Abyss Sequence-Chapter 405 - 62: The Right Direction
Crimson No. 2 Hospital is equipped with a full set of medical examination devices. After seeing the message sent by Helena, Sasa immediately ran from her room to the first floor, grabbed Yan Luo, who was holding Wang Lingyu while watching TV, to drag him to the hospital for a check-up.
Wang Lingyu was initially surprised, but upon hearing Sasa’s idea, she became interested and joined Sasa in pulling Yan Luo.
Helpless, Yan Luo could only go to the hospital with them.
"Concentrate your magnetic field power, don’t affect the operation of the equipment!"
Before Yan Luo started the examination, Sasa seriously reminded him.
Yan Luo’s current magnetic field power is more than a hundred thousand times that of an ordinary person!
If Yan Luo does not concentrate his magnetic field power, not only will the medical equipment in the hospital be affected, but electronic devices throughout the surrounding street block would fail.
Wang Lingyu and Sasa pulled Yan Luo through the check-up, obtaining all his physical data.
Even the doctor specially called in to conduct Yan Luo’s examination couldn’t help but gasp when seeing the data on the report.
The hospital didn’t test Yan Luo’s punching, kicking, or jumping abilities; they only checked part of his physical data like blood oxygen, blood sugar, and hormone levels.
Data showed that Yan Luo’s blood contained a large amount of energy, with energy density comparable to oil. With some processing, it might even power a car with an internal combustion engine.
Moreover, his hormone levels were frightening. If an ordinary person had one percent of these hormone levels, they could ascend directly to the steroid planet.
Even more astonishing is that Yan Luo’s cellular structure differs significantly from ordinary human cells. Although Sasa personally conducted the blood test, the doctor observed that Yan Luo’s cells could emit light and electricity through friction.
From this standpoint, Yan Luo is thoroughly non-human, with the term ’human’ serving more as a metaphor for him.
Sasa didn’t focus much on other physical data, but mainly on Yan Luo’s nerve distribution and muscle structure.
What puzzled Sasa was that Yan Luo’s nerve distribution was similar to ordinary humans, only slightly altered for structural enhancement, with minimal change.
Sasa imagined the Saint would have a ’engraving’ similar to a demon inside as a channel to activate powers, but as she observed, Yan Luo had nothing inside.
As a genuine extraordinary individual, Yan Luo’s nervous system showed little difference compared to ordinary humans.
This is truly a perplexing matter!
Moreover, Yan Luo’s body showed almost no magic power response; the slight response was only from the City-breaking Level Demon barbecue he ate this morning.
Looking at these examination results, there’s no apparent reason why Yan Luo is an extraordinary one.
"Hmm...could the key be the soul?" Wang Lingyu suggested.
Sasa glanced at Wang Lingyu and nodded, "This might indeed be possible."
Then, Sasa turned to Lady Yafugonia sitting beside her, asking, "Lady Yafugonia, how do elves enhance their powers?"
Lady Yafugonia tilted her head, her ears twitching, she replied, "Elves primarily enhance their strength through meditation, which increases the soul’s capacity. Our experience is not a reference for this matter since, by human classification, elves are born extraordinary individuals."
Yes, elves are a race of all extraordinary beings.
Rather, races like humans, naturally unable to access magic power, seem abnormal to elves; if such an elf emerged in Alfheim, it would be a serious illness.
Next, Lady Yafugonia offered her suggestion: "In my opinion, Ms. Bilukova might need to calm down, sincerely feel her power, rather than trying to guide it."
Wang Lingyu was curious, "Why do you say that?"
Lady Yafugonia replied, "Twelve engravings in Alfheim can form the foundational structure of a ’Divine Artifact,’ where its basic function includes possessing a vague self-awareness capable of independently thinking and accomplishing tasks based on our commands. While making a Divine Artifact and an Engraver are surely different, I think there might be some reference."
Sasa pondered for a while, then organized Lady Yafugonia’s words into a message and sent it to Yulia.
Whatever happens next, she couldn’t foresee.
......
"Feel the engraving with your heart?"
Upon receiving the message, Yulia went to the quiet room, sitting cross-legged inside.
A faint aroma lingered at the tip of her nose, and her spirit quickly became tranquil.
In the silent room, Yulia initially heard her heartbeat and breathing, but as time passed, everything seemed to vanish.
Disappeared, yet existed.
The ’world’ vanished, while ’self’ remained.
Yulia faintly felt herself sitting in a void, with nothing but herself.
She could perceive everything in and around her body, seemingly observing the organs’ activity and blood flowing through arteries.
As time drifted, she felt something like electric currents sparking through the nervous system.
Countless electric lights flowed in the nerves, forming her consciousness.
Radiant electric currents emitted inside, forming mist-like things breathing with her consciousness activity.
Yulia thought nothing, even though witnessing so many miraculous things, her mind remained devoid of thoughts.
After an unknown length of time, a chill suddenly permeated the air, as if low temperatures circled around.
Cold air exhaled through the nose and mouth, with ice crystals appearing in the blood.
The body grew colder, yet her condition didn’t worsen.
Ding-ling-ling!
A bell suddenly rang, startling Yulia awake.
Worried she might forget to eat and sleep, she set an alarm clock.
Yulia glanced at her personal terminal, surprised to find that eight hours had elapsed.
Had it been so long? 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
Yulia hadn’t expected to be so immersed in meditation that long, so she decided to stretch, knowing her legs would be numb from sitting.
Yet, as she stretched her legs, she noticed a layer of frost on the ground.
"Huh?"
......
Yulia accessed the surveillance in the quiet room to see what she’d done in those eight hours, and noticed that after entering a meditative state, the room temperature began decreasing from the fifth hour.
But at that time, she hadn’t activated any engraving.
With no activated engraving, the room temperature still fell...could this mean she’s beginning to grasp extraordinary powers?
Yulia didn’t celebrate immediately but continued watching.
She saw mist starting to spread around her, initially thin but quickly becoming dense.
Within ten minutes, it reached the point where visibility was nil.
Then, frost formed on the ground.
Centered around Yulia, frost gradually spread outward until the alarm awoke her.
"No activated engraving..."
Yulia didn’t know how to feel, only sensing dryness in her mouth with many thoughts she couldn’t articulate.
Despite her old age and broad experience with mental preparation, when such events truly unfold before her, Yulia still felt as nervous as a young person.
After calming down, Yulia didn’t send a congratulatory message but started documenting previous events.
Undoubtedly, this time she’s found the correct path; following this trail she’ll reach Sequence One.
Though it’s unclear how long it’ll take, at least there’s a right direction; all she needs is perseverance toward it.
After recording, Yulia sent a congratulatory message to others.
Before long, she’ll become Blue Star’s first modern Sequence One Engraver.
Undisputed first!
