As the battle between the two formations began, we took advantage of the chaos to start clearing a path. This was to send Athrun and Yzak to Genesis.

—"Out of the way! Out of the way! Out of the way!!"

With both sides committing everything to the fight, and us joining in, the battlefield became pure chaos. But each side’s objective was clear. The Earth Alliance desperately tried to break through to PLANT, while ZAFT aimed to stop the Earth Alliance’s nukes and buy time for Genesis to recharge.

This actually worked in our favor. They were more focused on each other than on us.

—"You’re slow, Athrun!"

Yzak’s Harute Gundam began rampaging wildly. Its large cannons on both sides unleashed massive firepower, and using its high speed through transformation, it carved through enemies in front with its sword rifle shaped like a forward-swept wing. Like a beast tearing across the battlefield, it sharply cut through the gaps between enemies.

Swish—! Swish—! Zing—! KABOOM!!!

’That Yzak has practiced a lot.’

His skills had certainly improved. It showed how much training he had done.

As Yzak cleared the surroundings, Athrun, along with us, focused on breaking through the enemies ahead. True to its specialization in one-on-one combat, the Justice Gundam swung its beam sabers, threw its beam boomerangs, and quickly pierced forward.

—"Yzak! Too many casualties!"

—"I’m trying! But there are too many of them!"

Yzak tried to subdue enemies as quickly as possible with the Harute Gundam, resorting to destruction in the process. But this was understandable. Both sides were committing everything, so the number of enemies was enormous, and there was no telling when Genesis might fire again.

—"Launching METEOR. Freedom, please prepare."

—"Got it."

As we cleared the path, the Eternal detached the METEOR from its front-right side and sent it to the Freedom, which had been providing support fire.

METEOR is a large weapons module ZAFT created for use with nuclear-powered Mobile Suits. When docked, it grants the machine battleship-class firepower, with beam cannons, missile pods, and wing-like beam swords on both sides, delivering overwhelming offensive power. However, its large size reduces mobility, and it has poor defenses, so the pilot’s skill and determination determine its effectiveness. A simple analogy: it’s like towing a trailer behind a car.

Once the Freedom perfectly docked with the METEOR, it activated its multi-lock-on system and swept away countless enemies in an instant. The Freedom combined with the METEOR, like fireworks streaking across the night sky, spewed overwhelming firepower, launching beams and missiles in all directions.

’Ah... come to think of it, I haven’t built the GN Arms... I’ll definitely make them by Destiny.’

The GN Arms from the Double O universe is also a large weapons module that maximizes a Mobile Suit’s firepower, similar to METEOR. Seeing the Freedom like that made me think I definitely needed to build one.

While we were still clearing a path, Ramias’s voice came over the comm.

—"There might be a special squadron equipped with nukes. Everyone is busy fighting, so it’s chaotic, but if you see any suspicious units, report immediately."

—"Understood, Captain Ramias."

—"Got it."

No sooner had she said that than we saw Earth Alliance Moebius Mobile Armor units carrying large missiles underneath, bypassing the less-populated areas and heading toward PLANT. There were so many that they were impossible to miss.

—"Damn! All Mobile Suits, stop that unit!"

Just then, a transmission came from Captain Ledonir Kisaka of the Kusanagi.

—"New Mobile Suits have launched from the Earth Alliance Archangel-class ship (Dominion). I think they’re the three we talked about before."

The Earth Alliance had not only sent the nuclear missile unit but also the Boosted Man trio to escort them.

"This is as far as we go, Athrun, Yzak. We’re counting on you for Genesis."

—"Got it. We’ll take it from here."

ZAFT Mobile Suit units also moved to stop them, but they were pinned down by Earth Alliance Mobile Suits and couldn’t move. In the end, we had to intercept all the nuclear missiles ourselves.

—"Shall we attack now?"

Dearka, impatient, asked.

"If we engage now, we can stop the nukes, but the casualties will be too high. They will launch soon, so we’ll intercept them then. Our firepower is enough. Kämpfer and GN-X units, hold off the trio."

I hate to say it, but a single GN-X could easily handle one of the Boosted Man trio. Just equipping two pseudo-solar reactors gave it output exceeding even battery-powered machines—no, even nuclear-powered ones. The GN-X was not a machine to be underestimated.

As we approached, the Moebius units carrying nuclear missiles gave up trying to get closer to PLANT and launched all their missiles at once. Having suffered at our hands before, they knew we were a threat. Also, there was the problem of the nukes themselves: if they accidentally detonated during combat, they would take out nearby allies as well.

"Stop them!!"

We poured all our firepower into shooting down the nuclear missiles heading for PLANT. The Freedom used METEOR, the Raphael Gundam used the powerful cannon and weapons on its backpack, and the Reborns Gundams went into cannon mode. I also used the GN Sword Bits and GN Sword of the Double O Quanta Full Saber to destroy numerous nuclear missiles.

The ships weren’t idle either. All four ships poured fire into the nuclear missiles.

KABOOOOOM—!!!

As the nuclear missiles were destroyed, the surroundings became bright, as if multiple suns had appeared. Fortunately, they were somewhat clustered, so some chain-reaction explosions made them easier to handle.

"Damage to PLANT?"

As the explosions subsided, the Aznable’s AI reported.

[None. All nuclear missiles were intercepted.]

—"Wow~!" "Phew..."

Some cheered, others sighed in relief.

"That’s good. But this isn’t the end."

—"Probably not."

