Chapter 1574: Chapter 1156: Interlude

Today’s camp is the Transcend Building, which is the former base of the Transcend Sect. The Transcend Building was fortunate enough to be hidden underground, thus narrowly escaping Senluo’s apocalypse. Although the internal facilities are completely damaged and many floors have collapsed, the few floors near the ground are still intact and can be inhabited.

Ash briefly searched through the Transcend Building yesterday before entering Fantasy Hell, preparing to delve deeper into the collapsed floors in the afternoon to continue searching for traces of Igula and Harvey. The traces he accumulated over the past two months were completely exhausted in last night’s exploration. Even though Ash wished he could immediately head to Fantasy Hell to find those two bastards, he had to patiently re-accumulate his exploration quota for Hell.

After taking three minutes to finish bathing, Ash came to the hall, towel-drying his hair, and saw Felix fiddling with several triangular conical flasks in an experiment. The liquid in the flasks emitted pink bubbles, a lemon-like yellow glow, and one even resembled orange juice.

Ash approached curiously and asked: "Are you making potions?"

"Yes."

He picked up the conical flask that looked like it was holding fruit juice, planning to sniff it: "What potion is this? Is it tasty?"

"A potion that would forcefully make a person madly diarrhea to death," Felix said. "The taste is probably not great, I added urea in it."

As soon as she finished speaking, Ash retreated ten meters away, covering his mouth with a towel, and anxiously said, "I think it’s best not to perform such high-risk production in the hall."

"Just kidding," Felix laughed, "I make real poisons outdoors. What you just picked up is an orange-flavored drink. Haven’t you been complaining about running out of drinks these days? I’m figuring out how to make lemon tea and orange juice."

"Your joke successfully destroyed my craving for orange juice."

"Your love life has destroyed my beautiful imagination of romance, and I haven’t even complained," Felix said. "Come here and drink the orange juice, give it a rating."

"You haven’t complained? Several times you broke my defenses, and you say you haven’t complained?!"

"Alright, alright, don’t hold grudges like a child, come and try the taste."

Seeing Ash’s hesitant expression, Felix grabbed the conical flask and took a sip herself, then stuffed it into Ash’s hand. Ash looked at the mouth of the bottle, hesitated, "Maybe give me a cup, so we don’t accidentally kiss indirectly..."

Therefore, Ash saw Felix’s highly disdainful expression of ’I don’t care if you care about a damn,’ feeling that the respect he held in her mind diminished a few more degrees. He took a sip and commented, "It would be about right if it were cold."

"Try this cup of lemon tea."

"It’s slightly bitter; I prefer it sweeter."

"Then I’ll try using black tea..."

Ash glanced at the conical flask emitting pink bubbles, picked it up, and sniffed it: "What’s this drink? It smells like flowers."

"Aphrodisiac."

"Oh, so it’s... huh?!" Ash startled and quickly placed it down, expelling the breath he just inhaled, "Why are you making aphrodisiac?"

"Someone needs it."

"I don’t need it!" Ash was furious, "You underestimate me! I can please them without aphrodisiac!"

Felix looked at him, intending to speak yet refraining, intending again.

Ash startled, a thought hard to believe crossed his mind, "Is this bottle of aphrodisiac something someone ordered from you?"

"I advise you not to delve into it," Felix said calmly. "Life would be much happier knowing nothing. But I can assure you, the aphrodisiac I make is healthy and positive. Even if you drink it all, you won’t experience any discomfort. If used in small amounts, it can effectively improve the quality of your romantic life."

Ash depressingly put down the conical flask and asked, "Is there anything you need me to help with?"

"You haven’t given me your report yet." Felix added various powders to the test tubes, "Didn’t like any of yesterday’s photos?"

"You saw what my tent looked like early this morning," Ash said grumpily, "How do I have the time to evaluate your photos?"

"Yes, it’s indeed hard to forget the situation this morning," Felix said faintly. "The impact on an ignorant girl like me is immeasurable. I’m not unaware of what happened last night, but my mistake is in thinking everything should have ended come morning. But your indulgence far exceeds my imagination. Even if Silver Lamp is your Divine Being, I still think you overdid it, yet early in the morning you’re—"

"I’ll evaluate your photos now." Ash promptly activated the Light Screen of the Miracle Bracelet, "I deeply regret discussing my romantic life with you. I’m now so embarrassed I could dig a three-bedroom apartment with my toes."

"So, how is it?" Felix asked.

Ash’s expression was complex. Displayed on his Light Screen are two photos: one of a pure white Holy Daughter wearing a blindfold, lying on the ground covered in mud splashes; the other resembles a badly injured female warrior on the run, her entire clothing is tattered, similarly covered in mud splashes, and her skin was dirty and stained.

It’s clear the theme of both images is ’dirt’ and ’battle damage,’ placing beautiful things in dirty places. Ash swore he never had this interest before, but upon seeing Felix’s selfies, he felt as if a region in his mind was activated, and his heart began to race.

"...Very attractive."

"I know it’s attractive, after all, it’s me," Felix said, as expected, "The point is, do you feel desire?"

"...Yes."

