A Madman in Love-Chapter 80
Maybe it had been arrogance.
To push away a man who loved her so desperately, to hurt him while claiming with such conviction that she would never love him back—what a pathetic display of pride.
A love she had hidden in the pages of her diary, kept a secret even from herself.
A love she had never dared to acknowledge.
"I love you."
Finally, Suin was honest.
A love she had thought would wither like an unbloomed flower—now, it had finally blossomed.
"I love you, Seo Jaehee."
***
The first I love you made his heart lurch.
The second I love you sent a shiver down his spine.
And yet, he didn’t stop.
As if he hadn’t heard her, he kept moving, his thrusts deep and relentless.
If anything, he became rougher—pounding into her as if he meant to crush her, to break her apart completely.
Thrust.
"Aah!"
Suin trembled violently, her cry ripping from her throat.
She clung to him, afraid that if she let go, she might fall away.
Gritting her teeth in frustration, she shouted directly into his ear.
"I said I love you!"
A chuckle slipped through Jaehee’s clenched teeth.
He had been slamming into her with reckless force, but at her words, his movements slowed. His gaze locked onto her face, watching her pant for air.
"Why did you pretend not to hear me?"
Suin glared at him, accusatory.
Jaehee’s eyes, warm and piercing, filled with something she couldn’t quite place.
The corner of his lips curled up.
"Because I hated you."
And then, he pushed in even deeper.
The sheer depth of it sent Suin’s head tilting back in a long, breathy gasp.
Jaehee lowered his lips to her exposed throat.
His kiss on her chin was gentle, tender. Her lips parted, her fingers brushing damp strands of his hair.
"Were you really that angry?"
"Of course. I hated you so much, I wanted to swallow you whole and keep you inside me forever."
His tone was low, dark.
The cruelty in his voice made Suin narrow her eyes at him.
"That’s terrifying."
She mumbled the words, pouting slightly.
Still, she lifted her head from the sheets—
And found his lips.
A soft, sweet kiss. A slow, teasing drag of her lips against his before she murmured,
"I’ll make it up to you. I’ll repent."
"For how long?"
His voice, thick with desire, rumbled against her.
Suin let her tongue flick along his lower lip. She parted her mouth slightly, tilting her head as she whispered,
"For a lifetime."
A slow, satisfied grin spread across his face.
Their lips met again—deeper this time, hungrier.
As he claimed her mouth, Jaehee tightened his arms around her waist, lifting her into his lap.
The shift in angle sent a violent tremor through her body.
"Ah…"
Her entire body shuddered.
Jaehee held her tighter. As their bodies fully aligned, the overwhelming fullness sent sparks of heat shooting through her.
Her brow furrowed.
Jaehee, watching her intently, began to move again—slowly this time.
"Isoooin."
"…Yeah."
I love the way you frown.
"Isoooin."
"…Say something else."
I love the way you act like you don’t care but always do.
"Isoooin."
"Ugh, just say it already."
I love the way you get annoyed.
"I love you."
And as he finally whispered it, he swallowed her frustrated breath with a deep, searing kiss.
Suin opened for him completely, meeting his tongue with equal fervor.
Her arms tightened around his neck, holding him as close as she could, showing him without hesitation just how much she wanted him.
It was liberating.
To love him openly.
To not have to hide anymore.
To be able to hold him without reservation.
Slap. Slap.
Their bodies rocked together, the sound of skin meeting skin punctuated by gasps and muffled moans.
The rhythm was slow but deep, each movement sending waves of pleasure through her, making her toes curl.
Before long, their bodies were drenched in sweat, the heat between them searing.
The sound of their movements filled the room—wet, obscene, impossibly intimate.
The intensity only grew.
Splash. Splash.
The waves of sensation crashed down on them, drowning them in each other.
"Ha… ha…"
Suin's arm, which had been gripping Jaehee’s nape tightly with a bent elbow, loosened.
As her upper body tilted back, she arched her waist fluidly, naturally pressing against him. Jaehee immediately caught her lower back with both hands, securing her as he thrust forward.
There wasn’t even a sliver of space between them.
“Ah, Seo Jaehee.”
“Suin-ah.”
