A Low Rank Female Goes Viral Across the Galaxy-Chapter 77: First Meeting
Seeing the two sisters were a bit on edge, Jiang Qin comforted them, "We were invited here, not begging for a favor. There’s no need to feel uncomfortable."
"Miss Jiang, are we embarrassing you?"
Xie Lili asked uneasily.
Like Xie An’an, her Half-beastman features were her ears.
Both girls had a pair of leopard ears, and a leopard tail swayed behind each of them.
Their skin had a brownish tone.
"Not at all. I think you’re very cute."
Hearing this, Xie Lili finally relaxed a little.
It wasn’t that she truly felt ashamed of being a Half-beastman, but rather that she was afraid Jiang Qin would mind.
As long as Jiang Qin didn’t mind, she felt she had the confidence to stand tall.
Compared to Xie An’an’s straightforward nature, Xie Lili tended to think more deeply. She knew very well that only by satisfying Jiang Qin could they truly escape their old way of life.
So her only goal now was to become Jiang Qin’s most capable assistant!
It had to be said, Xie Lili was truly competent.
Xie An’an was also great, but she focused more on meticulously taking care of Jiang Qin’s daily needs.
But Xie Lili could manage her accounts, filter private messages, and liaise with the Ancient Research Institute. She could handle all of it.
Moreover, she even knew how to set up a recording studio and was familiar with installing and calibrating various pieces of equipment.
Jiang Qin had known since the day of the interview that Xie Lili had come prepared.
Even before it was certain that Jiang Qin would hire another assistant, Xie Lili must have already been studying these things on the Star Network.
She did it all in the hopes of seizing an opportunity should one arise.
After all, in Xie Lili’s eyes, Jiang Qin was the only female she was familiar with who didn’t discriminate against Half-beastmen.
Although Xie An’an wouldn’t normally reveal things about Jiang Qin to outsiders, her sheer adoration for Jiang Qin was enough for one to guess that she was an easygoing female.
So once she had set her goal, Xie Lili worked hard to achieve it.
This was something Jiang Qin greatly admired. 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦
’She’s a lot like my old self, always learning a bit of everything whenever there was a chance.’

After waiting for about five minutes, a young male came down from the upper floors of the Tianwen Entertainment Headquarters.
He glanced around before walking enthusiastically toward Jiang Qin and her group.
"Excuse me, are you Jiang Qin, Miss Jiang?
"Brother Lan asked me to bring you upstairs to wait for a bit. He’s still in a meeting and needs a little more time before he can get away."
"The meeting was supposed to end half an hour ago," he explained, "but something unexpected came up, so it was delayed."
Jiang Qin nodded in understanding.
’That makes sense. Why would Lan Yuyan schedule a meeting at a time when he wasn’t free?’
’He couldn’t possibly be trying to put me in my place, right? He doesn’t seem like that kind of person.’
’So he just got held up in a meeting.’
"It’s alright, we can wait upstairs. We’re not in a hurry today."
"That’s good. I’m so sorry about this. Brother Lan will end the meeting as soon as he can."
Jiang Qin nodded. "And you are Minister Lan’s...?"
"Oh, look at me! I was so excited to see you that I forgot to introduce myself. I’m Brother Lan’s assistant. You can just call me Xiao Zheng.
"I’m actually one of your fans. I especially love your song, ’As Wished’."
"Thank you for your support," Jiang Qin replied politely.
The group followed Xiao Zheng into the elevator and went up to the eighth floor.
During the ride, Xiao Zheng made conversation with everyone. It had to be said that the atmosphere was quite pleasant; at the very least, Jiang Qin didn’t feel like she was being slighted.
And it seemed Xiao Zheng really was her fan. He would sneak glances at her from time to time, his ears turning red.
"This is Brother Lan’s office. Miss Jiang, please have a seat. I’ll go get someone to bring some drinks over."
As for snacks and such, you’d only find those at high-end restaurants. The company didn’t have that sort of thing.
The Federation’s drinks were also very mediocre, tasting like water sweetened with industrial saccharin.
After Xiao Zheng left, the tense Xie An’an finally let out a sigh of relief and remarked, "That Mr. Zheng is so talkative."
"You’re just too nervous," Xie Lili teased her with a smile.
"Of course I’m nervous! This is the Main Star!"
Jiang Qin also chuckled softly and looked out the window.
She hadn’t been to the Main Star in her previous life, either.
She had originally thought that Langor City, as the main city of a Second-class planet, was already quite prosperous and probably similar to the main cities on other planets.
She never expected the difference to be so vast.
The main city of the Main Star was simply called Central City.
You could say this was the capital of the Federation, inhabited by the rich and powerful.
And yet, You Wei was preparing to open his new bar on this city’s most bustling night-time street. One could only imagine the extraordinary power he had backing him.
Jiang Qin didn’t probe into his background, though. ’Since he didn’t bring it up, he probably doesn’t want to talk about it.’
She had heard from Uncle Kang before that his relationship with his family wasn’t great.
The main issue was a difference in philosophy.
But his father only had one son, You Wei, so he desperately wanted You Wei to take over his business.
No one could accept the empire they’d spent a lifetime building falling into someone else’s hands.
If You Wei was incapable of succeeding him, his father would likely choose to cultivate one of the children You Wei’s mother had with her other partners.
But who would be willing to raise the child of a rival in love?
The Interstellar Law stipulated a system of one female to multiple males, but that didn’t mean all the males could truly get along like blood brothers.
They just maintained a superficial peace in front of the female.
That was why You Wei’s father was pressuring him to take over his business.

CLICK—
After half an hour, Jiang Qin finally heard the door open.
She turned to look.
Her first impression was one of utter astonishment.
The man who entered had long, wavy, aqua-blue hair, gentle eyes, and wore a pair of gold-rimmed glasses.
He was wearing a silver-white Interstellar Combat Suit that was perfectly tailored to his figure.
This style of clothing was standard issue for practically all Interstellar People. It was only because Jiang Qin had the Sewing Machine Patch that her wardrobe had become so diverse.
Today, she was wearing a white, wide-sleeved blouse with knotted frog buttons, paired with a black mamian skirt. Her hair was coiled up with a wooden hairpin, with just a single lock left to drape down from behind her left ear.
Lan Yuyan was equally stunned by Jiang Qin.
Although he often saw Jiang Qin’s videos on the Star Network, nothing compared to seeing her in person.
The Jiang Qin on the Star Network was beautiful, yes, but she lacked the unique aura the real person possessed.
He found it hard to describe. All he could say was that she was a female whose mere presence could soothe a rampaging spirit.
’It feels like speaking to her even a little too loudly would make me seem incredibly vulgar.’
As for Jiang Qin, she felt that this Minister Lan was the most handsome man she had seen in her three lifetimes.
Shi Lichuan was also handsome, but he was the cute type, always giving her the feeling of a younger brother.
But Minister Lan was different. Though his features were gentle, his presence was overwhelmingly intense.
He was the kind of person you couldn’t possibly ignore just by him standing there.
"It’s a pleasure to finally meet you, Miss Jiang. I’m Lan Yuyan." Lan Yuyan was the first to speak, extending a hand with a smile.
Jiang Qin reached out and shook it. "Hello."
The small hand in his was a little cool, delicate, and soft, making Lan Yuyan’s heart skip a beat.
