My Kingdom Building Done Right!
Chapter 153: Spinning The Wheel Of Fortune Once More [Part 2]
[Congratulations! You have won a Scorch-Fang Raptor!]
An androgynous voice swiftly reached everyone’s ears.
A moment later, a brilliant light shone from the Wheel of Fortune as the prize Brann had won materialized.
"By the Earth Goddess..." Brann muttered as he stared at the creature that appeared before him.
The Raptors present at the scene looked at the towering figure the Wheel of Fortune had summoned, only to then ask the same question in their language.
"""Dad?"""
A Raptor that stood at least six meters tall looked down at Brann before raising its head to roar at the sky.
Gundar and Hassan couldn’t help but gasp in shock after witnessing something that couldn’t be explained by common sense!
"Oh sh*t! Did Brann accidentally summon Anjan*th?!" Daedalus exclaimed, though only Leone had heard it.
"Anja-what?" Leone replied as he gazed at the towering Raptor that was at least three times bigger than the ones they used as mounts.
It also looked very fierce, making Astravor look at it from its nest on the peak of Grimjaw Mountain.
The Guardian of the Mountain narrowed its eyes, wondering if this monster that had suddenly appeared would dare to challenge it on its home turf.
The Raptor’s body took on the shades of black and red, making it look like a true predator amongst monsters. In fact, the warriors of the Aslan Tribe subconsciously took a step back because they could instinctively feel that this monster was stronger than them!
However, while there were people who felt fear, there were those who felt excitement as well.
After the initial shock ended, the children of the Aslan Tribe cheered before running towards the giant Raptor’s leg to hug it.
Their parents nearly had a heart attack from the sight. If the monster lifted its foot and stomped on their children, they would easily turn into meat paste!
Fortunately, the summoned monster, who went by the name Scorch-Fang Raptor, only looked at the kids hugging its feet and riding its tail with a fierce gaze.
It didn’t even make any effort to lift its foot or swing its tail. The young ones had no malice, and it had no intention of harming the kids completely under its mercy.
"O-Okay, everyone, please come here!" Leone clapped his hands to catch the kids’ attention. "If all of you behave, I will give you all a chance to spin the wheel later to win mounts!"
"Really?! I want something like this big Raptor!"
"I want something like Fury!"
"I want to get Porkchop’s wife!"
The kids hurried to Leone’s side after hearing his statement. They were very jealous of Runa because she had Porkchop. Naturally, they also wanted to have a mount just like her!
Finally freed from the frail creatures it could accidentally stomp to death, the Scorch-Fang Raptor lowered its head toward Brann and stared at him at point-blank range.
Brann used every ounce of strength and willpower in his body to stop the urge of taking a step back from the monster in front of him.
"Brann, that Raptor now belongs to you," Leone said calmly. "It will listen to your every command, so please treat it well. This monster is called the Scorch-Fang Raptor, but feel free to give it a nickname. It’s more personal that way."
Gromm looked at his father and the giant monster that could possibly eat him whole if it wanted.
After hearing Leone’s words, Brann swallowed his saliva before reaching out to touch the tip of the monster’s jaw.
With the chieftain’s hand resting near its nose, the Scorch-Fang Raptor could not help but sneeze, blowing Brann away and making him roll on the ground.
Gromm hurried to his father’s side, his face pale, thinking the Raptor had attacked his father in some way.
But after helping his father stand up, Brann actually laughed out loud.
"Hahaha! You little rascal!" Brann shouted. "How dare you sneeze at me?!"
Everyone looked at Brann, wondering if his brain got damaged after he was blown away by that sneeze.
How could he possibly call this giant monster a little rascal?
This time, Brann walked towards his Raptor with confidence, before reaching his hand out towards it once more.
The Scorch-Fang Raptor actually moved its head in response, allowing Brann’s hand to touch it properly, and this time, away from its nose.
"""Whoa!"""
Seeing this scene, everyone looked pumped up. Clearly, they also wanted to try their luck on the Wheel of Fortune because they might also get a cool Raptor like the one that Brann got!
However, before they could do that, Gundar took a step forward. "Leone, can I also try to spin that spinning wheel of yours?"
A glance was enough to tell him that the Scorch-Fang Raptor was a very strong monster. In fact, it was nearly as strong as the Gryphon that guarded Grimjaw Mountain!
And he was right.
Even Daedalus had already appraised the Rank 4 Raptor that Brann had named Boris, which it planned to show Leone later.

Gundar assumed that the Wheel of Fortune was one of Leone’s abilities. Though, he also realized that this spinning wheel didn’t grant prizes easily.
Even Leone, its Master, didn’t win any prize earlier. This made the great shaman want to better understand the conditions on how the young man’s miraculous powers work.
"Sure, Great Uncle," Leone replied with a smile. "I’ll allow you to spin once."
"Good." Gundar nodded as he placed his hand on the spinning wheel.
To Leone’s confusion, his Great Uncle didn’t spin the wheel right away.
Instead, Gundar closed his eyes and extended his spiritual powers to encompass the entire spinning wheel, trying to figure out its secrets.
Daedalus watched the great shaman and chuckled internally. It understood what Gundar was trying to do.
’It’s no use, old man,’ Daedalus thought. ’This is a power beyond your understanding.’
As if proving that its words were right, the great shaman suddenly took a step back and looked at his hand.
White smoke rose from Gundar’s hand as if the Wheel of Fortune was punishing him for trying to peek at its secrets.
"I apologize if I offended you, Great Ancient Artifact." Gundar bowed toward the spinning wheel.
Although it was only for a brief moment, he sensed that the Wheel of Fortune was connected to something or someone extremely ancient he must not offend no matter what.
Daedalus had briefly told Leone what just happened, which made the young man look at his great uncle with a complicated gaze.
After that brief pause, Gundar used his uninjured hand to hold one of the handles of the spinning wheel before giving it a spin.
The familiar music played once again, making the children clap their hands and sway from side to side in response.
Everyone looked at the wheel with great curiosity, wondering if the Great Shaman of the Borderlands would be lucky or not.
