Chapter 57: Aura 100

As Quash was debating, he suddenly remembered that the Academy City has a room for Cultivation. The Natural Energy is gathered in that room through a Formation for a better environment for Cultivation.

He felt like an idiot for forgetting that. So without wasting any time, he went there and booked a room for 10 hours. The cost was 100,000 Geanod per hour. So he paid 1 Million Geanod. He felt his heart and pocket bleed but to make the money worth it, he set his goal of bringing his Aura Stats to Class Limit.

Thus, Quash entered the room. It looks like a white cube from the inside. The walls, ground, and ceiling all have white tiles. Quash didn’t think much of it and sat down in the middle. This would be the first time he is going all out in Circulation.

Quash took a deep breath and let the breath trickle out slowly. Then he began. The moment he did, the surrounding Natural Energy started to rush towards him but the room was already extremely dense in Natural Energy, so it barely made any difference.

As he was circulating, he noticed that the speed of Circulation doesn’t actually affect the intake of Natural Energy much. The speed only matters in processing the raw Natural Energy and turning it into Aura.

’So that’s why one needs a higher grade Cultivation Method...’

But that’s about it. He noted it and put it aside for now. He has no solution as of now. He felt it would be a waste of time to think so.

And after sorting everything out, Quash went into a deep meditative state (he fell asleep).

¯\_(ツ)_/¯¯\_(ツ)_/¯¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Quash opened his eyes after feeling a slight alienation in his body. The warm and cold feeling in his veins had suddenly stopped, making him wake up from the good sleep.

He opened his status window and saw that his Pure Aura Stat had also hit Class Limit. Which was a good thing but Quash felt bitter instead. He noticed the time and saw that only a little over 7 hours had passed.

He wondered if he should go out and watch matches of the Top 100 since by now, they would probably be all over each other.

Or, should he sleep for the rest of the three hours and make up for the loss? After an intense debate, he decided to sleep for the next three hours. If he left now, the company running this will profit extra by renting this room to someone else. That is not something he could accept.

So he pulled out a pillow and a blanket, made himself comfortable and fell asleep. Because of Natural Energy, the temperature was just perfect. Not too cold, not too hot. Nor was it stagnant, it was constantly shifting between warm and a slight chill.

(+_+)(+_+)(+_+)

Quash woke up again after three hours when he was notified his time was up through an announcement. Quash packed his things and made his way towards the 1st Battle Hall. But midway through, he became curious if the line in front of the Skill Tree Orb Hall had shrunk or not.

But when he reached it, he immediately turned around. The line had gotten longer instead.

After Quash’s short detour, he came to the Battle Hall. And the air around it was exceptionally lively. The front was filled with not only the media people but also participants who came to watch how the Top 100 fights.

Some sports channel even set up a large screen, displaying an intense fight on the screen. Quash stopped to watch for a moment. The screen displayed a fight between a mage and a Knight. Normally, the Knight would be at an advantage when they closed the gap. But the Battle on the screen showed a stalemate. Both were equally matched.

Each attack and defense was impeccable and catastrophic. The battlefield was in shambles. Which showed the gap between a person on Class Limit and a person who has surpassed it. The tiles in the battlefield were strong enough to take his Aura Enhanced push without a scratch.

"Um. Excuse me. You’re Quash Ogmore right?"

As Quash was deeply immersed in the fight, someone called out to him. He turned his head to find a camera pointed at his face. He reckoned that this person was a stray influencer. Since their camera has no logo.

"Sigh~. No. I just look like him."

He was about to frown but sighed instead. Making it look like he really has been approached a lot of times and he was sick of it.

"But I have never seen someone else like him though?"

But the person was relentless. Quash opened his mouth to say that there were nearly 1.5 million people around his age, how were they so sure but stopped.

"Look! Holy cow!"

"Huh!?"

Instead he pointed at a random direction while exclaiming. The influencer instinctively turned around. Without even understanding why but the moment they turned back realising that they had been fooled, Quash was already gone.

They looked around but couldn’t find him. They quickly scrammed from the place because the embarrassment was real. Getting fooled by such an obvious trick.

A few gazes bore into them, making their face heat up.

Inside the Battle Hall, Quash didn’t register his name in the Active List. Since he was going to challenge the 20th Rank after all. There was no meaning.

He made his way into the arena while thinking about the influencer. If that person was smart, they will turn that bizarre encounter and their humiliation to get famous.

’I gave you the key to become successful, rest is up to you.’

He thought internally. When Quash arrived, the matches were going as usual. But there was an anomaly. There was no place left to sit. Which was odd. The bleachers were made to hold more than 10,000 people with ease.

But that was not the case at the moment. But Quash still was determined to sit so he started to walk around. He soon found the reason why there was a shortage of space.

There they were, all seated like everyone else in the bleachers. The Top 100. But one person was missing though. Which wasn’t a surprise since she wasn’t present in the novel as well.

The students around them gave space out of respect. Not daring to sit near them. Feeling unworthy. But Quash didn’t care about those. His brain was still feeling a bit clogged because he woke up not long ago. So he chose a random place to sit in the middle rows where everything can be viewed clearly.

"Hey mongrel, do you know who you are sitting beside right now?"

But a voice interrupted him seconds after he sat down. He looked back and saw a dude with brown hair and red eyes glaring at him for some reason.

He then looked beside him and he instantly recognised the person. Beside him was an extremely beautiful girl with golden hair and eyes looking at him with interest.

She was the 3rd Princess of the strongest empire of the Human race. So she was an imperial royalty. So a greeting was a must.

But the thing is, people say good morning in the morning, good afternoon in the afternoon, evening in the evening when they met.

But now is night what is he supposed to say?

Quash scratched his cheek in contemplation but gave up thinking halfway through.

"Your Highness... Aaaa... Goodnight?"

"Pfft-!"

His response immediately earned him a small burst of a laugh from her but she immediately composed herself. And another thing that changed was that, the glaring, it became even more intense.

And it made Quash feel like he was getting a spiritual massage. There were many looking at him in envy. And he liked every bit of it.
