"Don’t underestimate her. She is now the Marquis of the Shen Mansion. In the future, she calls the shots here, and don’t think you can get any benefits!" Old Mrs. Xu spoke with unspeakable resentment and indignation.

The man paused at her words, remaining silent for quite a while before speaking in a low voice again.

Old Mrs. Xu appeared calm and collected, "Ruoxi, what are you looking for? What could possibly be here?"

Shen Ruoxi sneered, "What I’m looking for, you really don’t know?"

"Miss, there’s really nothing here." The maid knelt on the ground, repeatedly kowtowing.

"You wretch! Speak up, where’s that man hiding? I saw with my own eyes you opening the door for him, he entered this room!" Shen Ruoxi shouted angrily.

The maid trembled violently, shaking her head, "Miss, what are you talking about! There’s truly nobody here! Are you trying to wrongfully accuse this maid?"

Shen Ruoxi kicked the maid to the ground, "I saw it with my own eyes, how can it be false!"

Old Mrs. Xu, seeing this, began to feign pitifulness, "Ruoxi, you want to take charge of the family, when have I ever said anything against it? I never expected you to falsely accuse me of a capital crime at night.
