Mr. CEO, You Look Strangely Familiar
Chapter 215 - 213: How About I Offer Myself to You? (Part 5)
"Okay," Ethan Ellsworth acknowledged. The explosive dance music was pounding, almost deafening inside the car.
"——————"
When they arrived, they got out of the car.
Nora Ainsworth’s hair was a little messy, and the hickeys on her neck were clearly visible.
Chloe Marshall immediately went over, straightened Nora’s clothes, put her own scarf around Nora’s neck, and combed her hair. Only after checking that nothing looked out of place did they head toward the hotel together.
Quentin Grant put on his sunglasses and walked shoulder-to-shoulder with Ethan Ellsworth.
Just as they reached the hotel entrance, Zeke Marshall ran over. "Nora, hurry up! Everyone’s waiting for you and Boss Ellsworth."
Nora Ainsworth nodded. "Coming."
In the makeup room, only Ethan Ellsworth’s makeup artist was waiting. Nora Ainsworth always did her own makeup.
Quentin Grant was a little displeased.
They finished their makeup and changed their clothes.
Then, they headed to the filming location.
Seeing Quentin Grant make a rare appearance, Cecelia Willow immediately stood up to greet him. "Young Master Grant, what brings you here, busy as you are?"
"No matter how busy I am, I had to come see. What, am I not welcome?" Quentin Grant took off his glasses, and all the female staff members on set turned to look at him, their faces filled with awe.
"Young Master Grant, how could you say that? Of course I’d welcome you!" Cecelia Willow’s face was wreathed in smiles. She turned to a
staff member. "Flynn, hurry and bring a chair for Young Master Grant."
Quentin Grant walked toward the camera, with Cecelia Willow trailing behind him.
Zeke Marshall held Nora Ainsworth’s down jacket and tea cup, waiting with Chloe Marshall.
This scene was a three-person sequence.
Ryan, Ethan Ellsworth, and Nora Ainsworth.
The main plot point was that Ryan would once again try to kiss Nora Ainsworth unexpectedly. The moment their lips met, Ethan Ellsworth would see them and get jealous on the spot.
But unexpectedly, as Ryan was about to kiss Nora Ainsworth, before Ethan Ellsworth even had a chance to get jealous, Young Master Grant did!
"Stop!"
Cecelia Willow jumped in alarm and hurriedly asked, "Young Master Grant, what’s wrong?"
Quentin Grant frowned. "What kind of plot is this? Use a camera angle!"
Since he had spoken, Cecelia Willow had no choice but to have the two actors fake it.
So, they shot the scene again. But even with the camera trick, he still felt uncomfortable watching it.
It wasn’t until Ethan Ellsworth’s character saw what happened and beat Ryan half to death that Quentin Grant finally relaxed. He remarked that Ethan had done a good job this time and would be rewarded tonight.
In the show, Nora Ainsworth’s character was intelligent, sophisticated, elegant, and classy. Her every move exuded an unstoppable charm.
He couldn’t take his eyes off her.
As the scene was about to end, Sharon Ainsworth arrived with her agent and assistant. At a glance, she spotted Quentin Grant sitting next to the director.
But when she followed his gaze, her face fell.
Just for a moment, though. Then her radiant, smiling expression returned.
"Well, if it isn’t my former fiancé."
Her words instantly drew Quentin Grant’s attention. "Oh, it’s you, moron."
Sharon Ainsworth looked embarrassed. Noticing the reporters in the distance, she had to drop her old pretense. "Young Master Grant, what brings you here? Did you come to see me?"
Quentin Grant stood up, not even bothering to look at her, disdaining to say another word.
It was undoubtedly a resounding slap in the face for Sharon Ainsworth, delivered without lifting a hand.
"CUT!" Cecelia Willow shouted.
Just as Nora Ainsworth was about to turn away, Ryan said, "Nora, can I take you out to dinner?"
