30 Days of Passion and Revenge-Chapter 330: Ending
Lily fell heavily to the ground, half of her body in excruciating pain from the impact. The pain spread through her body, leaving her unable to move...
Even though Ethan had shielded her with his body...
Ethan’s sports car had its entire door caved in from the collision.
Lily looked up and saw Alice Johnson in the driver’s seat.
Alice glared at her with hatred, suddenly reversing and accelerating toward her again.
Lily struggled to move, but her body wouldn’t budge. A figure suddenly covered her, and Ethan pressed down on her, rolling them both away twice...
Lily didn’t know how to react as Ethan held her.
Alice’s car roared past them, so close it seemed to brush her face.
Lily heard Ethan’s scream. "Ah—"
Her heart tightened instantly, staring blankly at Ethan, who half-lay on top of her, refusing to let go, his face drained of color...
What was wrong with him? What was wrong?
"Quick—call the police! Call the police!"
"Call an ambulance! Call an ambulance!"
Realizing she hadn’t killed Lily, Alice reversed again. Only then did the staff who had escorted them get to their senses and start shouting...
Hearing the shouts, Alice didn’t reverse again and drove off quickly...
Everyone rushed over, blocking out the sky above them with a sea of dark figures...
"Ethan... Ethan..."
Lily was in shock, murmuring his name. Suddenly, the weight on her body lifted as Ethan rolled off and lay on the ground.
Lily endured the pain and lifted her head. Ethan lay on the ground, his face pale, his black coat covered in dust, his dark eyes staring blankly at the sky...
Blood was seeping from his body, slowly at first, then more and more...
"Ethan... don’t scare me... Ethan..."
Lily was terrified, using all her strength to shift her painfully immobilized body to lie on the ground, reaching out to grab his hand.
"Ugh—"
Ethan’s face contorted in pain, and Lily quickly let go.
"Ethan... Ethan..."
Lily stared blankly as the blood pooled beneath him, trembling with panic but helpless...
Ethan lay on his back, gasping for breath, sweat dripping from his forehead. After a moment, he turned his eyes to her shocked face, his thin lips parted, and he spoke with difficulty in a low voice, "Are you... okay?"
"I’m fine, I’m fine..." Lily shook her head frantically, looking at the blood beneath him, her mind blank. "How are you? Ethan..."
Ethan’s dark eyes were fixed on her face, and his lips paled as he honestly said, "It hurts..."
Like a knife carving into his bones... the pain was suffocating.
"Ethan..." Lily burst into tears. She wanted to hug him, to hold his hand, but her body was in such pain from the impact that she could barely move.
Seeing her tears, Ethan gasped, struggling to lift his hand, but his gaze caught the blood on it...
So much blood...
His hand fell again.
Ethan looked at Lily’s face greedily, his breathing uneven, each word forced out with incredible difficulty. "Ha... maybe I’ll... die before... you..."
Was this what it felt like before death? Pain, endless pain, heart-wrenching agony...
That would be good.
He wouldn’t have to worry about how many people his father killed... or how their son would be tortured...
If he died first, he wouldn’t have to worry about anything...
"Don’t say that..." Lily was shocked again by his words. "You’ll be fine. The ambulance will be here soon. Ethan, stay strong."
"Lily..." Ethan lifted his hand toward her, a smile on his pale lips. "You don’t... want treatment... you don’t... want to live... I’ll go... ahead of you..."
Ethan couldn’t finish his sentence, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth, staining his teeth red...
"No..." Lily saw his eyes flicker and was beside herself with panic. "Don’t talk anymore. The ambulance is coming soon. Ethan, you have to hold on. Please... you have to hold on..."
Ethan lay in a pool of blood, his face turned slightly toward her, continuing to speak, struggling to breathe. "I want you to live... it’s been hard... so hard... this is good..."
It would be good to die together.
If he went first, and there was an afterlife, he could still hold her hand...
He wouldn’t have to suffer anymore.
"It’s not good... not good at all..."
Lily shook her head vigorously, searching the ground. "Where’s the ring? Where’s the ring...?"
The impact of Alice’s car made her lose the ring. Where was the engagement ring Ethan had given her?
