Above The Sky-Chapter 1878 - 386: Questioning the Verdict of Celestial Law
Silverpeak Domain, Bison Mountain Range, Iron Dragon Nest.
Swirling dark clouds wrapped around the circular mountain range, forming a massive vortex, and only at the center of this vortex could the blinding light of the Calamity of Light pierce the clouds and shine on the very center of the nest.
Michael stood at the very center of the Iron Dragon Nest, bathing in sunlight. Around him radiated a light flame resembling clouds and mist, with visible plasma mist flowing like water, settling beneath his feet and forming a vast area seemingly made of solidified sunshine.
"This place is really quite nice."
Surveying the Iron Dragon Nest, Michael nodded slightly.
According to the writings of predecessors, if the Lineage of the Solar Deity Bird wishes to advance to the Fifth Energy Level, they need to go to outer space, to the area around Mercury Star, gather the brilliance of the sun from the center of its rings, and absorb the energy there to advance.
This so-called ’ritual’ essentially involves finding a stable and sufficiently powerful region, which Terra lacks, and only the First Planet of the Teyla Star Domain has suitable conditions.
However, now with the precursor of the Calamity of Light arriving, surging Life Essence and Origin Quality flood in, containing incredible energy. The Iron Dragon Nest is also an energy-gathering structure, which the Qing Steel Dragon, the True Dragon of the Fifth Energy Level, praised, making it more than sufficient for advancement from the Fourth Energy Level to the Fifth Energy Level.
Vaguely visible, the fully activated inner wall of the Iron Dragon Nest has huge and complex circuit patterns slowly flashing under strong light. It guides all the energy of the Calamity of Light in the surroundings, converging on Michael, causing his body to instinctively unfold a portion of the Aether True Body, which is represented by those almost materialized light mists.
Among these light mists, illusions appear frequently, the vast roaring sound of the solar storm can be faintly heard, and dazzling flares continuously bloom. The golden corona rises, sweeping like tentacles to the infinitely distant.
This is the memory within the Solar Phoenix Bloodline, where the Light Birds that roamed between stars and in the sun grew and thrived along with the motion of stars until they flew to other stars, embarking on what, to them, was not a long migration.
The entire galaxy is their home, is their nest and city. Those flesh and blood species or metal life forms settled on small planets are just like slow-growing fungi, akin to moss or mushrooms, unknowingly growing to cover a vast area. But if you want to observe them closely, it might just take one tour around the stars, and these creatures would disappear like illusions.
It is only at the Fifth Energy Level that one can truly be considered a Solar Phoenix.
Withdrawing his gaze from around the Iron Dragon Nest, Michael lowered his eyes to look at his hand.
This hand no longer possessed a solid form but was in some peculiar state between light and matter, seemingly a tangible force field containing vast aether. Liquid-like light flowed through the flesh’s veins, harbouring intense heat capable of incinerating all things.
But this is merely the ’fledgling’ Solar Phoenix.
In reality, Solar Phoenixes do not exist below the Fourth Energy Level; even their juveniles do not.
They are born mastering aether, with spirit and flesh united from birth, possessing a unique self. From their birth, they begin shaping their Aether True Body.
Only after the Aether True Body is shaped, they are considered born, and then they can be called ’fledglings’, mastering the ability of Phototransformation, able to migrate and play alongside their elders.
Yet, not many Solar Phoenixes truly grow into mature birds.
All Solar Phoenixes accumulate what can be described as incredible energy within the sun, but this does not constitute adulthood. Every Solar Phoenix will eventually lose control of their energy, suddenly self-destructing one day, resulting in a magnificent blooming flower on the sun... a powerful solar flare.
Life begins its reincarnation, and new Solar Phoenixes will be born.
Among them, most of the exploding Solar Phoenixes split into many smaller offspring, which is the process of reproduction.
However, some Solar Phoenixes do not split. On the contrary, they become stronger, able to control more and more energy, being reborn through explosion after explosion.
They sustain themselves, migrating and spreading their race across the cosmos.
Among them, what is different?
And this, Ian Silverpeak has already informed him, provided him with a conjecture.
That is immortality.
Every Solar Phoenix will undergo a cycle of accumulating energy and continuous explosions, but some Solar Phoenixes lack immortality, capable only of producing many new juvenile Solar Phoenixes, perpetuating the cycle.
But some of the strongest Solar Phoenixes can nurture immortality, subsequently undergoing nirvana and rebirth through cycles of energy accumulation and explosion.
They give birth to themselves, from ashes and fire, born once again.
Born as [Immortal Me].
Michael is not a true Solar Phoenix; he merely possesses the Solar Phoenix’s human traits, but he too must undergo the phoenix’s nirvana. This is why only a few among the Setal Imperial Family, unlike the Royal Court’s World-Devouring Wolves Bloodline, ’rebel’ for the throne, because to become the Fifth Energy Level, one must first die.
Without the Top Seat’s Blood, the most critical post-death rebirth cannot be completed—yet with the Top Seat’s Blood, why would there be any need to rebel?
