Chapter 34: Chapter 32: Descent! (Part 2)

This is something that cannot be helped.

To liberate this district, sacrifices must be made—not just by these warriors, but if necessary, even he must be willing to give up his life!

Feng Zhiyong closed his eyes, seemingly afraid to face what was about to happen, his lips trembling as he said, "Fire..."

"What? Commander, our brothers are still in there!"

"Yes, if we fire now, those brothers won’t have any chance of survival..."

"How can we do this?"

The rest of the warriors widened their eyes; they seemed unable to believe their ears and began pleading collectively.

"I said fire!"

Feng Zhiyong suddenly opened his eyes, different from before, now his whole being was filled with the aura of a superior, his tone leaving no room for argument.

"This..."

Following the commander’s gaze, the warriors quickly understood; with these comrades as a buffer, their success rate in shooting the monsters would greatly increase. But these are humans... comrades who have endured hardships together. Unity and trust were their first lessons, and now, their commander was ordering them to shoot their comrades, how could they harden their hearts to do this?

Thinking about having to personally kill comrades they’ve shared life with, the warriors were heartbroken, completely unsure of what to do...

"Why are you still standing around? I told you to fire! Fire! A bunch of cowards, useless, now... I command... you to fire!"

Feng Zhiyong’s voice had become hoarse, known in the military as the cold-faced veteran, this commander who loved teaching that a man bleeds but doesn’t cry, this man who lived half his life in the army, was now in tears, tears filling his eyes, trembling as he said, "Fire..."

No choice.

Yes indeed...

If not now, then when?

"Ah! I’ll kill you!"

"Bastard, go to hell!"

"Xiaowu, I’ll be your brother in the next life!"

The warriors, eyes red, roared as they raised their guns, aiming at the distant entangled monsters and comrades.

Suddenly!

A warrior with a raised gun showed an expression of disbelief, staring ahead in shock, shouting, "Hang on... look over there!"

On a nearby rooftop, there stood a slender figure.

He had a stern appearance, eyes cold and deep. Typically, this would give an icy feeling, keeping others at arm’s length. But now... in this predicament, among the bewildered and confused warriors, his appearance was like a block of ice, calming the restless heat in their hearts.

Because of his appearance, the crowd even forgot to pull the trigger.

Abominable beast, such a cruel entity, yet in his eyes showed no trace of fear, not even a ripple on his face.

"Enough people have died already!"

Chen Feng murmured softly, then forcefully waved his arm, releasing an invisible wave of air.

Two dark mists emerged beside him, and in an instant, two eerie shadows twisted into figures, sinister outlines appeared vaguely before everyone’s eyes.

Dark Elf.

These are beings that worship death, possessing wicked intentions, born of darkness, they are incarnations of the darkest residual thoughts.

Darkness, distortion, pain, and torment.

She was clad in black, an elegant neck beneath which stood a slender waist, narrow enough to barely grasp, with long, supple, perfectly shaped legs exuding seduction, this was a woman whose allure seemed inherent in her very being.

Pink poison.

The only way to solve problems isn’t just through battle; in the Abyss, danger lurks everywhere, if one only knows how to use force to solve problems, the Dark Elf would not survive long.

Body.

In that chaotic world, she expertly utilized various assets, like arrows in her hand, her body was one of her sharpest, most lethal weapons.

"Roar..."

The abominable beast sensed the threat, raised its head, blood-red eyes directed at Chen Feng, seeming to state its claim—this is its territory, if wise, leave at once!

"If you were at your peak, I wouldn’t dare have any ideas about you, but now, after taking so much ammo and exhausting half your strength killing professionals, you don’t even have thirty percent of your power left. Tell me to leave? You dare!"

Chen Feng raised his head, eyes shining with bone-chilling light surpassing the heavens, forcing out the words, "Kill it!"

In the Dark Elf’s eyes appeared a glint of brilliance, among her kind, females were revered, for her, males were merely slaves and tools for procreation.

Yet...

Chen Feng was different, as her master, from him, she felt a divine spirit’s force, one that could neither be violated nor resisted, especially when she showed even a hint of discontent, receiving harsh punishment rarely experienced.

In particular, he consistently provided powerful prey for her to abuse.

Silver Level.

Though the abominable beast was now in a sorry state, having its wings blasted apart, chest scorched with a massive wound, body covered in countless bullet holes, its aura remained as terrifying and strong.

Dark Elf worshiped a goddess named Rose, a savage, tyrannical ruler who delighted in torment, granting her favor to those who kill mighty foes.

Some Dark Elves even actively captured Unicorns to please the goddess, when the pure Unicorns were assaulted by darkness and death, Rose would bestow her blessings.

A master who consistently allows her to torment powerful opponents, one who views her as an ant, a cruel, tyrannical master the Dark Elf trembled before. She gazed at Chen Feng, eyes misty, legs weak, imprinting a second shadow in her heart along with goddess Rose.

"Swish!"

The Dark Elf drew back the arrow, the next second, with a "snap," the black arrow streaked across like a comet, piercing the abominable beast’s ankles and wrists.

"Awooooo..."

Hit by what felt like hurricane-force arrows, the abominable beast screeched, its soul on fire, eyes dead with desolation, an ache in its ankle left it no room to escape, suffering hit after hit.

"Awooooo..."

Boundless power erupted once more, the enraged abominable beast was mindless, its front paws covered in fine red blood droplets, muscles swelling, nails lengthening, forelimbs like Devil’s limbs, exuding an imposing power, seemingly able to crush stone with ease.

"Thud!"

Useless, however violent the abominable beast was, it had lost the ability to fly, now standing like a target, subjected to the Dark Elf’s relentless shooting.

Ankles, wrists, chest, waist, eyes...

Five arrows, the Dark Elf akin to a torturer of prisoners, revelling in punishing the abominable beast.

Great master.

Proud master.

Cruel master.

The Dark Elf drew her arrow once more, lips trembling slightly, yet the arrow remained straight as a parallel line, to please her master, she would personally end the abominable beast’s life...
