gregory, there’s someone at the door," Abby called out.
"Is it Chris?" He asked.
"It couldn’t be Chris, I told him to never come back until I ask him to. He’s safer in that city." Abby said with a frown. She had no idea why her husband was this dumb.
"Then who could it be. Are you expecting someone?"
"I’m not," Abby said. Who could she even expect? She had no one visiting, not even her family members.
Gregory went ahead to check who it was and his eyes turned wide. He froze by the door, body trembling slightly at the sight of the huge men by the door.
"Hey, mister Peterson." The huge men have made way for the small man at the center to show.
"Hello, I’m Polar. Where is your wife, I’m here to collect my money." Greg could feel his heart beating so hard. Fear as he had never felt before engulfed him in that instant.
"S... She... Not inside. She went out."
Abby who had not heard from her husband in minutes now called for him. "Greg! Are you okay?" Polar heard and then he smiled.
"She’s not in now is she?" The huge men he came with pushed Gregory aside as they stepped in.
"Hello, Mrs Peterson." Abby’s eyes turned wide at the sight of the man she was seeing before her. What was he doing here?
Right now, she was glad she had sent Chris away. This man will never be able to see him. She was the one who collected the money, if there’s anyone he wants to hurt it should be her, now her son.
"W... What do you want? If you’re here for your money, just kill me and leave my family out of it." Abby said to see him smile.
"Oh no, no no no no." Polar said.
"I’m not here for your money. In fact, you can keep it. I’m here to make a better deal with you." Abby’s eyes turned wide, then she frowned. She didn’t like the sound of this. The last time this man came with his deal, she had gotten into a lot of trouble.
She has learned more than enough lessons now to know this man was a bad omen.
"I don’t need your deal Mr Polar. I’ll pay you back your money very soon." Abby said to see him smile.
"Alright. Then I want my money now." He said calmly, face as bright as a child’s, almost playful.
"I... I don’t have it. But I’ll pay you before you know it." Came Abby’s soft words. She would rather pay him back than get into another deal with this man. She cannot endanger the lives of her family members once again.
"You’ve been making excuses for months now and have refused to pay, yet are refusing my offer." Polar waved his hands and his huge men grabbed Gregory. Abby panicked immediately, eyes going wide.
"What are you doing?" Abby asked.
"Showing you what I do to people who refuse to pay. If you think sending your son away will save you, then you have thought wrong. I know where Chris is, and I can still kill him." He said bringing out a short knife from his pocket with a smile. The smile that made Abby’s skin crawl.
Her heart raced so hard. No it couldn’t be. Is this man not about to kill her husband before her eyes is he?
"Place his hands on the table, let me show them what it feels like to not pay what you owe," Polar commanded and his men placed Greg’s hands on the table.
"No, no no no please. We’ll pay back. I... I had no idea she collected the money from you." Gregory cried out, struggling with those men but they held him still.
"Hmm, I know. It’s too bad you have to pay for your wife’s crime. Now what do I do to you...?" Polar stressed the words smiling so brightly. These people were so easy to kill. He wanted a stronger opponent. He wanted his skin bruised a little too.
It’s been so long since he’s exercised his body. His last fight was with Dewitt Adkins, and the man had killed himself before he even had a chance with him.
How boring...
With swift movement Polar’s hands landed on the table, causing a loud bang, and the next moment, Gregory could see his middle finger on the floor with blood spilling from his hands.
"Ahhhhhhhh." Abby shrieked at the sight before her. She could not believe it. Gregory’s middle finger was on the floor in seconds.
Greg whose hands had been cut, had fainted at a spot...
"Now, over to you. I want Chris’s contact, or I cut more fingers." He turned to Abby."
