Abyss Summoner-Chapter 351 - 341: The Slayer
For the survivors of East Bridge, some major events have happened recently. The city’s reconstruction has received aid, and the number of originally bizarre-looking Natives has grown from three hundred to one thousand. These Natives have played a significant role; within just a month, the entire East Bridge looks entirely new, with no signs of having been attacked by the insect swarm.
The insect swarm, although it brought much death, those who are alive must continue on.
Subsidies have been distributed, and due to the aid, the survivors of East Bridge did not experience large-scale deaths from food shortages as in the past.
However, astute residents have noticed some differences.
At some point, many new regulations were imposed on the people, such as garbage sorting, anti-corruption measures, and the exposure of embezzlement. In the span of a month, thirteen professionals and numerous Warriors were held accountable, with their status impaired and their salaries reduced.
In their leisure time, people gathered to discuss what was happening, mainly speculating that Xu Hongzhuang was going over old accounts to eradicate previous powers. Rather than calling it regulation, it might be better described as a purge.
But is that really the case?
Perhaps only those who have visited Order know that East Bridge is becoming increasingly similar to Order not far away.
No matter the era, there is never a lack of opportunists.
If the upper echelons of East Bridge had previously been merely interested in befriending Order, now most have completely turned sides, with many even openly pledging allegiance to Chen Feng through real-name letters.
Change in regime. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
With the annihilation of the Iron Demon Army, Xu Hongzhuang’s staunch supporters, there was no longer any military suppression, so some people’s minds became active. But their object of favor was not the deceased conservatives or the confined Feng Zhiyong, but Chen Feng, who turned the tide on the battlefield.
Xu Hongzhuang’s attitude towards Chen Feng is a scene most higher-ups have witnessed firsthand.
If Xu Hongzhuang is the ruler of East Bridge, she is merely a puppet that has been hollowed out. The true power behind the scenes has become the killer—Chen Feng.
Back when Chen Feng performed the Blood Sacrifice on the insect swarm, many witnessed that scene. Afterword of mouth, Chen Feng had become a great being capable of transforming into a "giant monster."
Chen Feng neither agreed nor opposed.
But the legend of the killer continued to circulate in some corners.
In chaotic times, heroes emerge.
In peaceful times, if someone who kills without batting an eye appeared, everyone would panic because such an existence would be an anomaly in a time of peace.
But this is the end times.
In a world surrounded by disaster and monsters, a formidable ruler undoubtedly brings more peace of mind. Compared to the overly righteous Xu Hongzhuang, Chen Feng better fits the role of a Guardian.

After Chen Feng finished his dinner and was resting on a lounge chair, there came a series of light footsteps, followed by a wet little girl appearing in front of him.
Although it still needed some time to recover, particularly since the wounds on its wings hadn’t healed, its mental state was much better than Chen Feng had expected. Beside it, a maid discernibly walked away, leaving the space to the two.
Inferior Demon.
An odd name.
However, those serving under Chen Feng were well aware of the other’s status, akin to the group’s young mistress.
Chen Feng maintained a certain wariness of everyone, which, although making him difficult to approach, added an unintentional air of mystery. Yet among his subordinates, only this little girl with a human appearance and a monstrous body could achieve a semblance of closeness.
Because it had absorbed some abilities of the Demon Prince, Inferior Demon’s body went through some transformations. Its formerly muddy body had turned crystalline, making its form far less bloated than before.
It wore a white dress with some yellow Flowers printed on it. The neatly arranged facial features paired with a bear-shaped hairpin atop its head made it look completely devoid of any demonic shadow.
Inferior Demon wobbled forward and instantly leaped into Chen Feng’s embrace. Chen Feng did not push it away but hugged it in return.
Inferior Demon wriggled, akin to a cat trampling down on a bed, trying to make it softer.
After some time of evolution, Inferior Demon had learned to keep its voice in a little girl’s tone, sounding more naive and coquettish: "Master... the little bats have gotten fat... can I eat a few of them?"
If a little Devil stood here, then these creatures known in Hell for their cunning would tremble in fear, unsure of what to do.
The contrast between the innocent voice and the meaning within the tone was stark.
No matter what form Inferior Demon took, its nature remained bloodthirsty and brutal, with all its intimacy displayed only before Chen Feng; for most of the time, it was still that ruthless devourer.
With battles reducing, the little demons’ opportunity to join the fray decreased significantly, and the delectable meals had undoubtedly caused its figure to grow rounder in a short time.
Long ago.
Chen Feng had noticed Inferior Demon often lying by and staring at the little Devils, like a child. However, compared to other little girls’ curiosity, its thoughts were more about how to swallow them up.
"That won’t do."
Chen Feng shook his head; for him, the little Devils were undoubtedly the best air force — with incredible mobility and sharp speed, they were not only bombers but also the most elite scouts.
Are the Birds hiding once the Bows are down?
Quite the opposite.
The crisis of the insect swarm was over, but that didn’t mean the world would settle down.
Inferior Demon’s eyes widened, its small mouth pouting, and teary-eyed look resembled a little girl asking her family for cake, only to be refused.
For those who hadn’t exposed themselves to the underworld, it was difficult to refuse Inferior Demon’s appearance.
As a pure Demon, Chen Feng undoubtedly didn’t belong to this "majority," but he suddenly recalled Inferior Demon’s performance on the battlefield when facing the Annihilation Insect Emperor. Until it exhausted its strength, it remained protectively by his side, triggering the only bit of softness in his heart. He sighed and said, "Just one."
"Master... Master is the best!" Inferior Demon’s shriek echoed as it jumped off Chen Feng’s lap, then, with its little follower, a ghoul who liked to eat meat but was forced to eat vegetarian, it ran towards where the little Devils roosted.
Inferior Demon had learned to think, and while running, a few notes unintentionally passed from its lips into Chen Feng’s ears.
"Quick... be sure to pick the biggest one..."
Chen Feng sat aside, suddenly at a loss for words.
