70s Delicate Girl: A Guide to Being a Rich Woman-Chapter 323: Teaching My Younger Brother
The little brat shook his head directly, just wanting to eat noodles. His sister was eating so deliciously, but unfortunately, the little guy could only call for milk and couldn’t express anything else, which made him anxious.
"It’s all because of you, teasing him for what." Madam Chen looked helplessly at her granddaughter. The little grandson was usually stubborn, and now he was even more stubborn, giving her a headache.
"How about I feed him a bit?" Xu Mumu said with a smile, feeling a tiny pang of conscience as she looked at the little guy’s pitiful appearance.
"No need, don’t feed him anymore. He ate quite a bit this morning, and overeating will lead to indigestion. I’ll take him for a stroll." Madam Chen shook her head. Coming to the city, chatting with the grannies here, made her gain more insights into raising children, so she raised her little grandson carefully, even though she still doted on him a bit.
"Alright then." Xu Mumu nodded, not looking at her little brother’s eager face, and wasn’t planning to acknowledge him even if he tugged at her dress.
Despite the little guy’s reluctance, he was taken out by Madam Chen.
After Madam Chen and the others left, Xu Mumu also finished eating and went to wash the dishes.
The rack on the balcony had quite a few small greens planted, along with some green onions and ginger, all seemingly well-tended.
Once Xu Mumu had tidied up most of it, Xu Minglei got up. There was still a warm egg and a bowl of porridge in the pot at that moment.
Xu Mumu twitched the corner of her mouth, was the breakfast at home divided into different levels?
The morning noodles weren’t something everyone could eat; only Xu Mumu and Xu Minghui had two bowls. The others ate porridge, which was made from last night’s leftover cold rice, accompanied by some small pickled vegetables. The breakfast was just so-so.
As for the special treatment of the sibling pair, Xu Minghui had school stuff to handle, and Xu Mumu hadn’t been home for a long time, so naturally, she needed some good nourishment.
"Sis, I think I smelled noodles." Xu Minglei sniffed hard in the kitchen. The noodles made from white flour weren’t something that the family ate often.
The family’s condition was pretty good now, they could often eat meat, but their mom was a thrift, unwilling to buy a bit more; as for white flour, even if they had some, it wasn’t eaten frequently.
"I just had a bowl, you should’ve gotten up earlier yourself. Now there’s only an egg and porridge left." Xu Mumu felt a bit guilty. What she ate did seem a bit better than the rest of the family.
"If I had known, I would’ve gotten up earlier." Xu Minglei said, somewhat regretfully.
"Now that you’re on vacation, do you have any plans?" Xu Mumu sat at the table, watching Xu Minglei eat breakfast, and asked.
"Sis, I want to study for next semester, teach me." Xu Minglei paused as he peeled the eggshell and then looked expectantly at Xu Mumu. The other students in the provincial city were too outstanding, and while he couldn’t surpass everyone, he felt a sense of urgency.
"Alright, no problem, if you want to learn, I’ll teach you. But you just finished the exams, rest for a few days before talking about studying again. You need a balance between work and rest." Xu Mumu said with a smile.
"Got it, sis." Xu Minglei nodded, exhausted from the recent exams.
"Where do you want to go today? We’ll go together." Xu Mumu raised her hand to stroke the little guy’s hair. It was a bit long, soft, and a little prickly to the touch, but it felt nice.
"I want to visit brother’s school. I don’t know what a university looks like yet." Xu Minglei said with excitement as he looked at Xu Mumu.
"Alright, we can go and see if we can get in. If we can, we’ll have a look around." Xu Mumu nodded with a smile. She hadn’t visited her elder brother’s school either and was quite interested in seeing it.
Hearing his sister agree, Xu Minglei quickened his pace in eating breakfast, clearly thrilled at the prospect of visiting a university.
When Xu Minglei finished eating, the little guy dutifully went to wash the bowls he had eaten from and cleaned the pot too.
Xu Mumu was very pleased with her brother’s diligence. He should be this way, diligent like this, and he’d definitely be popular with girls in the future. Unlike their older brother, who was still single despite his age.
After tidying up at home, Xu Mumu held the keys, said a word to Old Xu, and the siblings set off. Xu Mumu carried a small shoulder bag containing some everyday necessities as they left.
With the little guy leading the way, it took the siblings only half an hour to reach Xu Minghui’s school.
There were guards at the school gate, but when Xu Mumu brought Xu Minglei along, they didn’t stop them, which relieved Xu Mumu.
Xu Minglei was quite excited; the university was so big and spacious, and there were a lot of people inside.
The two walked aimlessly around the school, appreciating the scenery. The environment of this school was pretty good.
Many people were passing by; some were reading books in pavilions, some were chatting lively. It was completely different from the junior high he attended.
"Do you like it?" Xu Mumu asked the little guy.
"Sis, is your school like this too?" Xu Minglei asked curiously. He knew that his sister attended the best university in Hua Country and was curious about what it was like.
"Our school is even more beautiful, and the students there are all very good at studying." Xu Mumu said with a smile.
"Really?" Xu Minglei was a bit fascinated, wondering if he could score as well as his sister and go to the university she attended.
"Of course it is. Study well and you’ll go further. The outside world is much broader, and as long as you study hard, studying abroad will be no problem in the future." Xu Mumu said, patting the little guy’s hair.
"Abroad?" Xu Minglei was stunned, wondering if his sister was pulling his leg.
"Yes, really. Just wait and see. Our country will definitely become better and better. In the future, studying abroad will be very common." Xu Mumu said warmly. Xu Minglei was her brother, so naturally, she hoped he could go out and see more of the world.
"Sis, what is it like abroad?" Having heard his sister, he got a bit excited and wanted to study well.
"I don’t know either, I’ve never been. So you need to go out and see for yourself, it’s always clearer than hearing from others." Xu Mumu laughed.
"Well, I understand. I will definitely study hard." Xu Minglei said firmly. After all, his sister’s advice was always right, and she wouldn’t harm him. The things his sister taught him allowed him to excel in his studies, leaving many others behind.
Every time he knew more than the others, he felt particularly proud. All of this knowledge was taught by his sister, who was the most capable person he knew.
His friends envied him for having a sister who attended the best university, often expressing their admiration.