"Are you looking for this?"
A bystander handed the ring to Lily.
Lily gripped the ring tightly, lying on the ground and holding it in front of Ethan, her voice choked and trembling. "This is the ring you were going to propose with, right? I accept, Ethan. Let’s get married, okay? You must hold on... we must live and get married, okay?"
Lily cried as she spoke.
She had thought it would be silly for a girl to say such things first... but now, she regretted not saying it sooner...
She didn’t want him to die; she didn’t want him to leave...
He couldn’t leave like this...
Ethan’s eyes flickered with surprise as he saw the ring in her hand. Lily had retrieved it.
He hadn’t said anything, yet she was directly accepting his proposal?
"Get married while alive?" Alive? Are both of them alive?
"Yes, get married while alive..." Lily lifted his blood-covered hand, trembling as she slid the ring onto his finger. It took several tries, and her vision blurred by tears.
It was a woman’s ring, which only fit his little finger.
What was once a beautiful, delicate ring was now covered in blood...
"Ugh..." Ethan grimaced in pain.
Lily quickly tried to let go of his hand, but Ethan weakly gripped hers back, his strength fading.
Both their hands were covered in blood, a shocking sight.
Ethan had little strength left, his dark eyes looking at her, occasionally losing focus. Blood trickled from the corner of his mouth, staining his lips a vivid red...
"And you?" Ethan asked with difficulty.
"I’ll get treatment. I’ll live well. I want to marry you. I want to be with you..." Lily didn’t dare grab his hand tightly, shouting as if afraid he wouldn’t hear. "I know it’s been hard for you. Please, hold on a little longer for me... okay? Together, we can face anything."
Only at the brink of death did Lily truly feel the terror of it.
When Ethan spoke those words, she realized how helpless she felt, wishing the blood were coming from her instead...
He couldn’t die like this. He shouldn’t die...
She had indirectly caused his mother’s death. He couldn’t be ruined by her too...
"Ethan, please... you have to hold on..." Lily pleaded through her tears. "I want to marry you... Ethan, I want to be your wife..."
Ethan’s lips curled into a faint, proud smile as if hearing something touching or seeing a beautiful scene. "Do you want that?"
Yes.
She did.
Lily nodded heavily, her tears falling onto his face.
"Stop crying," Ethan said affectionately, squeezing her hand with his little strength. His voice was weak and fading. I’ll marry you... isn’t that enough?"
What woman would beg and cry like this to marry a man?
Where was her pride? Gone again?
"Yes." Lily nodded, tears streaming down her face.
The sound of the ambulance grew closer. Lily looked at Ethan’s face, reaching out to wipe the blood from his lips.
Half of Ethan’s face was smeared red; no matter how much she wiped, it wouldn’t come clean.
"Ethan..."
Ethan didn’t say another word, breathing laboriously, his eyes slowly closing and opening again...
He couldn’t die.
He couldn’t die.
"Move aside—move aside—"
The paramedics efficiently brought down a stretcher and moved both onto it. Ethan’s hand still held hers.
"Lily, I’ll only live if you live, understand?"
As Ethan’s voice faded, the doctors placed an oxygen mask over his face.
Lily was also fitted with an oxygen mask. As the stretchers were lifted, the doctors separated their hands...
Their blood-soaked hands fell limply.
Lily looked deeply at Ethan, whose eyes never closed, always watching her, his dark gaze intense...

Bright sunlight streamed into the large room, the white curtains fluttering gently in the breeze.
In the full-length mirror, a long, extravagant white wedding dress trailed across the floor, layers upon layers...
Lily looked at herself in the mirror, her face radiant against the gown’s white.
"Mrs., the groom is here."
Someone suddenly spoke.
Lily turned around. The white door opened, and a tall figure stood in the doorway, dressed in a perfectly tailored black suit accentuating ’his’ imposing frame. ’His’ face, with its perfect features, sharp brows, and bright eyes, smiled at her, ’his’ lips curving into a charming arc.
Lily smiled back...
On the windowsill sat a music box playing a delightful melody. Inside, a pair of wedding bears embraced, twirling in a beautiful and happy dance.
