A Bastard's Allure-Chapter 60: Game Of Seduction
"Do you want more My Lady?" Jophiel asked, her eyes falling on the empty cup. Elena had just drowned her third cup of tea in one seating, and she was nowhere close to stopping.
"Yes please," she replied. Jophiel held the jug and filled the cup. Elena took in a deep breath enjoying the calm and serene morning. Her eyes settled on the empty chair at the far end, her smile naturally disappearing. Why was he taking so long?
She could have asked Vathin about Gabriel’s whereabouts but he took was nowhere to be seen. She took a sip of the tea. ’Just a little longer ’, she thought. He’d promised her he’d come, so she had to wait.
"The tea is already cold My Lady. Do you want me to get some warm from the kitchen?"
"The temperature is perfect Jophiel. Maybe you might consider doing your other tasks," she pointed. The maid had been standing there since. Surely, she must be tired.
"Right away, My Lady," Jophiel seconded, placing the jug on the table before she excused herself.
Now alone in the garden, Elena couldn’t help but admire the beautiful shades of flowers. The maids had taken care of them. The one in Mysthaven was nothing compared to this. She spotted a yellow butterfly perch on a nearby flower. It blended so well it was hard to notice if it was a butterfly in the first place.
"What makes you smile?" Came Gabriel’s voice.
Elena whipped her head to that side only to be awed. His hair was perfectly combed to rest on his shoulders. He now wore a black coat that matched with the black pants he wore. And his smile - it made her momentarily forget to breathe!
"I know I’m handsome!" Came his annoying phrase, accompanied by that smirk she felt like slapping it off his face everytime. However, she chose to look everywhere else but him.
He walked around and took her by the hand. His cold lips settled on them, Elena surrendering her fingers to the little intimacy. His eyes found hers making Elena blush hard.
"My Lady," he greeted, releasing her hands. He grabbed an apple from the fruit dish and took a bite. The crunchy sound of his chewing invaded Elena’s ears and she found herself staring at him. He looked so cute when eating, a scene she had to admit was rare.
"Did I keep you waiting?" He asked, only to make Elena’s anger boil afresh. And she was certain he did it on purpose.
"How can I be tired waiting for you?" She asked, trying to play the game of seduction. She smiled when he paused in his chewing to give her that awed look.
"Someone’s trying to be naughty I see," he intoned.
"I’m learning from the best," she added, resting her face on her palm and giving him that dreamy look. Gabriel paused in his chewing again, a smirk dancing on his face.
"I wish you looked the same last night," he pointed, and Elena’s playfulness disappeared as she cast her face down in embarrassment, her cheeks flushed pink. However, she was curious. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
"How did I look like... last night?" She added when Gabriel gave her a questioning look.
"Your mouth open. Your moans nearly making me deaf. I’ve never heard something sound like it!" He chewed his apple, hiding the smirk but Elena noticed it.
"Tell me, Riel," she said, her eyes finding his. "How many women have you slept with?" Elena had another question in mind, but she found herself asking this instead.
Gabriel took one large bite of his apple, his eyes calculatingly studying her. He let a little silence grow between them before he said, "Several. Hundreds maybe." He saw her eyes narrow. "And they all had tasty blood."
Elena " ".
Gabriel took the final bite of the apple and walked over to where she sat. He bent closer and whispered, "But none of them got to put their hands on my shaft." He drew to watch her reaction, and just as he had predicted, she was all pink.
He offered her his hand. "Shall we?"
Elena slid her hand in his. He was slightly cold despite, she noticed. He helped her stand.
"Where are we going?" She asked.
"You’ll find out soon," he said. He led her out of the garden, across the hallways. His hand was still entwined with his throughout. She could hear the maids giggle whenever they passed, her blood boiling in jealousy! Her peace returned only when they arrived by the stables.
The stable boy was already holding the reins of a black mount when they arrived. Gabriel took the reins and placed a few coins on the hands of the stable boy who left with a bow.
"Is this one yours?" Elena asked, just to be safe. She dreaded what happened the last time they tried horse riding together. But today, Gabriel had different plans.
"Yes. I bought him when he was a pony. He was the first thing I bought with my own money," he explained, caressing the horse’s mane.
"Come," he beckoned her. She walked over, her eyes admiring the horse. He was so dark! Gabriel held her arm and placed it on the horses snout. For a while, Elena was scared. But she eventually eased and bonded with the mount.
"He likes you," Gabriel said and they both smiled. "Come." She followed him and he helped her up. The horse swayed, almost shaking her off but Gabriel petted him until he was calm. He hopped on as well, taking the reins from Elena. His broad chest rested on her back as they rode out of the palace in a steady pace.
They rode to the East, where the land was green. Elena breathed in the fresh air, enjoying the ride. It was such a long time before she felt so free! Gabriel smiled from the side. She looked so happy, like a little child who saw the Northern lights for the first time. But he had more in store for her than the Northern lights.
