Chương 840: 840 My Hero Academia: Magne's Freedom and Spinner's Transformation, Withdrawal from the League of Villains, Debí and Twice Cornered, and The Speed Force!
Allen floated silently above their heads.
It felt like a breath of relief after suffocating for Mandalay and Tiger, as if his mere presence solved every problem. It was like a ray of light for Deku and Kota, someone they admired. But for the villains, it was a chilling sensation, like ants crawling beneath their skin.
"Allen-san," Deku said, breathing in relief.
"Yo..." Allen looked at everyone present and tossed Moonfish toward Tiger, who caught him.
"This is him!" 1
Tiger immediately recognized the villain. This disturbing man was a dangerous psychopath; fortunately, he was no longer a threat—his teeth were broken, and he was unconscious.
"Moonfish..." Magne growled. She knew how strong this villain was, but he didn't stand a chance against Allen. 1
"Damn!"
Spinner and Magne were seasoned villains, wanted by the police and listed among the most notorious criminals. These two were members of the League of Villains under Shigaraki—the B team of All For One. Even so, neither could move in his presence.
Absolute...
Only someone with immense confidence would choose that word as their hero name. However, this wasn't just ego—it wasn't empty promises, nor a name for appearances.
He had an almost perfect record since his debut (with only a certain underground idol and a villain/pet who occasionally escaped him). With strength that already surpassed most heroes—not just nationally, but worldwide—with impossible feats, with the ability to reduce crime by 50% across the entire country for two hours a day, and by 99% in Mustafu.
This young man was anything but just another UA student.
They knew it. Both of them knew it. That's why, from the very beginning, their plan was never to stay too long.
'That monster couldn't even hold him back for five minutes?!' Magne knew they were screwed; it didn't even cross her mind to face Allen.
"Spinner..." Magne whispered.
Spinner turned, understanding her intention. "Surrender." Surrender meant going to prison—something neither of them wanted. Magne wanted to live freely, without rules, without answering to anyone. As for Spinner, he wanted to change society and fulfill Stain's dream.
Both of them clenched their teeth...
"Wait..."
Allen, as his gaze shifted toward Pixie-Bob, floated toward her and landed on the ground.
The woman was unconscious, blood near her temple indicating a heavy blow. He knelt, switched templates to use healing magic, and visibly, the wound on Pixie-Bob's head closed as she opened her eyes.
"Are you an angel or a prince?" the woman said, somewhat dazed but with an enchanted look.
Allen chuckled softly, wiping Pixie-Bob's forehead.
"I'm many things, but not an angel... and I'm not a prince either. Maybe I'm an emperor or something—does that work for you?"
Pixie-Bob smiled mischievously before extending her hand and touching Allen's cheek.
"Depends… will I still get my kiss?"
"Shouldn't you be asleep for that?" Allen teased.
"I can pretend if necessary~"
Cough!
Mandalay, unable to take it anymore, interrupted them.
"Come on, don't get jealous over just this," Pixie-Bob said reproachfully while puffing one cheek. "You've done worse. Don't be so greedy." 1
Mandalay turned completely red, unable to respond.
Tiger laughed before raising his thumb.
"That's not right, not right at all—but if it makes you happy, I'll gladly give you my blessing!"
"That's not it!" Mandalay shouted, feeling like burying her head in a hole.
As for Pixie-Bob, she wrapped her arms around Allen's neck, deeply moved.
"Did you hear that? We can get married!" 2
"..." Allen remained silent. He had realized Pixie-Bob was a woman desperate to get married, but he hadn't imagined it was to this extent. They weren't even dating, and she was already setting a wedding date.
....
Albedo – That woman is desperate...
Raven – You're one to talk.
Aphrodite – What nonsense.
Rangiku – Hm, I didn't expect the goddess of love of all people to disapprove of marriage.
Aphrodite – No, I definitely approve—but why wait until marriage to have children?!🖤 1
Gwen – This goddess... -_-
MJ – She's a lost cause -_-
....
"Everything can be left for later," Allen said. As expected, everyone thought he had subtly rejected Pixie-Bob—but to everyone's surprise, he kissed her on the cheek, leaving her stunned. "Since you're awake now, this should be enough for the moment."
Pixie-Bob seemed to completely lose consciousness as her soul ascended to the astral plane.
Allen shook his head and stood up, leaving Pixie seated.