"Then our course is clear. Before they launch nukes again, we subdue as many forces as possible. Focus on minimizing casualties."

—"Got it!"

—"Alright!"

We began subduing all combatants.

The Kämpfer and GN-X units were engaged in fierce battle with the Boosted Man trio. Surprisingly, the trio was holding out. Well, the trio themselves, I mean.

’The Boosted Man trio is holding out. Is this the extent of modified Boosted Men? Even against Coordinators...’

At first, I didn’t understand why machines with vastly superior output were fighting the trio on par, but watching the battle, the reason became clear.

—"Aim for the legs!"

—"I know, but it’s not easy, Captain."

—"Can’t we just destroy them?"

—"No. We’re here to stop war. We need to minimize casualties."

Andrew seemed to want to spare them.

Andrew was fighting the Forbidden Gundam. Having the Kämpfer, with its many projectile weapons, fight the Forbidden, which uses a Mirage Colloid magnetic field to refract beams, was a rational choice. The GN-X units handled the remaining Calamity Gundam and Raider Gundam.

I decided to let them be. Subduing them wouldn’t be easy, but it seemed possible, and I wanted to respect Andrew’s will.

With them handling the trio, the cleanup proceeded smoothly. Whether ZAFT or Earth Alliance, most were mass-production units and no match for us. Furthermore, we had perpetual energy sources, so our power never dropped, and we could maintain firepower continuously.

Zing—!! KABOOM!! DUDUDU—!! BAM! BANG!

The Raphael Gundam, with its overwhelming firepower, was having particular trouble with fire control.

—"Ugh... this is frustrating. I just want to sweep them all away!"

—"Hold on. It can’t be helped. Our goal is to stop war. We need to minimize casualties."

Just then, Moebius units carrying nuclear missiles began launching again from the Earth Alliance ships. The second nuclear attack had begun.

Confirming this, Lacus shouted urgently.

—"The Earth Alliance is about to launch another nuclear attack! We have to stop them!"

We stopped subduing Mobile Suits and moved to intercept the nukes, but this time, the Moebius units began launching nukes not only at PLANT but also at us.

They must have judged that as long as we existed, they could never target PLANT. However, there were also many Earth Alliance Mobile Suits in the area where we were currently fighting.

We hurriedly defended against the nukes heading for the ships and Mobile Suits first.

KABOOOM!!!

—"Are they insane?! Sacrificing their own allies too!!"

Mwu, piloting a Striker and defending the ships, was furious.

I wanted to say something too, but there was no time; I had to stop the nukes heading for PLANT.

"Stop them!!"

This time, because we hurriedly stopped the nukes heading for the ships and Mobile Suits first, it took some time, and we seemed to have missed one or two nukes heading for PLANT.

KABOOOM!!!

But fortunately, Nicol in the Zabanya Gundam, from atop the Aznable, made a precise snipe and barely intercepted the nukes we had missed.

Nicol had done a great service. I would have to upgrade Nana for her later.

—"How many nukes does the Earth Alliance have!? And having this many means they’ve been continuously producing them! The Earth Alliance couldn’t use them because they lacked the ’N-Jammer Canceller’ technology, but they’ve always been prepared to use nukes!"

Mwu, seeing the Earth Alliance using so many nuclear missiles, said that. He was probably right. Nuclear missiles aren’t something you can just easily produce. In my opinion, Blue Cosmos had been leading the continuous production of nuclear weapons.

—"Certainly..."

—"The Earth Alliance bastards are in no position to criticize ZAFT for using N-Jammer Cancellers."

Others heard Mwu’s words and agreed.

Just then, a transmission came from Captain Ledonir of the Kusanagi.

—"An unidentified Mobile Suit has launched from Yakin Due!"

Now, Rau Le Creuset was finally launching in the ’Providence Gundam,’ the final boss of Gundam SEED.

The Providence Gundam was standard-equipped with PS armor, an N-Jammer Canceller, and a nuclear engine. It also featured the DRAGOON system, a wireless all-range attack defense system.

What made the Providence terrifying was that the DRAGOON system was the core of its armament. With the DRAGOON system, it could simultaneously operate up to 11 units, a total of 43 beam pods, enabling near-perfect all-range attacks that resembled a bullet hell shooter. Unless you were exceptionally skilled, you could not face that Gundam.

I wasn’t particularly worried. We also had many Gundams that used all-range attack systems. In a way, my presence might make the Providence a Gundam that never gets to shine.

But there was a different problem.

—"High-energy reaction from Genesis! This is... Genesis is targeting Earth!"

—"No..."

Lacus confirmed the high-energy reaction and shouted urgently. The people couldn’t hide their despair.

"Damn, are Justice and Harute too late?!"

I quickly moved to position myself between Genesis and Earth.

—"Jin!!! What on earth are you doing!!!???"

As I did so, Lacus’s scream-like shout came through.

"What else? I’m going to stop it. There’s no choice. We have to save Earth."

—"But..."

"Don’t worry. It’ll work out somehow. Kira, Dearka, hold off the unidentified Mobile Suit. Nicol, support them."

—"Ah, got it..."

—"Understood, Jin."

They had no way to stop Genesis, and with Earth facing possible destruction, they had no choice but to accept it.

Anyway, I said that and arranged my GN Sword Bits into a massive circle. I gathered as many GN particles as possible from the three original solar reactors and created a thick GN Field.

As I deployed the GN Field and prepared, Genesis immediately began pouring its massive laser onto me.