"Based on mild, regular, and intense, which level would you say it is?"

"...Intense."

"Hmm." Felix opened his Miracle Bracelet to make a note, casually saying, "You’ve been giving ’intense’ more frequently lately."

That’s because your interest development in me is becoming more precise!

Ash felt like a lab rat being thoroughly understood by Felix through risqué pictures, making him feel strangely embarrassed. Over the past two months, Felix had made him realize he had so many hidden interests and hobbies. He didn’t know he was such a pervert; now, the next time he’s scolded, he can’t confidently refute it.

Actually, after that long night, Ash thought the Sword Maiden and the others would talk to Felix about the selfies, although Felix’s intentions were good, the method was too strange. However, whether the Sword Maiden and the others forgot or for other reasons, Felix’s selfie plan continued as usual, sending him various styles of selfies every day.

Ash had also firmly refused, stating that he and the operators already had a refined reward and punishment system and didn’t need any extra casting materials. But Felix said, "It’s not like you get reward time every day, and every time you use one of my pictures, it means they’re spared from a major brainless mishap."—She really knew how to grasp every opportunity to teasingly provoke Ash.

"Is there any custom clothing pose you want?" Felix asked, "I guess you might like me dressing up as the Supreme Star."

"I’m begging you, please don’t." Ash sincerely pleaded, "Is there any housework I need to do? If not, I’ll head to the ruins below."

"Mop the floor." Felix pointed at the mop, "I don’t know how many days you’ll stay here, so it’s better to keep the floor clean."

"Okay."

"Wait, come over here."

When Ash came over, Felix looked around to make sure no one was there, unzipped her jacket, and revealed the lace lingerie inside. Even though Ash immediately looked away, Felix got the reaction she desired, slowly zipped up, and said in a cheerful tone, "Alright, I understand, you can go mop the floor now."

Ash gave her a no-nonsense look and went off with the mop to clean. He never stopped Felix; the main reason wasn’t because he wanted to look—he discovered that Felix seemed to really enjoy this hobby.

She was absorbed in studying various clothing combinations, environmental setups, lighting and poses, enjoying capturing her most stunning moments, and her selfie skills visibly improved rapidly. Since taking up this hobby, Felix’s mood had been vibrantly healthy, a complete change from the depressive little creature she was before.

Defecting from her country, opposing the Dazzling Star, and rushing through a world already perished—such circumstances piled considerable stress even on Ash, let alone Felix, a Holy Sanctuary Mage. Since she found a hobby that relieved her stress, Ash had no reason to ruin her little joy, even though she always claimed, "The Observer just loves to watch." Ash let it be.

However, up to this day, Ash has actually started to look forward to what surprises she’ll bring him.

Dragging the mop to the kitchen, Ash pushed the door and in his first glance saw the back of a pink-haired maid. Vishi was at the kitchen counter chopping vegetables and processing ingredients. Hearing the sound, she glanced sideways at him, then continued preparing today’s lunch.

The team now took turns cooking with Vishi, Felix, and Dedarose, each person’s cuisine preferences being different to maintain freshness daily. As usual, Vishi wore a backless maid outfit, her pink-haired twin tails falling at her sides, her straight legs in over-the-knee black stockings pressed together without a gap.

Ash watched her for a while, then cleaned the kitchen floor. As he mopped, he suddenly turned Vishi around, set aside the knife she was holding, and in her bewildered gaze, lifted her onto the kitchen counter. This way, her bosom naturally faced Ash’s face, and he could bury himself in her soft beauty.

Under Vishi’s slightly nervous gaze, Ash went back to pick up the mop to clean the floor where she had been standing.

"..." Vishi angrily bit her lower lip, wishing to send this bastard flying with a kick to his skull.

"Hold on, don’t get down yet, it’s not done." Ash instructed, and after he cleaned the kitchen floor, he put the mop aside and closed the door.

He placed his hands on the edge of the kitchen counter, looking at Vishi who sat on it, "You were watching the whole time last night."

"I’m not love-crazed," Vishi pouted, "I’m not interested in vying for your affection."

"But why do I feel like you’re being excluded by them, not even finding a gap to make a deal?" Ash sighed, "It’s been two months, how come you, the Ghost Prophet, haven’t gotten along with them?"

"If you dropped dead suddenly, I’d definitely get along with them," Vishi crossed her legs, grumbling, "Or you could break my restraints and let me use a bit of Soul Miracle to improve relationships with them..."

"Don’t even think about it." Ash snapped, "You’re supposed to be a Prophetic Demigod, yet you can’t even see through others’ thoughts. I think you should just stay as a maid."

"Who says I can’t see through others’ thoughts?"

"Oh really? Then why did I lift you onto the kitchen counter?"

Wasn’t it to tease me... Vishi blinked and saw Ash watching her with a smile, his lips tightly pressed, looking a bit bashful yet also somewhat compensatory.

"...It’s lunch time in 45 minutes."

"Based on your cooking speed," Ash said casually, "I’ll determine how much additional celebration time to allocate."

"It will probably take about 30 minutes." Vishi leaned to whisper in his ear, "But if I’m in a good mood, 15 minutes might be enough."
