A Husband For Killer Mom-Chapter 201 - 201 Ch. 201 The Game Is Almost Ended
201 Ch. 201 The Game Is Almost Ended
“What is it? Why is she crying?” Chleo was startled to see a teenage girl hiding on Kendrich’s back—sobbing and wetting the man’s tuxedo.
“It’s nothing to worry about. She only touched someone. Sister Chleo, I’ll take her home now. Please send my regards to the twins.”
“Sure. But I don’t know what they were thinking right now. They played that ridiculous game.”
Kendrich smiled at that. “I have to get her back to New York—my mom was already apprehensive about her. Next time, please let us know in advance if she followed you here.”
“Duh... we only know when she showed up in our mansion this morning. You know what kind of ability she had. Never mind, see you in New York.”
Kendrich smiled back at his cousin and then clumsily tried to turn around and let the teenage girl grip the back of her tuxedo. Seeing the two people leave the room heading out made Chleo smile amused.
“I never expected Kenken to fall in love with a descendant of our enemy.”
“Who said that child is our enemy? That kid is too good to be our enemy.”
“I said a descendant, my dear.” corrected Chleo patiently. “Poor Kenken, he will have to wait a few more months before that girl reaches adulthood.”
.....
“Hmm. He had been waiting for two years. At least he doesn’t have to wait as long as I await your birth.” Axelard hugged his wife’s waist tenderly while brushing his nose against the tiny nose of the woman he adored making Chleo laugh out loud. free𝚠𝚎𝚋𝒏𝚘ѵ𝐞l.𝑐om
It was already ten o’clock in the evening, and everything was going on as usual, except… something had been bothering Anxia’s mind for the last few hours. Richard noticed his wife’s change in demeanor, becoming more withdrawn, and wanted to approach the girl to find out what was troubling her.
However, their game wasn’t over, so he had to restrain himself from running toward his wife and continue his role in this game. After all, he didn’t need to worry about intruders breaking into Heinest’s mansion. Even if an intruder managed to break in, this bad guy couldn’t do anything openly.
His daughter and nephew had been closely guarded by his bodyguards—his eyes were always on the lookout for her family. Not to mention, Axelard also placed several men to protect Chleo and others. Not to say, with Kendrich’s help…
Richard just realized that his cousin was no longer in this place. Why did Kendrich go straight home without greeting him? Since when did the young man arrive in England, and how long will he stay in England?
He missed his adventures with the young man in his school days. Every time the summer breaks started, Kendrich went to Europe to travel with him and Raymond, whether climbing mountains or exploring the tropical forests and sailing across the ocean using his father’s sailing ship.
At first, he had hoped that Kendrich would at least greet him because he was curious whether the young man could still tell Raymond apart from him or not. The last time they played this game was seven years ago—since Raymond married Michele. It would be very troublesome if Michele thought Richard was her husband and treated Raymond like an older brother because she thought Raymond was Richard.
When the last performance was over, Leonard Heinest clinked glasses with a silver spoon to attract the guests’ attention. The man thanked them all for coming and gave the word or two to close the day.
Richard and Raymond glanced at each other and smiled broadly. Once the event ends, with neither Andrew nor Harmonie can guess them, they would win.
However, just when they thought they would win, Harmonie and Andrew suddenly appeared before them.
“I want to speak with you alone,” Andrew said to one of them.
“And I want to talk to you,” stated Harmonie as she pulled her other brother’s hand away from the twin and walked out of the room into a very long corridor.
Seeing that Harmonie managed to keep one of the twins away, Andrew smiled at the remaining twins.
“Are you guys going to start guessing who we are?” asked Richard / Raymond in an even, expressionless tone.
Andrew stood next to the man, then put his arm around his shoulder, leading him out of the room and into the hall opposite Harmonie’s direction.
An eyebrow from Richard / Raymond rose to see Andrew refusing to speak, leading him away from the crowd. When they arrived at a large room that was a relaxing room for reading books or listening to classical music, Andrew let go of his embrace and walked ahead.
Andrew rolled up his sleeve showing a digital watch wrapped around his wrist. Seeing the two points close to each other made him smile widely until it reached his eyes.
“You are Richard, while the other one with Raymond right now is Raymond.”
Richard’s brows furrowed, not at all pleased to hear the answer said in a triumphant tone.
On the other hand, Harmonie also looked at the digital watch similar to the one Andrew was wearing and saw two dots far apart. One was on top, while the other was in her position.
“I already know the answer. You are Rei, while Richie is currently with Andrew.”
“…”
If one could hear an inner voice, one could listen to the confused, disbelieving screams of Calvin’s twins.
‘How did they know that?!’
Richard squinted his eyes at Andrew suspiciously, then fumbled in his tuxedo pocket as if he was looking for something. When he found a foreign object in his tuxedo pocket, Richard took it and glanced at the tiny black thing with a sarcastic smile.
“I don’t believe this. Someone managed to put a tracking device in my tux. Who is it?”
Richard remembered the time he danced with Michele in the ballroom. Even though the girl’s movements were subtle, Richard could still feel her hand extending downwards in what he thought was a regular movement.
Who would have thought that girl was inserting a tracking device into his tuxedo pocket?!
‘Don’t tell me... it was their plan??’ Richard didn’t know whether he should be proud or cry. But he had to admit; the idea originator had out smarted him this time.
