"You little fool, what’s the rush? I was just waiting for the heater to kick in before picking you up!" Evander Lancaster raised his hand and ruffled Sophia Hamilton’s hair. She, displeased, shouted, "Get off!" while wrapping her padded coat tighter and shivering.

It wasn’t particularly warm in the car, partly because the heater had just started, but her heart felt a bit warmer because of this jerk’s words.

Not hearing a response, Evander continued, "Why aren’t you talking? Is it home or my place?"

"Nonsense!" Sophia finally couldn’t hold back and snapped, "Do I dare go back looking like this!"

Evander chuckled, glanced at her, then wrapped Sophia’s hand in his palm, massaged it, brought it to his lips for a gentle kiss, then let it go but didn’t release her hand. He said indulgently,

"Got it!"

"Let go!" Sophia shook off Evander’s hand and looked ahead with impatience, then suddenly turned back to him, accusing, "Don’t you know what you’re doing is basically rape? If I report you, you’d end up in jail!"

"What nonsense are you talking about? It was consensual," Evander said nonchalantly while driving. His dismissive attitude further infuriated Sophia, who glared at him incredulously and lashed out, "You scumbag! How can you twist the truth like that? It was obviously rape, and you call it consensual?"

"Alright, you little rascal, how many times must I say it? I’ll take responsibility for you." Evander replied with a hint of exasperation, making Sophia even angrier, "I don’t need that!"

"But I do." Evander glanced at her briefly, his phoenix eyes innocent, then turned back to the road and spoke leisurely, "I’m still a virgin, never touched a woman, so now that you’ve taken my virginity, shouldn’t you take responsibility for me?"

"Who are you trying to fool?" Sophia pouted in grievance, bit her lip, and hesitated, "Who would believe that!"

Sophia’s accusations were met with Evander’s laughter, feeling very pleased, he said while driving, "I really haven’t touched a woman before, you’re the first!"

Evander pulled over by the roadside but didn’t turn off the car. He unbuckled his seatbelt, opened the car door, and got out, jogging into a convenience store in the cold wind. A few minutes later, he returned to the car with a plastic bag, tossed it into Sophia’s arms, and while buckling up again, asked, "See if these are enough."
