THE FIRST thing that Cho Euntak did after getting out of the hospital was to work out.

He lost a lot of weight, even though he was only in the hospital for two weeks.

Well, he had to catch up with the lessons that he had missed. Thankfully, he didn’t miss any important exams. The worst thing that happened was that he was assigned to the ’left-over group’ of a minor subject, but he could handle something like that.

Yes, it was hard to get a hold of his group members.

It was fine, though.

I can just do the entire project on my own.

And the project was easy.

Sohee Hyung handed me his old notes.

Hence, Cho Euntak was able to focus on working out.

He was done with the gym for that day. So, he decided to run in the afternoon. There was a nice park in the neighborhood, after all.

"Hi."

Cho Euntak removed his earbuds when a man, an Alpha probably around his age, approached him with a bright smile on his face. He was sitting on a bench after finishing his last lap of the day. "Yes?"

The Alpha smiled shyly while showing his phone. "I don’t usually do this, but I can’t help myself. I can’t take my eyes off you when I saw you running earlier. Can I have your number?"

Cho Euntak blinked, slightly confused.

I’m getting hit on again?

Yes, ’again’ because it had been happening often lately.

"Oh, you’re an Omega, so you might find an Alpha like me intimidating. But, trust me, I’m a harmless Alpha."

"There’s no such thing as a harmless Alpha, though," Cho Euntak said, smiling. He wasn’t offended that he was mistaken for an Omega, but he didn’t want to have a misunderstanding either. "I would know because I’m one."

The guy obviously looked shocked. "Y-You’re an Alpha?"

Cho Euntak just smiled and nodded.

He thought that was enough for the Alpha to leave, but that didn’t seem to be the case.

Uhm, what else should I say?

"I have a boyfriend."

"And that boyfriend is here."

Cho Euntak looked over his shoulder and saw Baek Jeho standing behind him, shooting a cold look at the Alpha trying to get Cho Euntak’s number.

Since Baek Jeho looked freaking scary, it was no wonder the other Alpha ran away quietly.

"I just take my eyes off you a second, and you’re already getting hit on again," Baek Jeho said, handing Cho Euntak a bottle of cold water. Cho Euntak forgot to bring his tumbler, so he asked Baek Jeho to bring him water. "What a scary world we live in."

Cho Euntak just smiled before sipping his water.

"The girls at the gym this morning also asked for your number," Baek Jeho grumbled as he sat next to Cho Euntak. "Have you always been this popular, Euntak-ah?"

"Sohee Hyung said I looked better after losing some weight," Cho Euntak said while putting the lid back on the water bottle. "And Sera Noona said my jaw became sharper. I don’t know what it means since I don’t see the difference between my jaw then and now, but apparently, I look better overall."

Baek Jeho clicked his tongue. "They got it right."

"Should I maintain this weight?"

"It’s up to you, Euntakie. I like you either way."

Aww.

"Then I want to bulk up just a little," Cho Euntak said. "I want to improve my stamina, too. I’m annoyed that you run faster than me."

Baek Jeho chuckled while shaking his head. "You’re annoyed by silly things, babe."

"’Babe?’"

"Can’t I call you that?"

Hmm.

It was Cho Euntak’s first relationship, so naturally, it was also his first-time hearing someone call him ’babe.’

Although some people might find it cringe, he didn’t.

Surprisingly, he actually liked it.

Probably because Jeho’s voice is sexy.

"I don’t hate it," Cho Euntak said, nodding. "Okay, you can call me ’babe.’"

"Thank you," Baek Jeho said. "You can call me that, too."

"I’m still shy, so maybe later."

Baek Jeho burst out laughing, and then he suddenly squeezed Cho Euntak’s face as if he were having a cuteness aggression. "This won’t do. I need the entire world to know that you’re already committed to a very serious relationship. Otherwise, those pests won’t stop bothering you."

Pfft.

Baek Jeho’s suffering was nothing compared to the time that Cho Euntak had his heart broken, again and again, every time Baek Jeho got a new girlfriend.

But it wasn’t Baek Jeho’s fault, so Cho Euntak didn’t blame him for it.

Anyway, he noticed that his boyfriend was looking at his empty finger.

Cho Euntak could already see what Baek Jeho was thinking of.

He’s going to buy a couple ring for us, isn’t he?

Cho Euntak was busy setting the table while listening to Baek Jeho roast his father on the phone.

He had already blocked Uncle Jaedong’s number, so he was bothering Baek Jeho now.

Uncle Jaedong is trying to make me drop the charges against Kim Minjae.

"Euntak-ah, if my father shows up when I’m not there, call the police first," Baek Jeho said, hugging Cho Euntak from behind. "Then call me."

"I’m sorry."

"Don’t say sorry for something you didn’t do," Cho Euntak scolded Baek Jeho. "Plus, I’m totally fine now. I heard from my parents that the trial is going in our favor. Aside from getting Kim Minjae-ssi’s license revoked, jail time is also inevitable. Our lawyers did say that Kim Minjae-ssi will serve time for only a year, though. As you know, our country treasures Alphas so much that they tend to have lighter punishments, no matter the crime."

Baek Jeho clicked his tongue, obviously not satisfied with the light sentence.

But what could they do?

One year in jail was the maximum punishment for the crime Kim Minjae committed.

Apparently, it helped that Kim Minjae surrendered and pleaded guilty, saying that he thought he was doing me a favor, insisting that he meant no harm.

Haaah.

Cho Euntak just let his anger go.

At least, Kim Minjae would serve time.

As long as Kim Minjae-ssi and Uncle Jaedong stay away from me, I’m fine.

Cho Euntak didn’t want to dwell on it any longer.

Especially since he had something more important to do now.

With Baek Jeho, of course.

"Jeho-ya."

"Hmm?"

"I asked Dr. Seong," Cho Euntak said nervously. "He said I can have sex now that I’m 100% healthy."

"Oh."

No, it wasn’t a lukewarm reaction coming from Baek Jaeho.

After all...

"Jeho-ya, what’s that hard thing poking my hips?"

Of course, Cho Euntak knew that it was Baek Jeho’s erection.

But he wanted to tease his boyfriend.

I love that I can make Jeho feel aroused with just my words.

Baek Jeho groaned in complaint, his arms around Cho Euntak’s waist loosening up. "Let me borrow your bathroom for a moment, babe."

And Cho Euntak burst out laughing.
