A Blind Swordsman's Sword Coffin-Chapter 583 -Tier-Seven Demon Hunting
Ye Feng shot Cao Yan a look and approached Meng Wanshu, transmitting, “Sister-in-law, if you need something done, maybe I could go.”
Meng Wanshu shook her head. It had to be her. No one else here was capable.
Li Guanqi was still lacking two materials to create an illusory body: the blood from a demon’s heart and a beast core of sufficient power.
Ye Feng looked at her wistfully but did not argue. He simply added, “Just let us know if there’s anything you need help with.”
Meng Wanshu said, “Help me watch him. Tell him he has to suppress it until I’m back.”
Lu Kangnian and the rest exchanged worried glances.
Buzz!
Powerful ice vital force spread from her body, flattening the ground within a radius of two chi around the ice lotus. More energy poured into the lotus, mixing with the spirit qi from the spirit stones below. The vital force condensed into a translucent spirit liquid that flowed across the cave room’s floor.
Meng Wanshu’s aura was weakening rapidly. For her powerful aura to fade so fast, the spirit liquid beneath the ice lotus had to contain an unfathomable amount of vital force.
She took out three pills and swallowed them, and her aura stabilized. Everyone sighed in relief as the vital force fluctuations in Li Guanqi’s body calmed. Meng Wanshu lifted her palms from his back. Her hands were a bloody mess, bone visible beneath the shredded flesh.
She was relieved. Li Guanqi couldn’t control the lightning bursting from his body, so she didn’t blame him. Even Ye Feng couldn’t bear to look at her injuries. Her fair, slender hands had been reduced to strips of flesh clinging to white bone. Despite this, she merely frowned, her face a shade paler than usual.
When she stood up, she felt a wave of dizziness and stumbled, nearly falling off the ice lotus. Lu Kangnian reacted quickly. An invisible force caught her.
Sun Miao waited outside the cave, a dozen jade bottles of various sizes cradled in his arms. Inside them were all his best pills.
Lu Kangnian opened the door, and Sun Miao hurried in. He was about to hand over the bottles when he looked up and saw Meng Wanshu produce a box of purple crystal. The moment she opened it, a rich medicinal scent filled the entire cave.
She took out a pill the size of a quail’s egg. The milk-white pill glowed faintly, its surface covered in countless intricate patterns.
Sun Miao froze, his mouth twitching, then tossed every one of his jade bottles out the door.
“Eh? Old Sun, what are you doing? Why did you toss the pills away?!”
Sun Miao huffed. “They’re not going to be useful! Miss Meng just pulled out a tier-six pill like it was nothing! What am I supposed to offer after that?”
He shook his head. “She’s rich... She’s so damn rich...”
Meng Wanshu’s hands healed quickly. Still breathing hard, she turned and nodded at the group. She bowed to Lu Kangnian. “Senior Lu, I’ll leave the rest to you all.”
Lu Kangnian gave her a firm nod. “Don’t worry, Miss Meng. I’ll take good care of him.”
Ye Feng and the others nodded. Only Tian Yuan stood patiently outside. He couldn’t care less about the others, but he knew that Li Guanqi and Meng Wanshu were people he could never afford to offend. He kept his head bowed, eyes on the ground.
As Meng Wanshu turned to leave, Li Guanqi’s eyelids trembled. A vein on his neck bulged, but he didn’t open his eyes.
Nine Heavens, who had been coiled around his wrist, flew to hers. Peng Luo appeared and walked up to her. She frowned. “You should stay.”
Peng Luo shook his head. “I won’t be useful here. It’s better for me to follow you, Mistress.”
Meng Wanshu glanced up at Li Guanqi, touched. She could feel his concern for her.
She let Peng Luo settle on her shoulder and disappeared from the sect grounds along with Tian Yuan.
Once she left the Daxia Sword Sect, her usual cold demeanor returned. “Are there any tier-seven lightning-type demons near the Daxia Sword Sect?”
Tian Yuan’s eyes widened. “Please wait a moment. I’ll have someone check right away!”
She nodded. He’ll have the Annihilation Lightning Spirit as his basal physique and the Lightning Dragon Flame as his companion flame. It’ll be difficult to make him a resilient illusory body without a tier-seven demon’s blood. A beast core will help smooth the process.
Meng Wanshu bit her lip. Even she thought Li Guanqi had bitten off more than he could chew this time.
Soon, Tian Yuan returned with an awkward expression.
Meng Wanshu frowned. “Just spit it out.”
Tian Yuan gritted his teeth. “There’s one, but it’s too dangerous. Miss Meng, why don’t you wait for an elder from your sect? Or let the Heavenly Intelligence Pavilion send the pavilion master to help you...”
Meng Wanshu refused. “No way! We can’t delay this any longer. Just tell me where it is!”
Tian Yuan’s expression shifted from fear to resignation. He couldn’t convince her. He handed her a jade slip. “According to Heavenly Intelligence Pavilion intel, a Crimson Lightning Lion just broke through to tier seven.”
“Where is it?”
“It’s in a forbidden area of the Black Tortoise Continent... Heavenly Massacre Sea!”
She took the jade slip expressionlessly, and the storage ring on her finger erupted with powerful spatial ripples. A column of ice-blue light, ten zhang wide, appeared in midair.
Rrrrip!
A long tear formed from the powerful spatial force. The light became a transcontinental transport array. 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺
Meng Wanshu said calmly, “Give me the coordinates of the Heavenly Massacre Sea.”
Buzz!
The array lit up brightly, and she vanished into the light. The tunnel disappeared with her.
Tian Yuan stared, mouth hanging open. He swallowed hard. “A portable transcontinental transport array... She really is the daughter of the Divine Treasure territory lord. The treasures she carries around are probably worth as much as the Heavenly Intelligence Pavilion’s entire collection.”
He muttered, “Why didn’t Meng Jiangchu show up after such a serious incident?”
Buzz!
A tear opened silently beside him, and a man in white robes and a conical hat stepped out. His voice was cold enough to make Tian Yuan shiver. “Some things are better left unknown.”
Cold sweat covered Tian Yuan’s forehead. He hurriedly turned to the man. “Yes, sir!”
