Noble Pampering: Demon CEO's Relentless Entanglement
Chapter 1029 - 1025: What Does My Child Have to Do with You?
"Sophie, did you hear what I said?" Eva saw that Sophie didn’t respond, so she repeated her question.
"Okay, I got it. I’ll come find you in the afternoon."
Indeed, in the afternoon, Sophie went to meet Eva. Eva took her to get some beauty treatments and a spa, and then took her shopping. They bought so many things that the two of them couldn’t carry them all. In the end, Eva had no choice but to call Luke Land and ask him to send some people over to help carry the things.
But instead of sending someone, Luke Land came over himself.
He carried big bags and followed behind them. Sophie felt a bit guilty and wanted to go over to take some of the bags, but Eva called her over instead.
"Wow, Sophie, come and look!" Eva walked into a baby clothing store, and inside were all sorts of adorable children’s clothes. Eva’s eyes lit up with excitement.
Seeing Eva’s interest in the children’s clothes, Luke also couldn’t resist walking over.
"This is so cute, I want to buy it," Eva said, not caring about anything else, and handed the clothes to the staff, saying, "I want this too."
Eva bought clothes entirely based on her whims, without caring whether they were for boys or girls, for newborns or two to three-year-olds. As long as they caught her eye, she handed them all to the staff.
Next to her, Luke seemed to be influenced by her as well. His fingers skimmed over racks of clothes, picking out the ones he liked and handing them to the staff.
Sophie was a bit dumbfounded. What on earth were these two doing?
"Hey, Luke, why are you choosing... so many clothes?"
Eva looked cluelessly at the pile of clothes accumulating at the counter and then turned to ask Luke.
"They’re for your baby," Luke replied.
Eva frowned, pouting and said, "What does the baby in my belly have to do with you? Don’t get too carried away, or I might really think the baby is yours."
Luke ignored her murmurs and continued picking out clothes. When he thought it was enough, he took out his card to pay the bill.
"Hey, hey, hey! I don’t want you to pay, I’ll do it myself," Eva protested, walking over to the counter, but Luke quickly swiped his card.
There were too many things, and in the end, Luke had no choice but to call a few people over to help pick up the items at the mall.
...
Just as Sophie and Eva were done shopping and about to get in the car, a swarm of people with cameras suddenly appeared outside the mall, surrounding her and snapping photos non-stop.
"Miss Smith, we’ve been waiting forever for you. Could we have a few minutes of your time to answer some media questions?"
"Miss Smith, ..."
"Miss Smith, ..."
The cacophony of voices came from all directions, and Sophie felt like every sound that reached her ears turned into a loud buzzing noise.
Luke held onto her, intending to help her get directly into the car, but the media assault was overwhelming, and they were completely stuck in place.
After a while, Sophie steadied herself and snapped back to reality.
"If anyone has questions, please ask quickly, okay?" Sophie said with a slight smile. Though she was urging them, her tone was not impatient at all.
The media launched into their formal questioning.
Actually, the reason for the media frenzy around Sophie today was because, a couple of days ago, a paparazzi shot an important photo, which spread online.
