Chapter 678: Chapter 629 Otherwise What?

The brightness seemed to grow upon her scales, each splash of lava leaving a dazzling glow on the crystals and scales. From a distance, the sight was not clear, but through the Dwarves’ eyes, it was as if that beautiful creature was sparkling. The slender body of the crawling type possessed an intrinsic serpentine beauty, its robust limbs and the sharply defined crystals complementing each other.

In the breathless gaze of the Dwarves, the Red Dragon opened its eyes. The moment those ruby eyes were revealed, the dragon’s aura changed. Fire Serpents climbed out of the magma onto the crystal clusters, the respectful elemental beings stretched their bodies, slowly winding around the dragon’s form with their fiery light, gradually illuminating the Red Dragon. The rising glow seemed like a signal, building momentum in everyone’s hearts.

"Roar!!!"

The resonant roar of the dragon burst forth from the anticipation of every spectator, as if the great forge itself had brightened a few shades at that moment.

Imelt shuffled its front claws, raising its upper body high. Facing a vision filled with Dwarves, the Red Dragon declared proudly, inheriting its parents’ powerful physique.

"I am the Red Dragon Imelt, and I shall become the guardian of Mackenbert. My Kin Clan, witness my power!!!" As the words fell, the Dragon of Fire opened its burning wings and leaped from the crystals, the downdraft slicing through the lava.

"In the name of Imelt, Fire Spirits, heed my call!"

As the Red Dragon’s body brushed over the Lava Lake, countless fire elementals leaped from the lava, transforming into heatwaves that ignited the Red Dragon’s form, the fiery wings climbing onto her scales, leaving a burning illusion in the sky.

The Red Dragon became a moving inferno, her body engulfed in flames, with only her head and neck still visible. Fire elementals connected to her body, forming an immensely large Dragon of Fire.

Then, the blindingly bright super dragon rolled up the heatwaves and charged towards the uppermost layer of Mackenbert with a force of destruction.

The burning Fire Dragons circled above the City of Dwarves, each loop showering fiery rain from the sky, eliciting cheers from the Dwarves.

Lyle stood next to Visergg, looking up at the Dragon of Fire that was tearing through the internal mountain paths.

Imelt had made a great effort. The times it roared were few, and that roar must have taken all its strength. During the juvenile period of the five dragons, the black dragon Alcalon always took the opportunity to assert his status as the eldest. His loud voice made a deep impression on Lyle because of him, the other four dragons didn’t like to roar, thinking it as stupid as their dumb brother.

But with such a spectacle, coupled with a signature roar, it was definitely the crowning touch of a dragon’s debut. Lyle could understand the subsequent flying performance by the Red Dragon and the Fire Spirits.

But, if you must fly, why demolish the fiery Dwarves’ buildings? Don’t you see the King right next to me?

And you Dwarves as well, watch all you want, but why cheer when the Red Dragon shatters your buildings? Don’t you see your King right next to me?

"Ah, Imelt has destroyed a mountain path, I reckon that route’s done for."

The King of the Dwarves responded to Lyle’s reminder with utter composure.

"That was the path to the old mining area, the veins there were already exhausted, so it’s no loss if it is destroyed."

Lyle arched his eyebrows as another explosion rang out nearby.

"They’ve just smashed a stone monument; it looks like some sort of memorial."

"The Dwarves and Fire Unity Monument, it was a memorial stone commemorating the alliance between our race and the Fire Spirits of the great forge. It’s broken, so it’s broken. The new alliance will include the Red Dragon Imelt, so it’s fitting to rebuild with a Red Dragon sculpture."

"...Did you plan this in advance?"

Visergg downed another cup of wine and nodded.

"My uncle contacted me earlier, saying that Lady Red Dragon’s performance needed to be sensational, and to shock the Dwarves, demolishing buildings was clearly the most suitable. I selected some abandoned structures for them to use; the old district set for renovation has already been cleared out.’[Idol activities should consider economic benefits]’, the Baron of the Garden said you taught him."

