Michael was slightly surprised at that. Still, he was curious about who it was that had come to visit him.

So, he asked Onyx to give him the information regarding who had come to visit him. And when Onyx revealed who had come to visit him, Michael’s expression shifted, turning slightly cold.

Without hesitation, he increased the speed at which he was driving, rushing back towards the residential community. He did not know what had brought them to him, but he definitely didn’t expect them to come looking for him this soon.

But it seemed to be expected? After all, judging by what he had done previously, it seemed inevitable that they would come looking for him.

At the moment, Michael did not care if they came or not. It was just, what kind of attitude would they display? It would be their attitude that would determine their fate.

A few minutes later Michael returned to Villa number 5. Even though he had rushed over, he still went ahead and parked the Audi into the garage, before he entered the villa.

The moment that he arrived in the living room, he found that there were two men sitting in the living room, looking around. Each one of them seemed to have their own thoughts, and one of them seemed to be a little nervous.

One of the men hard black hair and blue eyes, with a slightly muscular physique. As for the other man, well, old man, he had similar features, black hair and blue eyes. It was just that his black hair had a mix of gray within, about 1/3 of it, showing his age.

He had quite a bulky frame, even more pronounced as compared to the younger man, despite the wrinkles that could be seen on his face.

At the exact instant that the two noticed Michael entering, they each displayed varied expressions. The old man revealed a gentle smile, while the middle-aged man frowned slightly.

As for how these two had entered, Michael had instructed one of his clones to allow them in.

And, the middle-aged man was obviously displeased by the fact that they had been made to wait, and they had not been served anything ever since they entered.

"Well, you look just like your father." The old man spoke first.

Michael raised his brows slightly, but he did not react much to the old man’s words. Instead, he just sat opposite the two men, before going straight to the point, "What brings you here?"

The old man seemed a little disappointed, but the smile on his face did not disappear. Instead, within the depths of his eyes, some shades of melancholy could be seen.

Michael was capable of reading the expression and emotions of a person, which immediately made him understand that the old man was sad about the way that he acted.

Regardless, Michael did not care about what kind of reaction these two people had. To him, they did not hold any special place in his heart, to the extent that he would care about their wellbeing.

Upon hearing Michael’s question, the middle-aged man was infuriated. In a stern voice, he asked, "Michael, is this how you talk to your grandpa? Even if we have never been there with you during the time that you were growing up, still, he is an elder. You sho-"

But just as Newton was intending to continue giving Michael a good scolding, he was interrupted by a snort from Matthew.

"Hmph! Can you shut up?! You know what brought us here, so, don’t make things worse than they already are!" The old man’s voice was authoritative, immediately shutting Newton up.

This development was slightly unexpected to Michael, but just like before, he did not have much of a reaction to this.

Immediately after scolding his son, Matthew looked at Michael silently. And after a while, he said, "Michael, it is our fault that we did not pay attention to you when you needed us. You lost your father, yet, nobody was there for you at that time.

I know, our appearance here right now seems to be a mix of opportunism, hypocrisy, emotional convenience, and even conditional loyalty.

But I would like us to clear some misunderstandings between us. Even if you are not willing to come back to the Santos family, at least, we should not be considered as enemies."

Michael did not respond, as he waited for the old man to continue. Still, in his heart, he wondered, what kind of misunderstanding could exist between them?

The death of his parents was related to the Santos family. From the start, they never agreed to the marriage between his father and mother, which led to the couple eloping to a small city.

But years later, despite his parents showing no signs of ever returning to the capital, they still were hunted down, being killed with an excuse of a bank heist.

Michael had done his own research, and knew that his father had no interest in the family affairs. Most of the things were handled by Newton, which implied that Zachary was no threat to Newton to the position of the next family head.

This was why he found it baffling that Newton would send someone to kill Zachary. And more than that, this old man had the audacity to claim that there was a misunderstanding between them?

It was good enough that Michael had not yet struck the Santos family, despite having the ability to. Definitely, it was impossible for no enmity to exist between them, unless they could somehow revive his parents.

And it was only when he thought about this that he suddenly realized, maybe he could? Even though it had already been years since they passed away, maybe there was a method that he could use to bring them back.

From his understanding, science fiction was usually quite exaggerated. It would not be impossible to find that there was a movie or a novel concept that brought about the issue of reviving someone from the dead.

Of course, that method had to be the type that would bring back the person, not a zombie. Or maybe, if they came back to life, they should act like how they had been before they died, instead of bringing different people, with the same appearance as his parents.

They had done a lot for him, yet he had never gotten a chance to repay them. So, if there was a chance for him to bring them back to life, he would definitely not hesitate to do that.

But of course, he understood, even if that ability was there, the cost of bringing back someone from the dead would not be low. Still, no matter how high the cost, Michael was willing to pay the price.

Seeing Michael remaining silent, Matthew sighed as he continued, "Today, we came here to try to understand what happened, from your point of view, and if we can make amends for that."

Michael raised his brows slightly at the old man’s words. From the way that this old man was speaking, Michael could clearly tell that he was not lying. It seemed that he was genuine, claiming that he did not understand what had happened.

Probably, the old man thought that Michael did not want to associate himself with the Santos family because they did not care about him when his parents had passed away. While that could have been the case, if his parents had passed away naturally, it really wasn’t at the moment.

In fact, even if they were not involved in the death of his parents, Michael would obviously not accept them when they came looking for him. After all, they only came to look for him after he had made something of himself.

As long as this issue could be handled, and the old man could continue staying healthy, then, Newton was willing to beg Michael to return.

"Seriously? Do you even understand why I don’t want to come back? No, I have never been to the Santos family to begin with. So, do you understand why I don’t want to come to the Santos family?" Michael asked with furrowed brows.