They called out to each other in unison.
It was overwhelming.
Though, there wasn’t even time to savor that emotion before they began to crush each other as if they wanted to destroy one another.
They were about to lose themselves in madness once more.
As if today was the only day they had left to live, they raced toward each other's climax.
It would probably take a whole week to make up for all they hadn’t had.
Thud! Thud!
Squish.
Their love was violent.
Lewd noises erupted from where their bodies met, filling the space, unrelenting and insatiable. They took each other with intensity and held on just as fiercely.
This was what their love was like.
From the very beginning.
It had always been so passionate that it was almost unbearable, so desperate that it was incomparable to anything else in the world.
“I love you.”
“I love you.”
And so, they reached their climax together.
Suin’s moans, high and breathless, mixed with Jaehee’s low, husky voice, their sounds entangling as if intertwined in the same melody.
“……!”
A shudder ran through both their joined bodies at the same time.
Jaehee’s sweat dripped onto Suin’s chest, and Suin’s hot breath scattered across his forehead.
Clench.
Jaehee collapsed onto her trembling body, his weight sinking against her. Suin, feeling like she might explode from the heat pooling in her chest, wrapped her arms around him completely, holding him close.
A profound sense of fulfillment swelled between them.
Ah.
Love.
It was utterly perfect.
***
The soft, white morning light seeped into the room, disturbing her sleep.
Suin forced open her heavy eyelids, still drowsy, and groped at Jaehee’s broad chest absentmindedly before reaching backward to grab her phone.
The moment she dimly read the time—
She panicked.
“It's eight o’clock!”
After indulging in each other all night, making up for lost time, they had dozed off at dawn. It seemed she had turned off the alarm in her sleep.
“Kwon Intern even tried to contact me!”
—Chief, since Executive Director Seo has been discharged, will you be coming into work today? Should I come pick you up?
She hurriedly typed out a reply.
Damn, what if Kwon Jongin had already left…?
—I’ll be the one to bring him in.
“Oh. Sneaky quick thinking.”
Jaehee smirked as he peeked at her phone screen over her shoulder.
There was no time to argue with him.
Suin jumped out of bed and dashed to the bathroom, immediately starting to brush her teeth.
—Understood.
She checked Jongin’s response while scrubbing her teeth furiously, then turned and smacked Jaehee’s back without hesitation.
“Move your ass already!”
“Ah!”
Smack!
With a loud slap, Jaehee flinched before sluggishly rolling out of bed like a lazy caterpillar.
A red handprint remained starkly on his back as he strolled toward the bathroom. But just as he was about to step inside, he turned back and gave her a look.
“How about we take the morning off?”
He wiggled his fingers in invitation, clearly suggesting they shower together.
Whoosh!
Suin threw a pillow at him.
***
They had almost been late.
In their rush, they barely managed to check out of the hotel and made it to work just in time.
Jaehee was particularly pleased about keeping the hotel room under his name.
“Executive Director! It’s such a relief to see you recovered!”
Kwon Jongin looked deeply moved by Jaehee’s safe return to work.
Now, the remaining challenge was Suin’s problem.
Her colleagues and juniors had been trying to convince her not to resign, but she had been adamant about quitting. And yet, overnight, that decision had completely changed.
‘How do I explain this to the secretary team?’
—Chief, the Chairwoman is calling for you.
While contemplating, she kept revising and deleting a [notice] message for the secretary group chat when she received a message from Hyun Jiye.
Suin handed off Jaehee’s stack of pending approval documents to Jongin and headed straight for the Chairwoman’s office.
Woo Ilhwa took that burden off her shoulders.
“Actually, I never processed your resignation. If convincing you had failed, I might’ve had no choice, but for now, I held onto it.”
“…I see.”
“So, let’s just tell the secretarial team that I begged you to stay. You can say you were reluctantly roped back in.”
“…Thank you.”

Suin smiled softly, touched by the gesture.
The cracks in their relationship, which had seemed irreparable, had vanished completely.
Instead, through this ordeal, they had only grown closer.
“I just helped you save face.”
“Yes. I’ll repay you.”
“Let’s call it even. But there’s a condition.”
