Abyss Dominator System-Chapter 39 - 36 The 1st Large-Scale Sacrifice
Chapter 39 - 36 The 1st Large-Scale Sacrifice
"Boom!"
The Maserati drove to the outskirts of Mo City and arrived in front of a warehouse.
This warehouse was located in the outskirts of Mo City, far from the city center, with few people nearby.
"Master, this is one of the abandoned warehouses under my name. I've had someone clear out space for housing poultry. If you need it for long-term use, I will have people renovate it for you."
Under Jinx's guidance, Bai Yan toured the warehouse. Though a bit dilapidated, it was fully equipped, and its doors were very sturdy—perfect for storing poultry.
"Good, I'm very satisfied. When will the live chickens arrive?"
Bai Yan nodded with a smile.
"About an hour later," Jinx followed behind Bai Yan and explained, "considering the large quantity, I hope the Master understands."
A hint of apology graced Jinx's pretty face.
Bai Yan looked at his watch—it was 2 p.m. There was still time.
"I'll wait here then."
An hour later, several trucks arrived at the warehouse, and dozens of workers began unloading ten thousand live chickens, taking about two hours to settle them all.
The workers' supervisor approached with a smile, saying to Jinx, "Beautiful lady, the metal cages and other facilities for housing the chickens are our gift to you."
"Thank you."
Jinx nodded gracefully, making the payment for the live chickens.
"Not bad."
Bai Yan nodded with satisfaction, glad to have these facilities to prevent the chickens from hopping around the warehouse.
Once the workers left, Bai Yan instructed Jinx, "Watch the outside door, don't let anyone disturb me."
"Yes, Master."
Jinx nodded with utmost respect and left the warehouse.
She knew the act of a Demon "feeding" was a solitary one; no one else was worthy of dining with a Demon.
With Jinx of the Blood Clan guarding outside, Bai Yan felt relatively at ease. Facing ten thousand clucking chickens in the warehouse, his pupils suddenly blackened, his eyes shimmering with an indescribable glow.
Excitement, cruelty, and a hint of anticipation.
How much demonic energy would such a massive sacrifice bring him?
It was Bai Yan's first time conducting a mass sacrifice, and he was full of expectations.
Opening the System, Bai Yan discovered a headache-inducing issue. Previously, when he sacrificed a black thug or a Demon Hunter, he would manually grab them into the System's light screen. But there were ten thousand live chickens here!
If he had to catch them one by one, how long would that take?
At that moment of bewilderment, the System emitted a series of beeps, "Beep beep beep, a large number of living creatures detected. Inquiring whether the host agrees to proceed with the sacrifice."
"Agreed."
Bai Yan silently consented in his mind.
"Swipe!"
With Bai Yan's confirmation command issued, a blood-red light emitted from his pupils. The light rose to the ceiling of the warehouse and descended, forming a red semi-transparent dome that enclosed all ten thousand live chickens.
A minute later, all the chickens disappeared, collected by the System onto the Demon Altar.
Bai Yan flicked open the System screen and saw that the Demon Altar, seemingly small in size, did not appear crowded even with ten thousand chickens.
The group of chickens seemed to have been shrunk, tightly packed on the Demon Altar.
What a miraculous System!
"The sacrifice begins!"
Bai Yan gave the order with a solemn voice.
Dark energies of the Demon surged from the pitch-black altar, entwining with blood-red glows; under the wicked influence of the Abyss, ten thousand live chickens were transformed into a vast amount of blood, seeping into the mysterious patterns and Array on the surface of the altar.
The eerie and cryptic patterns of the altar began to emit a black faint light, drifting uncertainly like motes of dust. As the Array of the altar absorbed the essence blood of ten thousand live chickens, a torrent of black energy rose above the altar and spiraled away into nothingness.
Soon after, the notification sound of the System chimed in.
[Ding! Congratulations to the host, 5000 Demon Energy points have been acquired through the sacrifice of living beings.]
Bai Yan nodded in satisfaction; 5000 points of Demon Energy was significantly more than just tens or hundreds of points!
However, upon further contemplation, Bai Yan's brow furrowed.
On calculation, a single live chicken could only extract 0.5 point of Demon Energy in sacrifice. It seemed that different living beings offered varying amounts of Demon Energy when sacrificed.
Compared to the Demon Energy obtained from sacrificing bulls, stallions, pythons, or even humans, the amount provided by live chickens was far too little.
Nevertheless, there was no alternative for Bai Yan given his relatively weak position, where he had not yet established a firm foothold in either the Main Plane or the Abyss.
Eighteen thousand Australian dollars for 5000 points of Demon Energy might seem like a loss, but from Bai Yan's perspective, it was quite a worthwhile trade.
Bai Yan believed that as his power increased, the creatures he sacrificed would only grow stronger.
As long as he acquired more and more Demon Energy in the future, the benefits for Bai Yan would only multiply. Demon Energy could not only be used for defense but, most importantly, could be exchanged in the System Store for a wide array of Demon Talents, skills, and so on that Bai Yan needed.
The uses of Demon Energy were extensive; for instance, it could be used to congeal a Demon core. A single Demon core could transform Bai Yan's demonic identity into a more powerful "Demon Body," granting him tremendous strength instantly and control over the Rule Power of Demons!
But the amount of Demon Energy needed to congeal a single Demon core was exorbitantly high.
For the weakest Demon core, not only did Bai Yan need to possess command over some Rule Power, but he also required at least 10 million points of Demon Energy to form the core!
The greater the power, the more Demon Energy needed.
"What a pity, no evolution points were obtained."
Bai Yan sighed; these ten thousand chickens were too low-level. Even with their great numbers, sacrificing them did not grant him any evolution points.
At the moment, Bai Yan could only evolve by killing creatures of his own level, or those more powerful than himself.
Currently, Bai Yan possessed a total of 5155 points of Demon Energy.
He did not plan to use this Demon Energy yet; after all, Bai Yan was not intending to enter the Abyss Plane just now. There was no need to spend this Demon Energy prematurely. How to use this "wealth" was something Bai Yan felt he needed to carefully consider, to maximize his benefits.
By this time, the sky outside had completely darkened. Bai Yan looked at his watch, and it was already past 7 p.m.
He had been delayed here for too long and ought to get going.
Bai Yan stepped out of the warehouse, and Jinx was waiting obediently outside, the golden-haired beauty hadn't left at all.

"Let's go, let's head back."
Bai Yan gestured to Jinx.
Jinx's eyes lit up upon seeing Bai Yan coming out, her face breaking into a dazzling smile, seductive and enticing.
Jinx was very sensible; she didn't rashly inquire about the fate of the chickens, nor did she peek into the warehouse.
After getting in the car, Jinx thoughtfully asked, "Master, it's already evening, are you hungry? Would you like to come to my place? I'll go down on you."
With eyes like silk and tender red lips moist and appealing, Jinx seemed to be inviting and yielding to his will.
Go down?
Bai Yan glanced at Jinx and calmly replied, "No, back to the school."
He had promised to send An Xiaowan home and was already running late. He couldn't afford to waste more time.
"Oh, alright..."
A look of disappointment spread across Jinx's cute face, with a profound sense of defeat filling the heart of the golden-haired beauty.
Yet another failed temptation; her master was truly ruthless.
