100X Return System: My Talent Awakening Becomes a God-Level Cheat-Chapter 31: Separate Ways
In a pitch black room the size of a throne room, ten candles lit with flame were on the ground, positioned in a circle.
The flames danced back and forth as the wind that blew, but didn’t go out. The candles were designed with a sigil of a bird soaring through the sky with a serpent caught by it foot.
The candles were at the center, but around them were ten figures all wearing black hoodie cloaks.
They were dressed the same way, had the same height and stood in a sync posture as though they were in a show-off stance competition.
In this throne room, these mysterious figures all formed a circle around the circular formed candles.
Each candle for each of them.
The sigil that was on the body of the candles was also at the back of the cloak of every mysterious figure.
Their faces were covered with the hoodie, as nothing could be seen except for the part of the room the flames illuminated.
The energy around the room was giving an eerie vibe making these cloaked individuals look like some kind of cult.
Just then, approaching footsteps could be heard from a distance and these cloaked figures didn’t move or react to the movement.
"My friends, you’re all here? I expected nothing less."
A thick male voice echoed throughout the room as the person who was approaching spoke.
He moved past these individuals, around them, and went to what looked like a level two staircase and on the top was a massive chair made out of metal.
The man stood before the chair facing the cloaked individuals. He also had a hoodie on his head but the design of it completely was different from theirs.
And he didn’t have any sign at his back.
The man removed the hoodie and his face came into light. He had green eyes, blonde hair, and a mischievous smile on his face.
"Now you all are here," he began to speak. "I have just one thing to say. Bring me the information I need at any costs, as my ultimate price is waiting to be explored."
As soon as the man said this, the cloaked individuals all nodded and immediately vanished from the room, as a portion of wind left behind that turned off all the flames of the candles, but one.
The only candle that was not put off shimmered in this dark room with all its might as its supporters were gone.
Upon seeing the immediate movement of the cloaked individuals, the man turned over and sat on the iron chair with an expression of satisfaction, then he uttered.
"Now, tell me. Who out there still dares to face me? The man known as the Reynold of Whispers?"

Aegon had just found out that he was out of the world of the rings and was now in the actual Abyss.
He had already realized that he wasn’t the one that brought himself outside, and also not the person that brought the others.
There was only one question; who did then?
A voice spoke out as if they couldn’t just leave it alone and go their own ways.
"Since we are alive and out of that place, does that mean we don’t have to listen to that voice any longer?"
"Of course, they wouldn’t have power over that real Abyss as it is a vast world."
Everyone agreed to what the person had claimed and then another voice spoke. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂
"Then, does that mean the people who were killed were the ones that needed to die?"
As the words were said every gaze went to Aegon and locked on his body as though they were trying to apologize.
They had criticized him as the one who was supposed to be killed for their way out, not knowing he wasn’t the one, but then killed the actual culprit.
Aegon wasn’t buying this, he felt that there was more to it.
’Are you telling me that voice just released us like that? It talked about a single person dying. But I killed five, were they all guilty?’
"Perhaps one of them was the culprit, and the others were just mere sacrifices for a good cause?"
The voice that said this was a female farmer, the same person that was the first to volunteer.
It was already agreed that this was the best possible explanation and it was final, but Aegon knew better, there was more to it.
’These people didn’t even consider why they were set free. Why didn’t the voice speak again before letting them leave? Or...’
’Is it because the rings were crashing? It would make a lot of sense if that was the reason because their playground was destroyed, therefore there was no reason to keep us there.’
’This is indeed a good take.’
Now that the Farmers were out of that place and had concluded on their victory, they began to go their separate ways.
Those who were together from the beginning moved together, while others who had lost the ones they came with and were now close with another person, also moved together.
In a matter of seconds and minutes the place was getting fewer and fewer until there were only about fifteen Famers left.
Nyra and her party were among these people and they were all together. Sinon was closest to Nyra while she whispered something in her ear.
"Go and talk to him."
Nyra shook her head as the words entered her ear. They were about to leave, go their own separate ways, but she wanted to apologize and have Aegon join them onwards.
However, she just couldn’t bring herself to ask him.
At this moment, Chrome was staring at Aegon. Well, all of them were staring at him in anticipation of what was going to happen now.
They had their own reasons for entering the Abyss earlier and hadn’t forgotten about that, but first of all they had to wait for their leader to do what she wanted to do.
"Just go and meet him!" Sinon uttered, almost loud, that Aegon held.
He still had the return stone in his hand. He held it tightly and looked in the direction of where Nyra and her party were.
As their gaze saw his head turning, they quickly retracted their eyes to face another direction that wasn’t him.
’Looks like I have to say it after all.’
Seeing the reaction they had when he looked at them, Aegon felt like he was the one they were waiting for and therefore he had to meet them, and so he went.
He began walking towards them and quickly Nyra composed herself, removing Sinon’s hand from her shoulder.
As soon as Aegon arrived, Nyra had a slight smile on her face and was about to speak but Aegon cut in and began.
"Looks like we’re free to go now..." he began, and Nyra, who he was facing nodded her head.
"Although it was only for a while, I would like to thank you for letting me join your party to enter the Abyss."
"Oh, it’s nothing, We..." Nyra responded and wanted to continue but got cut off by Aegon again.
"From here on, we go our separate ways, and our paths may never cross again. So, I bid you all farewell."
He had an expressionless face as he said this and afterwards turned around and began to walk away from them.
Nyra wanted to say something but kept it to herself as her eyes and the others were all on Aegon’s back.
Just then, a bright golden light engulfed him and before them he suddenly vanished.
"What?... Did he just? Wait Does he?"
Shock was written on all their faces as they had seen this light before and knew exactly what it was.
He had used a return stone.