"Spinner and Magne, if I'm not mistaken..."
"...!" Spinner clenched his fists.
"Allen Walker... what happened to the Nomu?!" Magne asked, trying to buy as much time as possible until Kurogiri appeared.
Allen scoffed. "I assume that was the opponent you brought for me, but you should've taken advantage and brought more. One alone didn't even last a minute."
Both villains felt the pressure.
"Well? Are you going to surrender?"
Spinner pointed at Allen as the veins in his already massive, muscular body bulged.
"Allen Walker, the world may see you as a hero, but you're the most contradictory of all! You save more people than most, but you charge outrageous amounts of money for it. You help many, yet you boast about it in front of everyone... what exactly are you?!"
Allen stopped and looked at Spinner. There was something familiar about him—and then he remembered Stain.
"I see. If you really want to know... I am," Allen shrugged, "a person."
"Huh? What does that even mean?!" Spinner wasn't the smartest person; he tended to see things in black and white. If a hero wasn't completely pure, then they were a fake hero.
"Everyone expects heroes to be paragons of virtue and villains to be ruthless monsters. But the reality is that most heroes are mundane—many work for fame, others for money, and that's not wrong."
"What did you say?!" Spinner got so angry that he felt the urge to attack Allen.
"Calm down, Spinner!" Magne exclaimed.
Allen's gaze turned cold and disdainful.
"Does it surprise you that a person is a person? Heroes are human, villains are too. A hero might want popularity—that could be their motivation. A villain could be someone pitiful who was pushed into becoming one. But you know what? That doesn't change anything!"
Magne stepped back.
"You want freedom, Magne?" Allen mocked. "Three murders and twenty-seven attempted murders—does your freedom outweigh people's lives?!"
"That..."
Spinner stomped the ground.
"Those are excuses! Selfish heroes like that create abandoned children. It's easier to label a kid with a dangerous Quirk as a villain without even understanding what they're going through!"
"It's true—I don't justify everything the Commission and the current system do. But it's far, far better than the world All For One wants..."
"Hahaha!" Spinner laughed. "That's exactly the mindset I hate the most. Doing nothing is the same as supporting it. If you were truly a hero, you'd use that power to wipe out all corrupt heroes!"
Allen frowned. If we're talking about pitiful villains, there's Himiko—her actions aren't justified, but her Quirk indeed creates an obsession with drinking blood, and that isn't her fault. As for heroes, forgiving everything Endeavor did just because he's the number two hero isn't justifiable either.
"However, understanding that there are cornered villains and corrupt heroes doesn't justify your actions here!"
"We're not children. Many heroes are needed because there are many villains. You can't accept them by filtering virtue."
Allen began to emit an oppressive aura.
"I don't deny it—a virtuous hero like All Might is necessary. But he's only one person. One who gets tired, who suffers, who gets hurt, who will eventually be defeated by time. That's why new generations of heroes are needed— inexperienced, who make mistakes, who aren't perfect but can still extend a hand to those in need—and you want to destroy that?! Don't Give Me That! Don't come at me saying it's society's fault when your objective here is this disgusting!"
Magne stepped back, breathing heavily. Being in front of Allen made it impossible for her to even raise her head.
"Magne..." Spinner called his friend. "Run..."
"Spinner!"
Spinner rushed toward Allen, gathering all the power of Trigger, preparing to buy time for Magne to escape.
"Ahhhhh!"
Time slowed in Spinner's eyes. Thanks to Trigger, he could reach a level of strength his Quirk would never allow.
His fist clenched with enough force to split a tank. His skin hardened like dragon scales. The wind was cut as his punch created friction through it.
Holding his breath and that power, his fist struck Allen's head with devastating force.
Something broke... but not what Spinner expected. His smile and confidence shattered as he saw his own fist breaking.
"My turn."
Allen didn't punch—he simply placed his palm on Spinner's chest and pushed.
"...!"
Instantly, Spinner was sent flying, crashing into a tree, where he finally realized what had happened—but he didn't stop. He kept smashing into every tree in his path, tearing through the Beast Forest and leaving destruction in his wake until he finally slammed into the mountain range, where he came to a stop. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"Spinner... how dare you?!" Magne shouted angrily. She no longer cared about escaping—she only wanted revenge. For misfits like them, the League of Villains was their only home, and these people were their family. At least, that was true for Shigaraki's subordinates.