"..." Although the results were good, Lyle was certain that this was not what he had meant.

It was as though a cultivated girl idol’s performed talent was to break stones with her chest, and these dimwitted spectators were still applauding.

A strange feeling of discomfort.

"Although we had agreed on this, watching the buildings constructed by my father being destroyed bleeds my heart, especially when my subjects cheer. Ah, but I understand it’s the necessary cost of accepting the power of the Red Dragon. Lyle, join me for another drink. Don’t worry, they are only targeting the pre-designated abandoned districts for demolition, and even if there’s a mistake, the citizens are all gathered here, so no one will get hurt. As for any extra loss of property, compared to the benefits the Red Dragon brings, it’s negligible."

"She’s headed towards your palace now."

```
"Fuck!" Visergg half-woke from his drunkenness, his eyes bulging as he quickly looked back toward the direction of his home.
The Red Dragon simply passed over the palace, dropping a few sparks in its wake.
"Ly~~le~~" The red-eyed King of the Dwarves had already reached for his war hammer... but in the end, his palm moved to grasp the cup, and the King of the Dwarves, his heart full of gloom, continued to drink.
The Red Dragon’s claws pierced through the mountain wall.
The Dwarven populace cried out loudly.
Visergg took a casual sip.
The scorching breath of the dragon melted the streets, the signs, and the shops.
The Dwarven populace linked arms over their shoulders and sang out loud.
Visergg chugged his drink.
The flames brought by the Red Dragon turned the old district into a sea of fire, a huge bonfire reducing a quarter of Mackenbert to ashes.
These seemingly crazed Dwarves danced on the spot, encircling the far-off homes of their own that had been ignited. He had never seen anyone so happy to have their home burned down.
The King of the Dwarves tossed aside his cup, spread his arms, and started guzzling from a barrel of liquor, the strong drink cascading down his chin.
What Lyle observed was such a scene.
The Red Dragon wreaking havoc on the city, frenzied Dwarves cheering and worshipping the dragon, while their actual leader was engaging in a personal display of alcohol capacity.
The Red Dragon’s idol activities concluded, Lyle felt that Mackenbert was on the brink of doom, both in terms of the integrity of the city and the mental state of the inhabitants.
The equipment change for the Life Warlord became nothing more than a trivial footnote. These warriors wielding the power of the Red Dragon gained an array of new armaments, from which even emerged Senior Warlords using dual hammers, dual blades, and even more weapons.
Lyle saw a three-hammer warlord.
The Dwarf Warrior adeptly controlled three hammers of the Red Dragon with his hands. With unique combat skills, this Life Warlord turned the Hammers of the Red Dragon into some kind of flying prop, a special connection existing between the Red Dragon Armor and the hammers. The flying hammers moved with ease, as if an extension of his body.
Watching him juggle those iron hammers up and down amidst his comrades, Lyle was sure it wouldn’t be long before there appeared four-hammer warlords, five-hammer warlords.
The Life Warlords, more formidable with their new equipment, declared loyalty to the Red Dragon, Imelt, and the King of the Dwarves, Visergg. The half-drunk, half-awake King of the Dwarves climbed up the pre-constructed platform with the support of his guards, took two or three deep breaths, and belched a thunderous, earth-shaking belch.
Then the Dwarves laughed heartily and applauded, making Lyle feel isolated, as everything here seemed out of place for him.
[Isn’t this what you wanted, Lyle? Imelt had fully integrated with her Kin Clan, although the union wasn’t exactly normal on either side.]
Lyle felt a sinking feeling in his heart.
"This isn’t what I imagined the Kin Clan of a great dragon to be like. Was the splendor of the Dragon Era really like this?"
Nia’s tentacles prodded Lyle’s twitching mouth as ominous whispers echoed in his ears.
[The splendor of the Dragon Era? Impossible.]
[This is a new era, this is our splendor.]
[The new splendor led by the Evil God Lyle.]
"Are you saying that the Red Dragon and the Dwarves turning neurotic is all my fault?"
