Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion-Chapter 196 - 195: trul and raizen
Time passed by, and it was already a week. During these days, Dared came out to chill for a while, look at space, and walk around.
He could see people already making friends, smiling, with some events and sparring matches going on—complete with bets. It all seemed normal; after all, everyone was bored.
Today was the
last day, and one massive fight—or spar—was taking place.
"Who do you think will win? Raizen or that boy from the lower universe... what's his name again?"
"Oh, you mean the country bumpkin kid? Lol, there's little Trul can do against Raizen."
"Really? Are you betting on Raizen to win?"
"Yeah, most likely..." The reply came as Dared narrowed his eyes. Discussions like this rang out all around, talking about the new kid Trul and Raizen's battle.
Dared was bored anyway, so he went there.
A distance of one hundred meters in length was cleared as everyone surrounded them—on the ground and in the air.
"Alright, the time is finally here. We have two contestants for this spar. The rules are: their realm of strength must be the same, and these two just broke through to the planetary level. One is the son of a famous soldier at the forefront, and the other rose step by step from a little blue planet in the Milky Way galaxy to here.
"The second rule is no death battle—after all, this is merely a spar. So without further ado, welcome Raizen and Trul," a middle-aged man said as two beings appeared in the ring.
Dared was stunned when he saw them both—they were part of the ones who one-tapped their clones.
He was always curious about their strength, and now he could actually see it. He was truly looking forward to it.
"You may begin..." a voice echoed as the two smiled at each other, and then the battle started.
Quickly, they reached each other and punched out.
Boom...
"No way, this rookie wants to trade blows with Raizen?!"
"Huh? What do you mean? Can't he?"
"Ah, you must be new. In all the fights Raizen participated in, he beat his opponents with a single punch."
"Wait... why?"
"Well, he has a terrifying physique. The name is currently unknown to us, but he is strong. If the rookie had dodged and gone for a counter, maybe the battle would have lasted more than a second... Now, it's basically over."
"Wow..."
Hearing this discussion, Dared looked around. Everyone was shaking their heads. It seemed they were right—but Dared looked at the rookie with a smile on his face.
Even if he had just appeared—meaning he battled his clone for a long time—it doesn't mean he is weak. Well, maybe the rookie just overestimates himself.
Boom...
A shockwave spread out as the two punches met.
Everyone was shocked, for Trul wasn't sent flying like they had expected—he stood his ground.
"As expected..." Dared grinned as he looked at the two fighters.
"You are strong," Raizen raised an eyebrow as he said.
"Likewise," Trul replied and smiled, but inside, his mind was in a daze.
How strong are these people...? Is this what it means to look at the bigger world? Everyone here is so strong... Do I really have a terrifying physique system? Trul called out.
(Yes, host... Your physique is one of the strongest. As long as there are resources, you can keep getting stronger. The conversion ability and speed of your body make you powerful. With this system, you can buy anything as long as you have enough system points.)
"Hmm, show me my stats," Trul said as a pop-up display appeared in front of him.
Name: Trul
Realm: Planetary level
Physique: Heavenly Chosen
System Points: 1,054
"Hmm, alright. I'll buy some things after finishing this trial... System, are you absolutely sure this organization will be the one to change this multi-universe?" Trul asked, confused, as he looked at the approaching Raizen.
(Host, the current state will crumble. A new, beautiful world will be formed after the dark ages, and this organization will be a key survivor in the coming turbulent times. Host should work hard and gather more system points to buy better things. You aren't the only Son of Destiny...)
"I see..." Trul narrowed his eyes and sighed.
The system was right—he wasn't the only Son of Destiny, and even more, those who weren't Sons of Destiny were numerous and strong too.
He is weak, isn't he?
With a slight twist of his legs, he dodged a punch to the gut and looked at Raizen, enjoying the spar.
"Sigh... let's see," Trul thought as he stopped being evasive and defensive and started attacking.
The onlookers smiled. Finally—an entertaining battle.
Just as the battle reached its peak, a huge face condensed in the sky, and everyone stopped.
"Oh, you're already sorting out your boredom. Well, it is the seventh day, which makes a week. For those who didn't make it, sorry—they are eliminated. So..." Just as the weakest general of the Dreadborne Organization was about to continue, someone voiced a question.
"Eliminated... What do you mean?" he asked as the face grinned.
"Destroyed."
One word—and everyone fell silent.
"You said if the clone won, he would devour us and become us. What about those who couldn't defeat their clone or were defeated by it?" Dared asked as the face replied.
"Same end."
Everyone was shocked. Some were angry. Some had lost family members, friends, lovers—even. But just a week into this trial, they had realized that this organization was not simple at all. Their lives were not even considered, so they could only hold in the anger and hate.
"Alright, back to what I was saying. The next trial is one where... well, basically, your decision determines your life or death. Like before, you have a year—but in here, it's only a week." After the last sentence, the face disappeared.
"Another one," Dared thought, still pondering the deaths of those who didn't defeat their clone—or were defeated by it.
"This keeps getting more interesting..." Dared thought.

At a base—
Headquarters, Dreadborne Organization...
A male figure could be seen with a slight smile on his face...
"Haha, this is fascinating..." the being said with a smile, as his white hair was briefly seen for a moment.
