Abandoned Wife? Her Starlight Shall Blind You!-Chapter 189 - 131: Easing Insomnia Symptoms
Outside, Mi Yi’s face changed instantly when he heard his master’s cry of pain.
Inside, however, Ruoxi’s expression remained unchanged, her hands never ceasing as she continued to focus on massaging Jun Moling’s pressure points.
"Does it hurt, Prince?" she asked softly, her tone indifferent.
If Jun Moling weren’t so familiar with Ruoxi’s nature, he would certainly think she was exacting some form of revenge.
The pain was almost unbearable, even for someone as resilient as him.
"It doesn’t hurt," Jun Moling replied, inhaling sharply as he tried to endure the pain.
Ruoxi found it somewhat amusing, but remained serious. "It’s good that this point hurts. It means your insomnia is serious. I’ll press a little more, and I guarantee you’ll sleep well tonight."
By this time, Jun Moling could barely hear what she was saying; he only felt waves of pain sweeping over him.
Yet, once the pain subsided, there was a indescribable relief and a sensation of comfort across his entire body.
With her massage, his low groans came one after another, ceaselessly.
Mi Yi stood guard outside, almost petrified.
Could those groans really be coming from the master? What kind of situation was this?
The sound was mixed with pain, yet seemed to be filled with a certain pleasure, making Mi Yi blush to the ears.
Mi Yi really couldn’t bear to listen any longer, and fearing that Ruoxi’s maidservants would return and disturb the two inside, he decided to stand guard at the main gate.
After a round of relaxing and stretching, Ruoxi’s forehead was already covered in sweat.
She bent slightly, and asked softly, "Prince, how do you feel?"
Upon lowering her head, she was momentarily stunned to find that he had already fallen asleep.
A small smile crept onto Ruoxi’s lips, and she quietly tiptoed off the bed.
With nothing else to do for now, she picked up the unfinished wedding dress and started to embroider again.
It was the most expensive Cloud Brocade from the Colorful Weaving Workshop. Her sister-in-law had said it would be more meaningful to embroider it herself, given her excellent embroidery skills.
Since there was still plenty of time, she took her sister-in-law’s advice. 𝒇𝓻𝓮𝓮𝙬𝙚𝒃𝒏𝓸𝙫𝒆𝙡.𝓬𝓸𝒎
The colorful phoenix on the wedding dress was nearly complete, with only a few peony flowers left unfinished.
She glanced up at the person sleeping soundly on the bed and felt a kind of indescribable emotion sprouting in her heart.
With an inexplicable sigh, she reminded herself that love is a harmful thing, and so focused on embroidering.
She didn’t know how much time had passed before she was startled by arguing sounds outside the door.
After taking a look at the still-sleeping Jun Moling, she hurriedly got up and gently closed the room door.
As soon as she reached the courtyard entrance, Chuntao’s uniquely recognizable and particularly loud voice came over, "Who do you think you are, daring not to let us in?"
She and Xia Lian had also gone to Moon Lake.
To avoid disturbing their mistress and Prince Zhan during their private time, the two decided to go to the temple near Moon Lake to burn incense and pray.
The incense in the temple curled up with smoke, carrying their full devotion and wishes.
After burning incense, they came under the Mandarin Duck Tree, sincerely praying with their best hopes for their mistress and Prince Zhan.
Time quietly slipped away amidst their play, and by the time they returned, it was a bit late.
Their mistress, always forgiving, never forbade them from going out for fun, so they harbored no worry.
However, upon returning to the courtyard, they were blocked by a man with a build like an iron tower.
Xia Lian was full of confusion, but the quick-tempered Chuntao couldn’t care about much else.
This was her mistress’s courtyard; how could an outsider have the nerve to stop them!
Mi Yi patiently explained, "Ladies, it’s because my master is inside resting, please don’t disturb them."
Upon hearing this, Chuntao’s heart skipped a beat. Here in broad daylight, their mistress and Prince Zhan were alone in the same room, and they weren’t even married yet!
