I Transmigrated as a Villainess to Raise Babies, and My Beast Husbands Are Fighting Madly Over Me!
Chapter 197: You Want Me to Be Obedient? Who Do You Think You Are?
The color drained from Qiao Xixi’s face as she pulled Qiao Qiao back with her.
"Don’t you come over here!"
The more terrified Qiao Xixi looked, the more scornful Fengxuan became. "Don’t be afraid. You’re still useful, so I won’t kill you. As long as you do as you’re told."
The moment Fengxuan finished speaking, stone slabs suddenly slammed down, blocking the door and window and sealing every exit.
The room instantly grew dim.
"You want me to do as I’m told? Who the hell do you think you are?" Qiao Xixi’s cold, grim voice rang out. Fengxuan’s expression shifted. He felt a sharp, piercing pain in his calf, and a moment later, the world started to spin. He collapsed to the ground, completely unconscious.
The White Tiger Males and other beastmen who had followed Fengxuan in also collapsed in an instant.
In the darkness, a series of clicks and clacks could be heard. A moment later, the stone slabs blocking the window and door were raised, and the room was once again filled with light.
Fengxuan and the other beastmen lay collapsed on the floor. 𝕗𝐫𝐞𝕖𝕨𝐞𝗯𝚗𝕠𝘃𝐞𝚕.𝐜𝗼𝚖
Qiao Ang and Sangqi gazed in astonishment at the syringes in their hands.
"Mother, this powerful anesthetic works really well! Just one quick jab and they all went down."
Qiao Xixi winced at the thought of the cost. She had traded 200 points for those powerful anesthetics. The little imp had said one shot could take down a Mutated Elephant Beast, and that even a high-star-rank beastman wouldn’t be able to handle it.
As they were speaking, several tall Hua Bao males walked in.
"Clan Leader, are you alright?"
Qiao Xixi shook her head. "I’m fine. Lock them all up in the dungeon and keep them under strict guard."
"Yes."
The Hua Bao males led Fengxuan and the others away.
Feiyan rushed back just in time to see Fengxuan and the others being led away. The color drained from his face. "What’s going on? Where is the Clan Leader?"
"The Clan Leader is inside. She’s fine."
Hearing this, Feiyan turned and ran into the room.
Qiao Xixi was in the middle of praising the cubs for their great work when she looked up and saw Feiyan had returned.
"Why are you back so soon?"
His light brown, fox-like eyes quickly scanned her from head to toe, then darted to the cubs. Only after confirming they were all unharmed did he ask, "Xixi, what happened?"
’Why do I get the feeling I’ve been tricked?’
Qiao Xixi blinked and smiled. "Oh, nothing. Just after you left, a few bad guys showed up. So, the cubs and I subdued them, and then we had the guards take them away."
Feiyan’s eyes filled with suspicion. While he could be stubborn and a bit dense at times, he wasn’t an idiot when it came to important matters.
"Xixi, that man was obviously a Priest. He’s the Priest from Tiger Beast City."
Qiao Xixi blinked. ’This silly fox actually figured it out.’ "Well, that’s great, then! We’ve captured their Priest."
Feiyan: ...
’Do I really seem that stupid?’
"No problems outside, right?"
Feiyan nodded. The beastmen sent to create a distraction outside had been suppressed by him and the patrol team, which was why he had been able to return so quickly.
"I see. I wonder how Sunxiao and the others are doing."
Meanwhile, elsewhere in the tribe, Sunxiao sank his teeth into Yun Qi’s claw.
His face went white with pain. He beat his wings to knock Sunxiao away, then turned and flew toward Jin Che. Snatching Jin Che, he shot up into the sky.
The members of the Wing Clan in the tribe tried to give chase, but Yun Qi was too fast. With their level of power, they couldn’t possibly catch him and could only watch helplessly as he disappeared into the distance.
Sunxiao’s crimson, snake-like eyes stared coldly at the sky. ’Yun Qi... one day, I’ll devour him!’
"Captain Jin Ling, should we lock up all these captured beastmen?"
Jin Ling’s molten-gold eyes swept over the beastmen. They were all members of the Divine Leopard Tribe, but this time they had followed Fengxuan’s orders and attacked their own. They could not be spared.
"Kill them."
"Yes."
Sunxiao scanned the area. "Fengxuan is missing."
Sangze blurted out instinctively, "Don’t tell me he went to the inner city."
The color drained from Sunxiao and Jin Ling’s faces. Forgetting everything else, they turned and sprinted toward the inner city.
Seeing this, Sangze scrambled to keep up. "Hey, wait for me!"
The three males raced back to the inner city faster than they had ever run before.
The moment they burst into the room, they saw Qiao Xixi sitting on a stool, munching on a piece of fruit.
Hearing the commotion, Qiao Xixi looked up. She saw the three males—two looking grim, one utterly bewildered—and blinked. "You’re all back. How did it go? No one’s hurt, are they?"
Jin Ling strode over to Qiao Xixi and took her hands, looking her over from head to toe. Only after making sure she was unharmed did he say gently, "It was nothing. Fengxuan and his men finally made their move. We fought, but we couldn’t capture them."
Qiao Xixi swallowed the fruit in her mouth. "We caught one. They said he was a Priest. What was his name... oh, right. Fengxuan."
A peculiar glint flashed deep in the eyes of both Sunxiao and Jin Ling.
Sunxiao asked, "Who captured Fengxuan?"
"Xixi!"
Jin Ling and the others looked up to see Feiyan enter, his face flushed red as he carried Qiao Ang. It was hard to tell if it was from anger.
Knowing he had betrayed his mother, Qiao Ang covered his face with his small hands. He was too ashamed to face her. *Sob sob sob...*
The moment Qiao Xixi saw this, she stood up, ready to make a run for it.
In a flash, Sunxiao had her locked in his arms. "Xixi, what are you afraid of?"
Qiao Xixi put on a brave front. "What’s there to be afraid of? I’m your matriarch. It’s not like you’re going to eat me!"
Feiyan snorted. "She knew all along that Fengxuan would send people after her. She made preparations with the cubs well in advance. When she sensed the danger, she deliberately sent me away so she and the cubs could face those people alone!"
After Feiyan finished speaking, Sunxiao’s face turned terrifyingly dark. Even the ever-gentle Jin Ling’s expression hardened, the usual softness in his eyes gone as he stared gravely at Qiao Xixi.
Qiao Xixi tried to argue her way out of it. "But you have to admit, I was amazing, right? I captured Fengxuan in one fell swoop!"
Jin Ling’s grip on her hand tightened. "Xixi!"
Qiao Xixi’s bravado crumbled. "Okay, okay, I get it! I just had a hunch they were going to make a move. And not just against Sangze, but against me and the cubs, too. We look so weak and helpless. Wouldn’t it be easier to grab us than you guys?"
Sunxiao’s snake-like eyes narrowed. "So you sent us away on purpose and used yourself as bait!"
Qiao Xixi’s voice trailed off. "But I was fully prepared..."
In truth, she hadn’t been sure who would show up, but she had a strong feeling they would send someone important to capture her.
That’s why Qiao Xixi had used her points to redeem the powerful anesthetic from the shop ahead of time. She and the cubs had planned out exactly what to do when the moment came. Their teamwork as mother and children was flawless. When the room went dark, they used their small size and agility to their advantage and took down Fengxuan and his men.
Feiyan took a mask from Qiao Ang’s hand and set it on the table. "Then what," he demanded, "is this?"