Magne used her Quirk. It allowed her to attract and repel like a magnet; normally, she needed to link people together, but with her large magnet, she could do it without that requirement.
Allen felt a force pushing him, but he chose to ignore it and walked toward Magne.
"Damn it!"
"What did you expect? Ever since I got here, what were you expecting?" Allen stopped smiling. "That you'd come here, destroy everything, and then go grab coffee or something?"
Sweating, Magne tried to repel Allen, but it was like trying to push a mountain.
Knowing it was useless, Magne pointed at Mandalay. She was enveloped in a pink aura and pulled toward Magne.
"What?!" Mandalay was confused.
"That's the power she used on me!" Pixie-Bob exclaimed.
"It's planning to take hostages!" Deku shouted.
Everyone looked desperate—except Allen, who spoke in a low tone, his voice chillingly cold.
"Stop."
Magne instinctively stopped using her Quirk, and Mandalay dropped to the ground midway.
"Ouch!"
Magne turned toward Allen and saw him with the same carefree attitude as always, but just a moment ago, she had felt her life in danger for some reason.
"I can overlook many things. I won't condemn you for making bad decisions. I won't trample on your way of living just because I don't agree with it. I can even empathize to a certain extent with your tragic pasts, but... the moment you use, hurt, or even threaten my friends, I'll stop being nice..."
Magne lowered her head. "I'm sorry..."
Allen sighed, and the oppressive atmosphere vanished, replaced by his shameless smile.
"Excellent. Now tell me, Magne—would you prefer that I capture your friends peacefully, or would you rather let them hurt someone first so I have to get a little aggressive?"
Magne shuddered, dropped her magnet, and fell to her knees.
"Fine... I surrender. I won't fight anymore. I'm just worried about the others."
Allen nodded, smiled at Mandalay as if leaving things in her care—and vanished.
....
"Damn it!" Dabi and Twice ran through the forest, trying to escape. "How did everything fail so miserably?!"
"Wait, you bastard—are you really going to leave everyone behind?!" said a man in a black villain suit with a white mask. He looked oddly like someone who would wear a Deadpool-style outfit—this was Twice, a villain capable of duplicating anything he touched, even creating clones of other people. These clones could have the same Quirks and personalities as the original, making it an absurd ability—since even his own clones could rebel against him. 1
"Idiot! Allen Walker is hunting us down. If we get caught, it's over!"
"You're right... No, we can't abandon anyone! We have to escape! No fighting!" Twice also suffered from split personalities due to his Quirk, making him mentally unstable—but strangely, he had a strong sense of camaraderie.
Dabi sighed but didn't stop running.
"Did we make a mistake?"
Dabi had come to see his brother—or rather, he had dark intentions—but he never got the chance. The entire plan had collapsed too quickly.
"What kind of monster is Allen Walker?"
Everyone knew how powerful the High-End Nomu was. It could fight all of them at once. It was true that defeating Allen would be impossible for that creature—but it should have at least bought them some time. After all, it had super regeneration, a Quirk that made someone partially immortal.
"Going somewhere, gentlemen?"
Allen appeared in front of Dabi and Twice.
"Impossible! How did you know which one was the original?!" Twice exclaimed. To escape, he had created copies of Dabi and sent them in different directions.
"As expected, he can see through the entire forest..." Dabi muttered, immediately unleashing a full-power attack of blue flames.
The flames struck Allen, creating an incandescent pillar burning at three thousand degrees Celsius—hotter than ordinary fire or lava.
However, inside the flames, Allen smiled and blew them out, extinguishing the fire and freezing Dabi and Twice's feet.
"Refreshing—but not even half as hot as the surface of the sun," Allen said with a grin.
"As I thought... It's impossible..." Dabi narrowed his eyes. "Allen Walker, I—"
Allen switched templates and shut Dabi's mouth with telekinesis.
"Stop. I'm tired of arguing with villains about ideals and convictions. Let's just finish this."
Allen floated toward them. Dabi didn't move, but Twice struggled comically to break free.
"Wait!"
From the top of a tree, a masked villain wearing a yellow trench coat and a top hat appeared—he looked extremely extravagant.
"Mr. Compress!" Twice exclaimed like a princess seeing her knight.
