Chapter 1516: Chapter 1516 Greeting

He walked back and placed the mushroom soup in front of Hannah.

Speaking like a precocious little adult giving a lecture.

It was parental.

Holding the warm mushroom soup, Hannah warmed her hands, "But when I first met you, I talked to you too, and you even asked me for help. I was a stranger then too."

Children can sometimes be easily appeased, yet sometimes their minds work exceptionally fast.

"Because..." Archer was thinking about how to explain it or perhaps to put it differently when talking to Hannah.

"It’s because you’re Archer!" Hannah helped him find the answer, "Because Archer has beautiful eyes, so he must be a good person."

The little girl lowered her head to drink soup.

The topic seemed to have veered off again.

Archer struggled to steer it back, "Hannah, no one becomes good just because they have beautiful eyes."

Because appearances can be deceiving.

Even though it is said that appearance reflects the heart, it doesn’t guarantee that one will never make a misjudgment.

This time, it was finally Hannah’s turn to be puzzled.

She took a sip of the mushroom soup, the bowl was large, and when she looked up, she could only see a pair of eyes, "So are you a bad person too, Archer?"

Archer was silent; "No."

At least not to Hannah.

Hannah nodded, not fully understanding.

She finished another bowl of mushroom soup and continued, "About that strange person today, I had seen him before."

Archer was clearing the table, stacking the used bowls, "Where did you see him?"

"With that group of new people last time," Hannah said. "That strange person was there, but he ran away."

Hannah didn’t know the name of Seventeen, so she referred to him as "strange person".

Archer also remembered that group of people; he recalled there were twenty-one in total, "Did you see him run away?"

Hannah nodded, "Yes, I saw him running off and even greeted him."

Greeting...

That was another risky behavior Archer disapproved of.

He had always felt that someone was watching them from the shadows, initially thinking it was just an illusion, but now it seemed it was the "strange person" Hannah mentioned.

The person was very cautious and had probably been watching them for quite some time.

But for now, it seemed there was no malice.

But it was only for now.

In Brie, people changing is normal.

And Archer was gradually getting used to the rules in Brie.

"Next time you see him, keep your distance."

Although he knew Hannah could protect herself, Archer still admonished her. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖

Hannah obediently nodded, agreeing.

After she had eaten, she began to feel sleepy and yawned.

Supporting her own head, her eyes were nearly closing.

Archer told her to go rest.

Suddenly, Hannah’s eyes sparkled, thinking of something, and her drowsiness was halved, her words filled with excitement, "Is there a story?"

She blinked, looking at Archer with hope.

Archer smiled and said, "Yes."

Hannah could not wait, she took off her coat and climbed onto the bed, fetching the storybook from the other side.

Archer moved a chair to sit beside Hannah’s bed, taking the fairy tale book from her hands.

Hannah burrowed into the blankets, covered properly, exposing only her fuzzy head.

"Alright, you can start now." She patted the blankets herself, waiting obediently to hear the story.

Archer opened the book to the first page.

The young man’s voice was clean, like melting snow water, gently narrating a story: "A long, long time ago..."

The story was short, but Hannah had fallen asleep by the time Archer reached the middle.

She leaned on the pillow, her body turned to the side.
