Legendary Beast Tamer: Starting With Legendary Rank Sword
Chapter 118: Commence
Mia enjoyed a lot in sight-seeing inside the dojo. She was also greeted a lot by disciples, elating her.
Seeing her enjoying, Felix and Krisha smiled.
Felix said, "Are you ready to watch the duel between me and Krisha?"
Mia turned towards Felix and nodded hastily.
Felix chuckled.
Krisha said, "You must enjoy your brief time here, Mia. We’ll be leaving after our duel."
Mia was surprised. She felt her mood was spoiled for a bit.
"I understand," she said. She was already aware that they must leave soon.
Felix had already expected her reaction. He caressed her head and said, "We don’t have a choice. We still have to prepare in our travel in the next city. We have to help Mommy and Daddy settle all the documents."
Hearing they would travel to another city, Krisha’s mood was brightened. She was aware that traveling to a city was only possible if you were rich—the expense was something not an ordinary family could cover.
She was filled with vigor now than ever, causing Felix and Krisha to smile.
"Will you be going with us?" asked Mia to Krisha.
Krisha glanced at Felix and nodded at her.
Mia joyfully raised her arms and hugged Krisha tightly, causing the latter to widen her smile.
"Yehey!" Mia exclaimed.
Felix and Krisha glanced at each other and chuckled. Krisha had already accepted Felix’s invitation to join them throughout the travel. As a daughter of the mayor, she had the privilege to attend to such event due to her status.
They enjoyed their time here as best as they could until the fateful third duel arrived.
Mia was accompanied by Ben, who was so respectful and polite to her.
Ben was talkative while Mia was listening attentively, with amusing expressions that conveyed how engaged she was, causing Ben to feel more motivated in sharing information about Felix and Krisha ever since they arrived in the dojo.
Meanwhile, Felix and Krisha was staring at each other and the modular terrain floor was the packed sand.
The silence lasted for dozens of seconds until Felix and Krisha frowned and glanced at Instructor Frank.
To their surprised, it wasn’t Instructor Frank but Master Shen.
He smiled at both of them and said, "Commence."
As soon as they heard him, they hastily summoned their beast pets and began attacking with each other.
Master Shen were having the best time of his life. He witnessed first hand how powerful Krisha’s sword techniques, causing him to ponder about asking Felix to give him a sword techniques suited for him.
If he could improve it like what Krisha did, then he might further strengthen himself.
However, as he continued to watch them exchanging sword strikes one after another, while their beast pets were also engaged in a duel, Master Shen shook his head and smiled.
I have already solidified my foundation, unlike them, who can still adapt and improve by taking the time to do so. It’s really envious, but I must admit I don’t belong to their generation.
Master Shen had already developed Sword Intent with the help of the sword techniques he produced over the years. Changing the sword techniques he created ever since he was a kid made him hesitate and felt bitter.
As he watched Felix and Krisha showcased their sword techniques, he recalled the time he pondered about creating his own sword techniques at the age of 12.
He was frustrated when reading and learning of the sword techniques produced over the history. The lack of sword techniques as the humanity was more focused on beast taming exasperated him even more.
Hence, he spent most of his time, meditating, pondering about the sword techniques he wanted. Until he came upon with the philosophy of ending the battle in one strike—prolonging it through countless exchanges simply meant the battle was already a failure.
Since there were beast pets who fought for him, how about he’d take the decisive final strike to prevent his beast pets from exhausting their energy and stamina?
That was how he came upon with the Mist-Splitting Line. He had only mastered it when he reached 18. When he summoned his first beast pet, that was then he was exhilarated that his sword technique complimented with his first beast pet and would certainly become a historical sword technique.
When he was about to enter college, that was when he decided to challenge dojos with his sword technique.
He defeated more of their disciples than being defeated, until he made a name on himself. After he graduated from college, he was deployed into the battlefield for five years and earned enough merit to finally establish a dojo and teach the future generation how to fight properly with the swords.
Of course, his dojo started as small, but his reputation was not insignificant. In the span of two years, he had fully rooted his dojo as one of the biggest dojo in the Chambers City, with the graduates securing a General position in the army.
Although Felix and Krisha made his dojo a laughing stock after his disciples couldn’t defeat them, he didn’t blame them.
He was simply reminded of his youth where he defeated even their dojo master until the dojo was forcibly closed.
Of course, the dojo existed in the upper outer ring.
Watching Felix and Krisha fought against each other to prove who was stronger made him recall some figures that shaped his life.
Master Shen was last in thought that he failed to respond after Felix successfully struck Krisha’s nape, instantly knocking her unconscious.
Since Felix had practiced hard to control the River Strike, he was confident he had only knocked Krisha unconscious.
He grabbed her body before she might accidentally buried her face into the packed sand and glanced at Master Shen.
Master Shen simply smiled and, with a single step, arrived beside them and checked Krisha’s condition.
Instantly, he glanced at Felix and said, "Superb control of restrain. She’s just unconscious and had expended a lot of energy and stamina. Let her take a rest for an hour."
Felix sighed in relief. He nodded at Master Shen and exclaimed. "Thank you, Master Shen!"