[Atsuhiro Sako "Mr. Compress" 1
Quirk: Compress
Type: Emitter]
"I'll warn you—I'm not in the mood to hear arguments," Allen said, though he didn't stop using telekinesis to restrain Dabi and Twice.
"Please, remain calm, Mr. Walker. Unlike my companions, I'm capable of showing respect."
"..."
Seeing Allen's impatience, Compress hurriedly spoke while pulling a blue marble from his pocket.
"Please, look at this!"
Allen's eyes widened. He didn't need an explanation—inside was one of the Class 1-B students.
"First of all, thank you for not attacking me the moment you saw this. This is my Quirk. It allows me to trap people like this. It's not its primary function, but it works."
"What's your point?"
"There are four more of these 'male' students trapped within my Quirk within a twenty-mile radius. One is beneath a lake, another on top of a cliff, another inside a cave with a bear, and the last one in an eagle's nest."
Compress bowed respectfully.
"Don't misunderstand—I have no intention of harming these students. I only wish to free my companions."
"Let me guess—if I knock you unconscious, the effect of your Quirk ends."
"That is correct..."
Dabi and Twice were impressed by how Compress handled the situation. While they had relied on the High-End Nomu, Compress had anticipated defeat and planned an escape from Allen Walker.
Allen laughed.
This surprised Compress and made him sweat. If his plan failed, he had no other ideas. Still, he was careful—not showing hostility, not insulting Allen, and only targeting Class 1-B boys.
"You underestimate me..."
Allen mocked him and switched templates. Soon, his body was covered in a layer of electricity—but this wasn't the power of Thor, Mikoto, or Enel. It had nothing to do with lightning—it was something... faster.
The world slowed to the point where time seemed frozen—for everyone except Allen.
Allen looked at Compress, approached him, took the marble, and slapped him. Then he ran toward the first location. 2
He reached the lake and entered the water, which felt like gelatin. He went in and out so fast he didn't even get wet. Then he ran to the second student, who was in a nest. Allen climbed the tree and grabbed the marble—but unexpectedly found underwear in the nest. He wondered whether Compress was a pervert or if the nest's owner—a crow—was a cultured bird. 1
The third student was trapped in a marble inside a small crevice. Allen vibrated his hand and phased through it like Kitty, then crossed the distance to reach the last—but along the way, he stopped in the forest, seeing Himiko tied to a tree while Ochako and Toru scolded her. 2
Allen laughed at the situation, approached at super speed, and kissed both girls on the cheek—they had done a good job capturing Himiko.
When he reached the bear's cave, Allen saw the marble and a large grizzly bear hibernating. He thought for a moment before disappearing and returning—leaving a Spinner there.
Once Allen returned to where the three villains were, he deactivated his super speed.
At that moment, Compress was sent flying and crashed into a tree. Dabi and Twice, not knowing what had happened, looked at Allen in disbelief. In his hand were five marbles that suddenly turned into five Class 1-B students.
"Ouch!" Yosetsu Awase shouted as he landed on his backside.
"What happened?!" Sen Kaibara said, confused.
Togaru Kamakiri looked around. "Did a villain attack us?!"
Shihai Kuroiro blinked as he looked at Allen. "Walker-san?"
"You got lucky," Allen said to the Class 1-B students.
Allen walked toward Dabi and Twice.
"This is checkmate..."
....
In his dimly lit room, All For One had finished listening to the doctor's report. He had been informed of the mission's failure and the capture of nearly all of Shigaraki's League of Villains.
"Don't worry. We just need to free them—that's all..."
"That's true," the doctor said, encouraged.
Heroes didn't kill villains, so being defeated and captured by them wasn't the end.
All For One continued reading. He had already anticipated this outcome.
"There was no way the current Tomura could even trouble Allen Walker-kun."
"Master," the doctor said nervously, "I don't understand. If you knew, why didn't you stop it?"
All For One stopped reading and smiled.
"Because that is my philosophy. For villains, it's always 'no'—don't kill, don't steal, don't destroy. I won't do the same as them. If Tomura-kun wishes to destroy, then let him. I'll help him as much as I can as he grows up"
The doctor's eyes widened. Before, he had doubted that All For One felt affection for his adopted son. After all, the Demon King wasn't known for caring about anyone—but it seemed he was mistaken. Even All For One had a heart.
All For One's smile faded slightly without the doctor noticing. No one knew what that man was thinking—but it was something chilling.
