My Infinite Cultivation System
Chapter 138: Creating a technique
"Alex, the purpose of my training is not simply to make your body stronger, but I have another goal in mind."
The heat of the realm continued to press against Alexโs skin, though it no longer felt as overwhelming as it once had. His breathing remained steady, and the faint tremors that used to run through his muscles had disappeared. He turned his attention fully toward Igris, waiting.
"What goal?" Alex asked.
Igris observed him for a brief moment before speaking again. ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ซ๐ฃ๐ธ๐ซ๐ฎ๐.๐๐๐ถ
"I want you to create a Body Strengthening Technique."
"At our level, power is not measured only by strength or cultivation. It is measured by influence over existence itself. When a being creates something original, something that alters the path of others, that act generates karmic weight and establishes fate lines."
Alex listened without interruption.
"Techniques," Igris continued, "are not merely methods of gaining power. They are imprints on reality. When others cultivate a technique that you have created, a connection forms. That connection accumulates karma and fate. Over time, these forces can be refined into something far more significant."
Alexโs gaze remained steady.
"An inner universe. A stable inner universe requires more than energy. It requires a foundation of fate and karma strong enough to sustain it. Those who possess such universes stand on an entirely different level compared to those who rely only on conventional cultivation."
Alex processed the information in silence.
"Grandmaster," Alex said after a moment, "why focus on a physical technique?"
Igris answered without hesitation.
"Energy circulation techniques have existed for ages. Their paths have been explored, refined, and replicated countless times. Creating a new one would not generate the same level of karmic impact unless it surpasses all existing methods by a significant margin. That is not impossible, but it is inefficient."
He paused briefly before continuing.
"The physical body, however, remains underdeveloped in comparison. Most cultivators treat it as a vessel rather than a foundation. They reinforce it with energy instead of evolving it fundamentally. This creates a dependency."
Alex nodded slightly.
"If the energy is removed," he said, "their strength collapses."
"Correct," Igris replied. "A truly powerful being should not rely on a single source. The body must be capable of sustaining strength independently. Only then can it serve as a stable anchor for higher forms of existence."
Alexโs gaze lowered briefly as he considered the implications.
"Can you give me some idea about how I can start?" he asked.
Igris did not answer immediately. Instead, he extended his hand slightly, as if indicating the environment around them.
"Feel the changes in your body," he said. "Understand what has occurred over the past twenty eight days. The heat did not simply damage you. It forced your cells to adapt. It refined them under extreme conditions."
Alex remained still.
"Now," Igris continued, "use that as your reference. Create a method that allows others to achieve similar results without enduring the same level of pain. You are not replicating the process. You are translating its essence into something controlled."
Alex nodded.
"I understand."
"Do not rush," Igris added. "A technique of this nature requires precision. If you force the process, you will create instability."
Alex did not respond verbally, but his expression indicated that he had taken the words into account.
"Grandmaster," he said after a brief pause, "do you have any body techniques that I can use as reference?"
Igris raised his hand slightly.
In the next instant, a vast number of texts appeared in the space before Alex. They hovered in an organized formation, each one radiating a faint presence that indicated its depth and complexity.
"These are various body refinement techniques," Igris said. "Some are ancient. Some are incomplete. Some are flawed. Study them, but do not follow them blindly."
Alex stepped forward slightly, his attention shifting toward the collection.
"I understand."
"You have two days," Igris said. "After that, the next phase of your training will begin."
Without waiting for a response, Igris disappeared.
The oppressive environment remained unchanged, but the focus of Alexโs mind had shifted entirely.
He moved toward a relatively stable section of rock and sat down. The heat beneath him continued to radiate upward, but his body adjusted to it without significant discomfort.
The texts before him remained suspended, waiting.
"Rafael," Alex said calmly, "analyze these techniques and extract their core principles."
A brief pause followed before the response came.
"Understood. Beginning analysis."
The texts began to shift slightly as an unseen process unfolded.
Alex closed his eyes.
He did not begin reading immediately. Instead, he directed his awareness inward.
His body felt different now.
