A Blind Swordsman's Sword Coffin-Chapter 510 - Soup?
Li Guanqi let out a long sigh. He remained aggrieved by what had happened. He hadn’t expected He Yuning to end up hurt because of him.
He turned to the elder with a small nod. “Elder Chu, how did you learn about the situation here?”
Chu Jingze chuckled bitterly and pointed at Ye Feng, who stood far away with his arms crossed, at the edge of Nine Heavens’ tribulation. “Your good friend over there used a Camouflage Bee, but the Heavenly Intelligence Pavilion still detected it. That’s how I learned Miss Meng’s arrival wasn’t the only reason the Central Prefecture’s barrier had been activated.”
Li Guanqi’s eyes flashed. “It was Brother Ye?”
Chu Jingze nodded. “Little Ye Feng is also one of the Heavenly Intelligence Pavilion’s key foci. Because of you, we’ve been trying to track him down as well. We received intel about the Camouflage Bee, and that’s when I learned of this whole incident.”
Li Guanqi nodded silently. Everything had been so coincidental. Meng Wanshu was shocked too, but the more she thought about it, the more she hated He Yuanting for what he had done.
Rumble!
Nine Heavens didn’t wait quietly for the heavenly tribulation to strike. The dragon shot up into the clouds, stirring them with its body and facing the lightning head-on. Terrifying roars filled the air as it bared its fangs at the heavens.
The agitated dragon was even more direct than Li Guanqi, swallowing the lightning-filled clouds with its open mouth.
Ye Feng sighed in relief when he saw them approaching.
Those hiding their auras and watching from the shadows immediately fled. Chu Jingze was an early Combined Body Realm cultivator, someone in the upper echelons of the six territories. Being caught spying on him was a death sentence.
Chu Jingze pulled out his wine gourd, took a swig, and watched Nine Heavens with bright eyes. He turned to Li Guanqi. “A true dragon... What a rare sight.”
Li Guanqi immediately picked up on his choice of words. “Rare... but not impossible?”
Chu Jingze merely gave a mysterious smile.
Even though the Nine Heavens’ heavenly tribulation was terrifying, it wasn’t as challenging as it seemed. The dragon was drenched in blood, yet its eyes were bright and its aura remained strong.
Terrifying lightning snaked around its body, but it continued to swallow it all. Its scales had all recovered to their original form, shining with tiny electrical arcs.
In the end, Nine Heavens stood tall in the air and unleashed a roar at the cloud-filled sky.
Roar!
The roar traveled a hundred li, and the clouds began to disperse. Nine Heavens’ aura strengthened even further.
Ye Feng pursed his lips and eyed Li Guanqi resentfully. “I want one too.”
Li Guanqi punched his shoulder playfully and laughed. “Get out.”
Ye Feng wasn’t upset by his response. He looked at Li Guanqi, then suddenly threw his arms open.
They hugged. No words were spoken. There was no need for words in brotherhood.
Ye Feng knew that if he was ever in danger, Li Guanqi would still come to save him, even if it meant death.
Meng Wanshu watched quietly, a smile on her face. She felt that Li Guanqi had gathered some very good people around him.
Nine Heavens shook its tail and slowly descended in front of Li Guanqi. Its head was larger than Li Guanqi’s entire body, but it still squinted and nudged him with its snout, as if seeking attention.
Looking at the gigantic dragon, Li Guanqi petted its head gently. A flicker of suppressed killing intent passed through his eyes.
“Boss, what are we doing next?” Ye Feng asked.
Li Guanqi took Meng Wanshu’s hand and leaped onto Nine Heavens’ head with her. Standing atop the dragon, he gazed into the distance. “Let’s go to the Great Profound Sword Sect!”
Ye Feng tied his luscious golden hair up and shrugged nonchalantly. “Sure. I don’t have anything to do anyway.”
Meng Wanshu laughed at his mannerisms. Ye Feng was a powerful cultivator who had emerged alive from the pile of corpses in the Dungeon Abyss, yet he didn’t radiate even a hint of violent animosity. He seemed innocent and silly, with a touch of fearlessness and wildness. It made him seem rather carefree.
The group flew toward the Great Profound Sword Sect on the gigantic dragon.
The onlookers felt emotional. The past day had been more exciting than the rest of their lives put together. They all had guesses as to why Li Guanqi would voluntarily go to the Great Profound Sword Sect.
“It’s to visit He Yuning, of course! I heard the sect’s in chaos right now, and I think He Yuning actually benefited from this tragedy.”
“Where is this guy from? Seems like he’s from a powerful faction.”
“Ugh, it’s such a shame I can’t see what’s going on in the Great Profound Sword Sect.”
An old man in the crowd pursed his lips and said with amusement, “I think we’ll have a good show again. That blind kid endured a lot of suffering within that barrier.”
Everyone recalled Li Guanqi’s tragic state when the barrier opened. The dragon’s scales had been pulled off with brute force, and the radish had been cleaved in two.
Along the way, Li Changqing and Chu Jingze talked extensively. The two old men instantly became good friends and would’ve become sworn blood brothers if they could.
Li Guanqi suddenly slapped his forehead and turned to Ye Feng. “Where’s Peng Luo?”
Ye Feng froze. “Uh... Are you talking about the big radish?”
“Yes, where is it?”
Ye Feng asked solemnly, “Is it important to you?”
Li Guanqi had a bad feeling. He nodded. “Quite... important... I think?”
Ye Feng’s expression turned strange as he took out a large pot from a spatial crack. It was completely black, and steam billowed continuously from its six holes.
The water inside bubbled loudly, accompanied by muffled cries.
“Uh... Big Brother, I thought the radish was a gift to help me recover because we hadn’t met for a long time... Ha... Haha...” Ye Feng said.
Li Guanqi was speechless. He could not believe Ye Feng had tried to turn Peng Luo into soup.
He slapped the lid off the pot, and a white figure shot out.
Peng Luo was completely red, with various vegetable leaves stuck to him. His mouth was stuffed with onion, garlic, and ginger...
The furious Peng Luo zeroed in on Ye Feng and leaped up to deliver a flying kick. Spitting the condiments from his mouth, he cursed, “You motherfucker!”
