A Blind Swordsman's Sword Coffin-Chapter 506 - Invoking The Immortals Name
The palace master of the Green Sun Palace stared in disbelief. He turned to Ju Shaolin. “When you and I broke through, we came out of our tribulations half-dead. Meanwhile, this guy’s aura is completely stable. His foundation is outstanding.”
The effeminate Ju Shaolin smirked coldly, killing intent flickering in his eyes—until he caught Li Changqing’s glare and hid it away.
Ju Shaolin glanced toward the terrifying vital force domain and chuckled. “What a pity. He’s still going to die.”
His gaze drifted to Meng Wanshu, who stood far away with her palms pressed together. A flash of jealousy crossed his eyes at her natural beauty.
Shen Bing ignored him and gave a noncommittal smile.
“Not necessarily. You saw He Yuanting’s reaction just now. It didn’t seem like He Yuning was going to die. There could still be a twist.”
Ju Shaolin looked wistful but said nothing. His killing intent toward Li Guanqi intensified.
Through this incident, he’d learned that Li Guanqi was not as simple as he’d thought. The talent he displayed made even Ju Shaolin—an old monster who had lived a thousand years—feel afraid. And Li Guanqi didn’t just have talent. While he treated his enemies viciously, he was even more vicious toward himself.
I’ll kill you. Li Guanqi’s earlier words echoed in Ju Shaolin’s mind, and a chill ran down his spine.
As the battle raged in the domain, Nine Heavens stirred. A rumble like a war drum shook the air, and the crowd looked up. Looming over the city was a massive cloud formation, stretching over a thousand zhang and appearing even more formidable than Li Guanqi's tribulation.
Meng Wanshu’s face turned pale. Nine Heavens was undergoing a heavenly tribulation.
A tier-six demon’s heavenly tribulation was significantly more terrifying than a human cultivator’s. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺
Li Changqing straightened up. “This is bad. We have to take the dragon somewhere else, or the Heavenly Cloud City will be destroyed. The demon core you gave it was too powerful—it can’t control itself or stop the breakthrough now.”
He turned to look at the boundary of heavenly fire. “Or perhaps it’s trying to break through in order to help him.”
Meng Wanshu’s eyes flashed. The snowflake pin in her hair floated into the air, and a layer of ice-blue light engulfed Nine Heavens.
“Take it away!” she said, tossing out a purple jade bottle of concentrated jadeite essence.
Her reflection appeared in Nine Heavens’ eyes. The dragon let out a roar and shot into the sky.
Li Changqing watched cautiously. He couldn’t leave Meng Wanshu alone. His duty was to protect her, and he would never abandon her, no matter the circumstances.
Many people watched the departing dragon with greed in their eyes.
Meng Wanshu’s gaze turned cold. “I will kill anyone who touches it.”
Boom!
Powerful ice vital force erupted, spreading across a thousand zhang. The onlookers’ feet froze to the ground, feeling as if countless icicles could shoot through their soles at any moment. They were stunned by her aura. She was at the peak of the mid Illusory Refinement Realm. And she looked only eighteen or nineteen.
Li Guanqi, Ye Feng, and Meng Wanshu... Their accomplishments left the elders, who had been cultivating for over a thousand years, utterly embarrassed.
Ye Feng was impressed. He smiled. “Sister-in-law is impressive.”
Meng Wanshu was happy with the praise, though her cheeks turned red.
Ye Feng tied up his golden hair, secured the unconscious Peng Luo to his waist, and turned around. Glancing back, he said, “Sister-in-law, I’m going to check on Nine Heavens. Let me know when Big Brother finishes things here.”
Golden light flashed beneath his feet. He made a spatial tear and disappeared.
Ye Feng had no doubt Li Guanqi would win, and his blind faith was infectious. Meng Wanshu lowered her hands and slowly calmed herself. She, too, believed Li Guanqi could kill his enemy.
She found herself imagining how Li Guanqi had managed to survive on his own all these years.
When she’d left Prosperity Village long ago, he still had his grandfather with him.
When her father brought her and her mother out of the village, what followed was the greatest upheaval of her life. The man her mother scolded every day suddenly transformed into the territory lord of the Divine Treasure Territory.
It had taken her a long time to accept this as her new reality, but it allowed her to live a luxurious life. Yet whenever she asked about Li Guanqi and his grandfather, her father would stiffen and tell her not to worry about it.
Inside the domain, thunder roared without end. Each fighter was determined to kill the other.
Lightning flashed beneath Li Guanqi’s feet as he charged at full speed. At the Illusory Refinement Realm, he could absorb spirit qi rapidly, and his second dantian accelerated this even further. His net vital force expenditure was negligible.
Cang Lu was drenched in blood, his hands moving so fast they blurred into afterimages. Terrifying sound blades shot toward Li Guanqi.
“Cang Lu! Who the hell are you?!”
Cang Lu dodged the incoming sword lights while plucking his guqin’s strings, launching murderous sound blades in a constant stream.
Hearing the question, he smirked. Blood trickled from his mouth, and Li Guanqi had suppressed most of his strength, but he felt a perverse satisfaction knowing Li Guanqi still had no idea who he was.
“Who am I? Hahahahaha. I’m Cang Lu.”
Li Guanqi’s face darkened. He unleashed a barrage of sword lights. Cang Lu wasn’t going to reveal anything, even in death. The man was a mystery.
“In that case...”
Li Guanqi erupted with maximum strength.
Boom!
His Sword Heart Realm sword intent caused sword qi to explode outward, carving a dense web of cuts through the space within a hundred zhang.
Cang Lu’s eyes narrowed. He took a deep breath. A strange pattern glowed between his eyebrows, and a ray of light from the sky pierced downward toward him.
This mysterious energy instantly broke through Li Guanqi’s barrier.
Li Guanqi retreated over a hundred zhang, holding his sword in front of himself defensively. He didn’t take his eyes off Cang Lu.
“He’s invoking an immortal’s name!” Sword Spirit said.