The changes were not superficial. They extended to a level that he had not previously been able to perceive clearly.
The heat of the realm had forced his cells to operate under constant stress. At first, they had been damaged repeatedly. Over time, however, they had begun to adapt.
The structure of his muscles had become denser. The coordination between different systems within his body had improved. Even the way his skin responded to external stimuli had changed.
It was not simply durability.
It was efficiency.
Every part of his body now functioned with a level of precision that had not existed before.
Alex focused on that sensation.
He traced the memory of the process.
The initial damage.
The gradual adaptation.
The stabilization.
He repeated it mentally, breaking it down into smaller components.
"Analysis complete," Rafael said.
Alex opened his eyes.
"Summarize," he said.
"The majority of the techniques rely on external stimulation to trigger adaptation," Rafael replied. "Common methods include heat exposure, pressure application, and controlled destruction followed by recovery. However, most techniques lack internal regulation, resulting in inefficiency or long term damage."
Alex listened.
"Only a small percentage of the techniques incorporate cellular level control," Rafael continued. "Even among those, the level of precision is limited. None of the analyzed methods fully replicate the efficiency observed in your recent transformation."
Alex nodded slightly.
"That means I cannot rely on them directly," he said.
"Correct," Rafael replied.
Alexโs gaze shifted back toward the suspended texts.
He raised his hand, and several of them moved closer.
He began to read.
Time passed without interruption.
Each technique presented a different approach. Some focused on brute force methods, using extreme conditions to push the body beyond its limits. Others attempted more refined processes, using controlled energy flow to stimulate gradual improvement.
Alex compared each one against his own experience.
Most of them lacked balance.
They either relied too heavily on external factors or failed to achieve meaningful transformation.
He set them aside mentally.
His focus narrowed.
"If I replicate the heat directly," he said quietly, "the user will not survive."
"That is correct," Rafael replied.
"Then the process must be internal," Alex continued.
He closed his eyes again.
The memory of the heat remained vivid.
It had not simply burned his body. It had forced his cells to adapt by constantly pushing them to the edge of failure.
"If the same level of stress can be simulated internally," he said, "the body can adapt without external damage."
"Simulation would require precise control,"
Rafael said.
Alex nodded.
"That is the key."
He began to construct the framework in his mind.
The first layer.
It had to be accessible, yet effective.
"Target," he said quietly, "Martial Emperor level nine equivalent physical strength for the first layer."
He considered the implications.
The technique needed to produce a body that could withstand significant force without relying on energy reinforcement.
That required more than simple strengthening.
It required transformation.
"Step one," Alex said, "induce controlled stress at the cellular level."
He visualized it.
Instead of external heat, the body itself would generate a form of internal pressure. This pressure would act on the cells, forcing them to adapt.
"Step two," he continued, "regulate the process to prevent collapse."
The system needed feedback.
If the stress exceeded a certain threshold, it had to adjust automatically.
"Step three," he said, "stabilize the adapted structure."
Without stabilization, the improvements would degrade over time.
Rafael remained silent, processing.
Alex opened his eyes.
The outline had formed, but it was incomplete.
He needed a medium.
"Energy cannot be the primary driver," he said. "But it can be used as a catalyst."
"That would reduce dependency while maintaining control," Rafael replied.
Alex nodded.
He refined the idea further.
The technique would use minimal energy to initiate the process. After that, the body would take over, sustaining the transformation through its own mechanisms.
"Heat was the trigger," he said. "But the essence was pressure and adaptation."
He looked at his hand.
The skin bore faint marks from the training, but beneath them, there was a strength that had not existed before.
"I will recreate that," he said qry.
Time continued to pass.
The heat of the realm remained constant, but Alex no longer paid attention to it.
His mind focused entirely on the construction of the technique.
Each component was examined, adjusted, and integrated into a cohesive structure.
He did not rush.
By the end of the first day, the foundation of the first layer had taken shape.
It was not complete, but it was functional.
Alex opened his eyes slowly.
The texts around him had become irrelevant.
He had already extracted what he needed.
Now, the process was his own.
