If circumstances allowed, Evelyn Ford even felt like standing on the stern and reciting a poem.

"Holy shit."

A huge wave crashed over them, smacking Evelyn right in her pale face. Not only did her mouth fill with salty, brackish water, but she was now a complete drowned rat.

Thankfully, Ronan Kendrick’s boating skills were becoming more and more refined. He sent the assault boat soaring ten meters through the air before it slammed back down. Evelyn bounced twice, feeling like her tailbone had shattered.

The orcas were still in relentless pursuit. Seeing Ronan’s complete lack of interest in fighting back, Evelyn could guess their numbers were overwhelming.

Evelyn sighed for the nth time. ’If only I could put living things in my space.’

Orcas were fast. During a chase, they could reach speeds of forty-eight kilometers per hour.

Watching the three orcas leaping through the air behind them, Evelyn mourned her impending doom.

’Wait a minute...’

’I think I still have a lot of leftover poison in my space.’ Without hesitation, Evelyn pulled out a pile of items: poison, pepper spray, gas canisters, and even a propane tank.

"Ronan, I’m going to throw some small fish over to lure them in," Evelyn shouted. "The moment an orca leaps out of the water and opens its mouth, I’ll throw the propane tank. You have to accelerate immediately. It’s the only way we can shake them!"

Ronan Kendrick frowned. "That’s very dangerous."

"I know what I’m doing. To keep from getting thrown off, I’ll tie us together with a hemp rope."

With that, Evelyn shifted her position, sitting back-to-back with Ronan.

She then took out a hemp rope and tied them tightly together. "Consider yourselves lucky to get my salvaged little pink fish."

Evelyn tossed out a basin of fish. The three orcas roared and shot out of the water, fighting for the prey. At that very instant, Evelyn had already lit the propane tank and, with all her might, hurled it outwards.

"Here’s a big present for you!"

"Ronan, go!"

A series of massive BOOMS erupted from the water’s surface. The deafening explosion left Evelyn’s ears ringing instantly. Amidst several furious roars, one orca was blown to pieces, flesh and blood flying everywhere, while the other two fled in terror.

The assault boat had already traveled several kilometers before the thunderous noise behind them gradually subsided. Only then did Evelyn lift her head and toss a piece of orca flesh that had landed on her back into the water.

"Evelyn?" Ronan reached out to pull her up, and Evelyn intertwined her fingers with his.

"I’m fine. My ears are just ringing a little. Let me recover for a bit."

Her ears were filled with a constant buzzing. Evelyn untied the hemp rope and started cleaning the chunks of flesh and bailed out the water that had splashed into the assault boat.

However, besides orcas, this stretch of sea also had megalodons, man-eating sharks, saltwater crocodiles, giant squids...

For the next several dozen hours, the two were hunted by all sorts of marine creatures and at one point, even fell into the deep sea.

Thankfully, the rope binding them together kept them from being separated. But when they surfaced, Evelyn discovered their assault boat had been destroyed. She had no choice but to take out a new one and continue their escape.

Evelyn took out alcohol and Poison Powder, coating the Crossbow Arrows with them.

But she didn’t have enough strength. Evelyn moved to the front to pilot the boat, handing the Crossbow to Ronan to shoot the great white shark behind them. 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

Fortunately, Ronan was not only strong but also an excellent shot. Although one arrow couldn’t kill it, the alcohol on the Crossbow Arrow had been set on fire, and with the added Poison Powder, its death was certain.

Evelyn leaned over the side of the boat, sticking her fingers down her throat to vomit. She had just swallowed a lot of seawater again, and the ocean probably contained billions of bacteria. She did not want to get diarrhea.

’Getting diarrhea out at sea would definitely be a spectacular sight.’

"Your knee is injured," Ronan said, his expression grim. "Treat it immediately. The water in this area is filthy."

Evelyn wasn’t afraid of much, but she was terrified of infections. Hearing this, she immediately took out fresh water to clean the wound, applied hemostatic powder, and then wrapped it tightly with gauze.

The pursuit behind them had paused for now. Their clothes, once soaked with seawater, had dried, but they were stiff and covered in a layer of salt crystals.

"We can’t wear these clothes anymore. They’re covered in sea salt."

Mina and Lola had also become drowned rats. Evelyn still felt a pang of regret for the destroyed assault boat. "What a waste of that engine."

Ronan suddenly stood up. "Evelyn, I think I see an island."

Evelyn couldn’t believe it. "An island?"

Her clothes weren’t even properly on yet. She grabbed a pair of binoculars and looked in the direction Ronan was pointing. Several kilometers away, a small island stood in the middle of the sea.

Evelyn stared blankly. It had been nearly a month. A month of drifting at sea, and they had finally seen an island.

Although it looked tiny, Evelyn was so excited her eyes turned red.

"This is great! We can finally get on land!"

At that moment, Evelyn didn’t yet realize that she and Ronan were about to become the next Robinsons.

An hour later, the assault boat arrived in front of a small island. It was even smaller than Evelyn had imagined, but it had everything it needed. Not only were there trees and flowers, but Evelyn also saw a coconut tree.

’Is this normal?’

’For an island to suddenly appear in the middle of this vast ocean, and for it to be so full of life and bursting with the vitality of spring?’

But Evelyn couldn’t be bothered to think about that now. The moment the assault boat touched the shore, she scrambled out like a madwoman.

"It’s a real coconut tree! Ronan, look! There are five coconuts on it!"

Ronan dragged the assault boat onto the island. A great white shark that had been chasing them could only roar in frustration in the water.

Evelyn planted her hands on her hips and burst out laughing on the shore.

"Come on! Come and get me! You can’t, nyah nyah nyah..."

Ronan... ’Has Evelyn lost her mind? Or did the seawater get to her brain?’

He walked up to Evelyn with a serious expression, took her head in his hands, and gave it a couple of shakes.

Now it was Evelyn’s turn to be stunned.

"Ronan, what’s wrong with you?"

Ronan coughed. "Nothing. Just giving you a hug. Let’s go find some flat ground."

Evelyn snapped her fingers. "Right, find some flat ground, put out the wooden house. We need a good rest. This past month has been miserable. I’ve lost more than ten pounds."

Evelyn lifted up her shirt. Ronan’s gaze fell on her flat stomach, and his Adam’s apple bobbed twice.

Mina and Lola had already flown off into the woods. Ronan said the island was very safe, which finally put Evelyn’s mind at ease.

They found a flat area, cleared away the surrounding trees, and Evelyn put out the wooden house.

"Next up: desert island survival."

Evelyn looked out at the boundless sea, a flicker of hope rising in her heart. ’Maybe Quincy and Officer Graham found an island too.’

The island was small, only three or four hundred square meters.

Once the wooden house was placed, the entire island instantly looked like a tourist resort.

Evelyn walked into the wooden house. The familiar surroundings stirred up complicated feelings.

It was exactly three o’clock in the afternoon. Evelyn went into the bathroom to take a shower. Ronan did a lap around the island to confirm it was safe before returning to the wooden house.

"Ronan, you should go take a shower and change your clothes too."

Seeing Ronan busying himself, Evelyn walked over to him, her hair still dripping wet.

Ronan took the towel from her hand and began to dry Evelyn’s shoulder-length hair.