So, the two wanted to rush in carelessly, but just then they heard Ruoxi’s low voice, "You two are back."
"Miss, he won’t let Xia Lian and me in," Chuntao quickly complained.
Mi Yi hurriedly saluted Ruoxi, "Subordinate greets Marquis Shen, where is my master?"
"He’s asleep, don’t disturb him. You two go wash up, then head to the kitchen for something to eat. I’ve had them save meals for you, after eating you can return to your rooms and rest," Ruoxi said indifferently.
Seeing their mistress unharmed, the two maidservants quickly responded with an "Yes."
Before leaving, Chuntao gave Mi Yi a fierce glare, then dragged Xia Lian off to wash up and eat.
"The master has actually fallen asleep?" Mi Yi was full of shock.
You should know, his master was always unyielding, and a mere pot of wine was nothing to him, how could he just fall asleep like that?
Moreover, having followed his master for fifteen years, his master never had a habit of taking a nap.
Ruoxi explained, "I massaged his pressure points, he fell asleep, no need to worry."
Understanding at last, Mi Yi felt embarrassed at having his concerns revealed, and quickly said, "Subordinate was not worried."
Ruoxi smiled slightly, "Suit yourself."
Mi Yi hurriedly responded, "Subordinate complies."
When Ruoxi returned to the room, Jun Moling was still sleeping, his breathing even and steady, as if he hadn’t slept so soundly in a long time.
Ruoxi quietly walked to the table, continuing to embroider her bright red wedding dress.
Time flowed slowly as the needle and thread moved, at first she didn’t notice anything unusual.
But when she accidentally looked up, she was startled to realize that Jun Moling had somehow woken up, sitting not far away on a stool, holding his chin with his hands, quietly watching her embroidering the wedding dress.
Ruoxi felt caught off guard by this sudden attention, and even though she usually remained calm, here she was embroidering the wedding dress meant for her future husband, feeling somewhat embarrassed.
She quickly stood up, naturally put the wedding dress into the wardrobe, then turned to Jun Moling and asked softly, "Prince, are you awake?"
Jun Moling stood up slowly, taking her hand in his.
In fact, what he wanted to say was, you don’t need to work so hard.
However, an inexplicable sense of happiness rose in his heart, making him feel as if everything was perfect at this moment, to the point that those words were stuck in his throat.
Ruoxi didn’t understand the emotions growing in him as he watched her embroidering the wedding dress, seeing him only holding her hand and looking puzzled, she asked, "Prince? What’s the matter?"
Jun Moling pulled her to sit with him, gently rubbing the calluses on her palm.
Her hands, unlike other women’s, weren’t smooth. Though they had been well cared for over many days, they still felt somewhat rough, and it stirred a wave of sympathy in his heart.
To him, a woman like her should be cherished, held on a pedestal.
"Once you marry into the Prince Mansion, you’ll be the highest. You can sleep as long as you want, eat whatever you want." His voice was very gentle.
Having lost his parents at a young age, he indeed avoided much trouble between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law.
Recalling those two years in the Xiao family, his mother-in-law was decent enough. But with Old Mrs. Xiao causing many problems, life was truly difficult.
"The Prince really won’t mind, aren’t you afraid I’ll wreck the place?" Ruoxi said with an upturned corner of her mouth, her eyes full of laughter.
Jun Moling shook his head without hesitation, "Not afraid, if anything in the mansion displeases you, feel free to dismantle it, I have only two words—support you."
His indulgence for her was unreserved, and this goodness already made her satisfied.
She shouldn’t be too greedy, at least his character was upright, and he absolutely wouldn’t bring home a pregnant woman like Xiao Chengyi.
Moreover, she knew well if he liked someone, he’d be honest with her, so there was no need for her to worry about that.
"Jun Moling, why are you so good to me?"
Ruoxi’s eyes were gentle like water, tilting her head, looking at him with extreme focus as she asked.
