When Xiahou Jue finally opened his eyes once more, he turned to Baili Xukong and bowed. “Thank you, milord.”

Baili Xukong hurriedly stepped forward to support him. “Did you succeed?”

He sensed that Xiahou Jue had most likely succeeded, but he wasn’t certain about it. He needed the latter to confirm the matter. If Xiahou Jue really succeeded, this would be a huge deal.

“Milord, Lord Netherworld Master’s method works. I have succeeded. With this, I can stand against even rank six Heavenly Gods. I’m confident that I’ll be able to kill Chu Feng and Xianhai Yu’er now,” Xiahou Jue replied excitedly.

But Baili Xukong frowned. “It’s good that you have grasped the secret skill, but you aren’t to resort to it unless necessary. Using the secret skill will cost your life.”

“My death will be worthwhile if I can bring down Chu Feng and Xianhai Yu’er for the Netherworld Sect,” Xiahou Jue replied.

“We don’t need you to sacrifice yourself to eliminate them. You have already promised me not to use the secret skill unless cornered.”

“Understood.”

“Now that you have grasped the secret skill, you should head over to reinforce the Seven Realms Sacred Mansion. I’ll walk you out.”

Baili Xukong personally walked Xiahou Jue out of his palace. Then, he turned to the Netherworld Sect’s elder beside him and asked, “I've been sensing another power loitering outside the barrier for some time now. What’s the situation?”

You were busy earlier, so I didn’t want to disturb you,” the elder said.

“Understood.”

The elder was about to deal with this matter when Baili Xukong suddenly stopped him.

“Wait. Why does the Redsoul Sect sound so familiar?”

“Milord, the Redsoul Sect entered God’s Era when it opened as well. They clashed with Chu Feng inside God’s Era and suffered a setback. Since then, they have harbored a grudge against Chu Feng. The elder led the way.

Several hulking warships that resembled mini cities floated neatly outside the Undying Starfield’s barrier.

Hundreds of millions of people stood on the decks of these warships, and they were dressed in red cloaks and bamboo veil hats. They were the army of the Redsoul Sect.

As a show of sincerity, the Redsoul Sect had mobilized all its elites.

This was also why the Redsoul Sect had insisted on staying put to meet Baili Xukong despite being rejected by the Netherworld Sect. They believed that they were qualified to work with the Netherworld Sect.

He had put on airs in the God’s Era as if everyone was beneath him, but he greeted Baili Xukong with a lowered posture. Yet, Baili Xukong was unmoved.

“Get this into your head. The name of the person who is going to massacre your Redsoul Sect today is Baili Xukong.”

Those words alarmed the crowd from the Redsoul Sect. They immediately knew that the situation had gone awry.

Before they could even ask for the reason, Baili Xukong thrust his palm forth, unleashing a powerful wave of martial power that devoured the Redsoul Sect’s army like a gigantic tsunami.

All Redsoul Sectmembers, regardless of their cultivation levels, disintegrated into dust before they could even let out a squeak. Even the Redsoul Sect’s sectmaster, despite being a rank two Heavenly God, died instantly.

The Netherworld Sect’s elder who led Baili Xukong was confused.

With that, he flung his sleeves and left.

The elder stood in a daze for seconds before shaking his head.

The Redsoul Sect had wanted to throw their lot in with the Netherworld Sect after realizing that they were no longer in a position of power. Little did they expect their past deeds to come back and bite them.

But this was how the world of cultivation operated.

Chu Feng put together the information pieces he had gathered in an attempt to decipher them.

The crowd stood quietly, waiting for his evaluation.

When Chu Feng finally reopened his eyes, he looked toward God’s Era and remarked, “Soon, there will be another change in God’s Era.”

The crowd quickly employed their observation means to scrutinize God’s Era, only to frown moments later. They couldn’t find any changes in God’s Era at all.
