Academic gathering with a lich-Chapter 681 - 631: The Fiery Male Model_2
"No wonder you’re looking so well today, you don’t at all resemble a man who’s been up all night for five or six hundred days."
"Heh, I insist on getting up early every day and hitting myself with the Hammer of the Red Dragon. I can still forge for another hundred years!!!" said the Dwarf Master as he took out that familiar Hammer of the Red Dragon. The Hammer of the Red Dragon wasn’t only supplied to the entire Life Warlord unit; in fact, after the last meeting, every member of the Craftsmen’s Council had obtained a Hammer of the Red Dragon in various ways. This Forging Divine Hammer wouldn’t damage equipment. Could any blacksmith possibly refuse such a thing? Gradually, the Hammer of the Red Dragon had become a symbol of membership within the Craftsmen’s Council. Awarding a Blacksmith Master with a Hammer of the Red Dragon had become an unwritten rule.
"As I thought, you old folks, once you get a hammer, spend all day squatting in the workshop, right!"
"Nonsense! With the vitality and drive that rivals that of the young, I must forge more and better equipment to match my rejuvenated body!!! I’ll keep forging until I drop dead!"
The King of the Dwarves just happened to walk in and was embarrassed to overhear the councilor’s conversation.
"My lords, do pay attention to your mental health, the Hammer of the Red Dragon can’t cure mental illness."
"Not at all, Your Majesty, with all the things you manage every day, you’re the one who should be careful with your health. Have you had your hammer today?" The pleasantries ended, and the fiery Dwarf councilor directly asked Visergg the reason for interrupting their work with frequent meetings, when it hadn’t been long since the last Craftsmen’s Council.
Visergg felt helpless in his heart.
He remembered the time before Lyle came, when these councilors wished they could have a Craftsmen’s Council meeting every day, seizing the opportunity to criticize and direct him under the guise of their elder status. They looked down on him, their new king, as if they despised him to death.
And now, they still despised him to death - for being troublesome and for interrupting their work.
"The one who called for today’s meeting is not me, but a special guest..."
The Dwarf councilors who were previously making noise in their seats fell completely silent. How many special guests could there be in McKenbert Tower now, if not for that Dragon King Priest named Lyle? This fellow, in the previous meeting, had made a fool out of all the councilors. That young man with a smile on his face cruelly pinpointed everyone’s narrow-mindedness in the most sacred Bronze Hall of McKenbert Tower and lashed out at them all.
All the councilors were furious, but damned if what he said and did wasn’t right. Especially now that they were basking in the power of the Red Dragon, each Dwarf councilor who looked back on their past selves felt foolish. Everyone felt a bit intimidated by Lyle, as this seemingly feeble human’s ideas and actions were not something they were confident they could criticize.
And so, such a situation had arisen at the Craftsmen’s Council in McKenbert Tower.
The councilors resisted Lyle but were anticipating the new changes he would bring to the Dwarf race.
"The guest who comes to our council today is from the Great Furnace, Baron of the Garden..."
"Phew, that scared me. Good, good..." An assemblyman seemed to have gone through an unnecessary internal struggle, feeling relieved, he relaxed.
"And Lyle." Visergg’s bushy beard concealed his sly smile.
"!!!" The councilors went limp, staring in a somewhat dejected manner as a tall, flaming figure entered from outside the Bronze Hall, along with his small, slim companion.
As soon as Lyle entered, he felt those evasive glances. Looking at those dwarf councilors slumped in all directions, he showed a puzzled expression.
"My lords, are you exhausted? That won’t do at all! It seems I really was too impulsive, not taking into account your feelings. I’m truly sorry."
"Not at all, not at all." The councilors quickly put on smiling faces, suddenly feeling that showing weakness wasn’t so bad.
"So, Captain Paul, let the Life Warlord come out, wake the councilors up, give them a pep talk, if you please!"
"No need, no need!!" The councilors regained their vim, avoiding the miserable fate of being scolded or beaten in the sacred hall.
With this, the proceedings of the Craftsmen’s Council actually went a lot smoother.
Lyle stood on the central platform and gestured for the Baron of the Garden to step forward.
"Gentlemen, I’m sure everyone here knows this Elemental Lord. Let me introduce him again; this is our good neighbor, the Elemental Lord from the Great Furnace, the Baron of the Garden, a follower and operational officer of the Red Dragon Imelt. This Elemental Lord of fire is our ally, and like all of you, he is a trusted companion of the Red Dragon Imelt."
Lyle pointed at Baron of the Garden’s body, urging everyone to take a close look.
"Don’t you think he’s missing something?"
The councilors began whispering to each other, looking at the Baron of the Garden’s fiery body with confusion.
"Don’t know, he’s missing a couple of legs?"
"He’s missing clothes, you idiot! Should the noble followers of the great Red Dragon lady always maintain a state of undress? Doesn’t it hurt your conscience!"
"Do Elemental Creatures need clothes?" "Idiot, what Mr. Lyle means is equipment; the Elemental Lord needs a set of equipment to make the followers of the Red Dragon look more powerful."
Those old foxes caught on quickly, which pleased Lyle.
"A very good proposal, Mr. Lyle. The Baron of the Garden has contributed much to both the Great Furnace and McKenbert Tower, and we are very willing to aid this Elemental ally. While making Elemental equipment can be a bit tricky, everyone here is a Blacksmith Master, and crafting a set of equipment shouldn’t be too difficult." 𝘧𝓇𝑒𝑒𝑤ℯ𝑏𝓃𝘰𝑣ℯ𝘭.𝘤ℴ𝘮
Lyle nodded in satisfaction, pleased with the response.
"If possible, please make it modular with extra components to ensure flexibility."
