CLANG!

SHHHHHH!

The sand scraped the glass, but it didn’t manage to pierce it in the slightest.

"Wow... These defenses are something else. I’m glad you picked the right people, Yuelan."

She puffed out her chest.

"Naturally, your younger sister has quite the palate when it comes to talent."

Xuan rolled his eyes at her comment and glanced outside the glass barrier. There were dozens of people surrounding the barrier, and all of them wore distinct loose clothes with dozens of golden jewelry pieces. They also had a single slab of refined gold embedded in the very center of their foreheads.

It didn’t look that weird. If anything, it looked like a perfect third eye.

And naturally, Xuan assumed these people worshipped the Three Eyed Angel, the same being he and the rest of his party had been looking for.

If possible, they might actually be able to lead them to the Three Eyed Angel, at which point, the six of them would kill it and be done with this dungeon.

...Ideally.

"Hello! We don’t mean any harm!" Xuan yelled.

Yuelan elbowed him.

"What if they don’t understand Chinese?"

"Have you seen a single person who hasn’t understood a word we said?" Xuan retorted.

She just shrugged.

"True."

The sand attacks continued, and seeing how the barrier was slowly cracking, Xuan knew that Hua Lian and Huang Shuying wouldn’t be able to hold out for long.

So with that in mind, he decided to take matters into his own hands.

Xuan took a deep breath, and in the next instant, infused Qi into his feet. The ground distorted, and before any of the fancy-dressed people could react, Xuan was already behind them, having used Void Step.

And of course, as he stared at the back of one of the fancy-dressed people, Xuan held back the urge to just slash their neck in two. Instead, he went with the friendlier option, which was the good old-fashioned kick in the balls, infused with Void Qi.

The moment his foot struck the family jewels of the man, a loud crack resounded, followed by every single cultivator present turning toward the commotion. When they saw their fellow brother slump over with a lifeless look, and then noticed Xuan standing over him, their gazes grew cold.

"This human... I knew we should’ve killed them earlier."

"Brother Zhi... You will pay!"

The cultivators began dashing toward Xuan at ridiculous speeds. Each one was so fast that he was sure that their cultivation stages were no less than top-tier Spirit Masters.

But to Xuan, who had not had much time to warm up, he found their advances as perfect practice. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

Blades and arrows arrived before him. Even the ground sank slightly as his movement was slowed. And yet, by infusing pure Elemental Qi into his feet, causing the ground under his feet to crack and form a small ravine that sucked in every single person who had been approaching him.

And to top it all off, as the cultivators began to fall into that small ravine, Xuan extended his hand forward and used the Spatial Devour skill. The same swords and arrows circled around him like a shield, and his Spiritual Energy kept him in the air.

Whereas the cultivators jumped from one end of the ravine to the next, trying to get back up. They failed, and with each failure, the ravine got bigger and bigger, until eventually, it spanned several hundred meters wide, and god knew how many kilometers deep.

All Xuan knew was that the only cultivator present here who hadn’t fallen was the one who had latched himself onto the wall and shot arrows at him.

That very same cultivator, however, froze when Xuan reappeared in front of him, grabbed his neck, and forced him back down to the ground.

"Guh! I’ll talk! I swear!"

Xuan tilted his head slightly and put his foot over the man’s neck. Then, he glanced over at Yuelan and the others who were slightly approaching.

"That was pretty impressive, big brother. It was very bold to take away his manhood though."

Xuan shrugged.

"We’re cultivators. It’ll grow back probably."

"I can assure you, it doesn’t grow back or recover," Hanbi chimed in, coughing once.

Everyone turned toward her, so she added:

"There are a few vitals that don’t regenerate normally. F-Family jewels are also included."

"Uh-huh..."

Yuelan scratched her cheek.

"Well, I remember reading that eunuchs circulate Qi better, so maybe he’ll thank us later."

"Can we focus on what’s important, please?" Sierra said with a sigh.

Then, she pointed at Xuan, and especially at the man who Xuan had under his foot.

"Question him, and be careful. It looks like you’re about to crush his skull."

"Whoops."

Xuan let go of the man, and he immediately rose to his feet. He drew a sword from his back and aimed it at the six of them.

Though, when he realized that none of them were threatened by him, he just clicked his tongue and dropped the sword to the ground.

"I give up."

"Nice. Now, do you know where the Three Eyed Angel is?" Xuan asked.

The man froze for a moment.

"Why do you want to know about our deity?"

"We’re the ones asking questions here, my friend," Yuelan replied, her smile growing more sinister.

"So if you wish to keep your family jewels intact, I suggest you move that mouth."

"R-Right... The Three Eyed Angel is our deity. He guards us from his throne atop the highest peak, and he grants us partial immortality whenever we come of age."

The man lowered his head.

"Whatever you want from our deity, I can assure you, you’ll never be able to meet him as outsiders are not even allowed inside the city."

Hmm...

At the very least, Xuan now knew that the Three Eyed Angel was a legit being.

Though, Xuan also had his doubts.

Back when he first faced that old sack of shit in the camp, he portrayed the Three Eyed Angel as a demonic and powerful being, probably way above everyone’s imagination.

So now, why would this being be chilling on top of a mountain and giving handouts?

Clearly, Sierra felt the same as she soon chimed in.

"I believe this dungeon’s called the ’tomb’ of the Three Eyed Angel for a reason."