Ethan Ellsworth glanced back and sneered, "Only if you’re not afraid of never seeing the sun rise again."
Ryan’s heart tightened. He awkwardly tried to save face. "On second thought, maybe some other time."
After they finished filming the next two scenes, it was already five or six in the evening.
The group went to dinner together.
Quentin Grant asked, "Who’s the bastard that wanted to ask Nora out?"
Ethan Ellsworth said in a low voice, "The director’s boy toy, Ryan."
"I see."
As everyone was eating, Madam Shaw arrived.
Leaning a hand on the table, she sidled up next to Quentin Grant. "President Grant, what a rare sight."
Quentin Grant replied politely, "I hear you’re in the same production as Ethan."
"That’s right. I hope that next time President Grant invests in a script, you’ll choose me as the leading lady. I’ll be sure to repay you well." Madam Shaw’s eyes were seductive, her voice so soft it was like dripping honey.
Nora Ainsworth’s expression remained neutral, but Chloe Marshall couldn’t help but worry.
"How would you repay me?" he asked with a faint smile, his gaze drifting to Madam Shaw’s ample, barely-contained chest. "With these?"
Madam Shaw didn’t mind the audience. Her face drew so close to Quentin Grant’s that they were almost touching as she giggled coquettishly. "Anything you want, as long as you’re willing."
"Are you a virgin, then?" he asked, knowing full well the answer.
Madam Shaw’s face paled for a second before she broke into another fit of laughter. "President Grant, how could you ask me such a private question in front of everyone? You’re making me so embarrassed."
"If you’re so easily embarrassed, how could you so casually throw around the word ’repay’?" The corner of Quentin Grant’s eye subconsciously flicked toward Nora Ainsworth. Seeing her eating with perfect composure, he smiled knowingly.
Madam Shaw looked mortified. "President Grant, you’ve misunderstood my meaning."
"I’m having dinner with my friends. If you have no other business, please don’t disturb us."
This was a blatant dismissal.
"Alright then. Enjoy your meal, President Grant."
Madam Shaw had no choice but to leave.
Ethan Ellsworth glanced at her retreating figure and snorted. "She’s quite the slut, isn’t she."
Quentin Grant just smiled without saying a word.
After dinner, before leaving, Quentin Grant sent Nora Ainsworth a text message. He then got up first and went to the car. A moment later, Nora also came over and sat in the passenger seat.
"What’s up?"
"I’m taking you somewhere. I guarantee you’ll like it." He looked at her, not revealing any more details.
Nora Ainsworth didn’t ask any more questions, a faint sense of anticipation growing within her.
Tonight was Herman Hawthorne and Zoe Ellsworth’s wedding night.
Although they had already shared a bed yesterday, tonight held a different significance.
Herman Hawthorne had drunk a lot at the banquet and slept all afternoon. Meanwhile, Zoe Ellsworth tidied up their new home. She even went with a maid to the market to buy lots of groceries and had the maid cook some of his favorite dishes.
When the food was ready and he still hadn’t come downstairs, Zoe Ellsworth went up to call him herself.
But when she got upstairs, she discovered he had left the house at some point without her knowing.
She picked up her phone and called him, but there was no answer.
Zoe Ellsworth’s fiery passion turned to a cold wisp of indifference.
She sat at the dining table eating by herself, unable to stop worrying. ’Is this just the beginning?’
But another voice in her head told her that Herman Hawthorne wouldn’t treat her like this.
「Eight o’clock rolled around in the blink of an eye.」
Zoe Ellsworth called his number again, and this time, he answered quickly.
"Honey, where are you?"
"I’ll be back soon. Be good and wait for me at home." His voice was gentler than before.
Hearing this, Zoe Ellsworth felt relieved. With a girlish flourish, she blew a few kisses into the phone before hanging up.
Sure enough, five minutes later, the main gate sounded. 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺
She ran to open it. His car drove in slowly. She closed the gate, ran to the car door, and immediately linked her arm with his.
